So I learned what a lesbian is and caught on. I knew what a lesbian was, but I always thought at that age they were L.L. Bean types. But she was hot and totally crushable. I have a cute story involving Joan Jett from my youth. Joan was one of the founders of The Runaways at 16 years of age. In 1978 they toured Sweden and I was at a small outside venue to see them with a friend. A bit before the gig I went behind the stage (a small venue with the dressing room behind the stage) and climbed the fence that was surrounding the stairs to the cellar. Above the fence was a small window to the dressing room, and as this was during the summer month it was open. I stuck my head inside and there they was, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Sandy West and Vicky Blue.
They all smiled at me as I said hi (the only word I could come up with in the magical moment), and Joan walked over to the window and gently caressed my cheek and at the same time gently pushed my head out with a smile and the words:
    - Sorry boy!
I was in heaven for the rest of the night and I said to my friend that I would never wash my face again. 😊😋
I was 15 years old at the time and Joan was 19 at the moment, turning 20 later that year.

Love Joan. The original bad ass Rocker chick, even as a teenager in the Runaways. Love her big 80s hair. Takes me back to high school and college. One of my favorite Joan Jett songs is from later in her career called AC/DC. Super catchy and a fun little play on sexuality. Music video features Carmen Electra.

The NFL used this I believe Carrie Underwood sang “I’m Waiting All Day For Sunday Night” as opening theme for Sunday Night Football.
Joan Jet is a true Queen of Rock. I saw her and The Blackhearts last July on tour with Brian Adams. Both were great but Joan Jett still rocks very hard well into her 60s. Her classic is I Love Rock n Roll.

This song saw a resurgence about 20 years ago when used this for its theme song (lyrics were changed). First 10 years sung by Faith Hill and the last 10 years it’s been Carrie Underwood. 😊

There's a Family band called Liliac lead singer Melony and she blows this song away with her cover of this song

There is no one like her and she is still doing! Some of her hits were written by others like I Love Rock And Roll and Crimson And Clover. Othereswritten by her and Kenny Laguna. First saw her on a whim in 1981 at a small theater. I could swear me and my wife were the only two in the audience not dressed in black leather.

I've seen Joan live several times and this badass chick always, always brings it. Still kicking ass on stage at a young 65.

    Sam is a trouper. 🙂
I too am in the middle of a move, so I feel your pain Phil.
Back in the early Eighties I would have the windows rolled down, the volume up with her cassette tape cued up to this song and drive through a sleepy small town by the military installation where I was stationed early on a Sunday morning. Then blast out of there before the sheriff could respond to the "noise disturbance."
    Fun times.

She did a great cover of Crimson and Clover. I think you'll love it.
And yeah, you're right about the nighttime football opening. They took this tune and changed the lyrics.

Most bands that have been around a while have a very good health regimen. Working out and most are now clean which has given these groups from the 70s, 80s, and 90s the staying power
Just saw Steve Miller, Journey, and Def Leppard and most are age 60s and 70s and still do a great, energetic show, and all are fit!

I'm not sure how Sam came up with that comment? Most were pretty fit, doing the high kick was almost a prerequisite
