This game made my heart nearly break... All the journeying through the various different territories, meeting every character who still thought they were simply chasing treasure, blissfully unaware of their previous life. This cat, driven by hope to find its owner, time and time again, never giving up, despite the many challenges it had. Such dedication to return to a world where it was gone, to lay within the cross, watching and watching as life continued on and yet never losing hope. I just needed to cry. Thanks for reading... and thank you, creator, for helping to create this amazing game. 💖💖💖
I just can't believe what will be of Nora, imagine her dissapointment when she realizes the kitty had gone away leaving her behind, she would be so worried
I think the cat knew it was dead, but it doesn’t wanted to be there forever (due to the torture of having to beat enemies and jumping traps), so it defeated the entity who controls that world and in the ending, it rests in peace. I would say it’s a sad ending, but a GREAT ending, because resting in peace, he may could still watch it’s owner live, due to it’s link to her.
I think a lot of people don't realize the terribly sad ending hidden behind the cat. Think about the other characters. They're doomed to forever search for the treasure, the treasure of memories, that they'll never find. They lost the cat, a good friend, and they're going to think the cat died in their world. Once you realize this it makes the story a whole lot more emotional
Personally I never really think of endings too hard which is a trait about me which I wish I could change. Even stuff like Omori doesn't really break me. Well, it got a tear but that's about it... really sucks. It's weird because I'm an emotional person when it comes to sadness, but everything BUT what makes me feel sad makes me feel sad

Albeit I do have my issues with the controls and physics of this game - in particular, the jumping and collisions - , I do have to say that it does have a very beautiful soundtrack. I found the exploration music lovely. It made the experience less frustrating, and I didn't get tired of hearing it over and over again (because I kept dying of course haha). That alone is a huge feat! The transition is pretty seamless, the notes are distinct and allow you to form memories of the levels. (Memory seems to be a big topic on this game as well...) The boss battle music was also very good, and had a realistic contrast against the platforming levels. I have read that this is your first project, Shiou. You did a really good job! I really love the tracks you made, and I hope you can involve yourself in new projects. Hope to hear more of your work soon!
