Bill C. Muguai it's hard to understand the psychology of trauma. People process trauma differently. Seems like they didnt choose to separate. The closes thing I can think of is like loosing a child. Couples find it hard to process it and can end up separating because of guilt etc etc. Long term therapy is needed.
Rape affects amongst other things, physical intimacy & how the husband/man perceives his wife/woman. This alone is a bad enough strain on any marriage, not forgetting she has her own trauma to deal with. Such incidents more often than not end up destroying with separation.
Am I the only one wondering why they didn’t press charges? Annoyingly I know of a family member who was swindled by a business partner, decided to forgive him. It’s an African thing 😤 or maybe the wife didn’t want that ‘raped’ label on her?
