That was awesome! I haven’t heard that song in at least 30 years, and I always liked it. I’m pretty sure that Billy would have loved Lamont’s cover too. That keyboard player was no slouch either. That was Billy’s instrument and this guy did him a real solid. I still remember Billy jamming with the Beatles back in the day. In fact he was part of that final rooftop concert. I haven’t seen the movie that just came out, so I don’t know if that’s in it, but he sat in on several of the songs that the Beatles put out. Great choice Ed! 👏👏👏🌹🤘🤘🤘
Holy cow, that RUclips algorithm isn't always a fail 😁 Fun thing with AGT (and other talent shows) is, that usually the people I like don't make it, which isn't necessarily bad. They get the attention and keep the freedom.
He was not bad but it caused me to look up Billy Preston and he passed away in 2006 so, we won't be hearing anything from Billy. He seemed to be a little late in his timing but nonetheless a good performance.
