- Isn't it funny how we easily we make and commit to plans for the day, week, year. We don't know that our lives can turn in a moment. Annie and Sharon (Shazz) were going about their day having made plans for the afternoon. They recount their experience inside the Westgate shopping mall during the terrorist attack in 2013. This is a beautiful story of courage, faith, resilience and the beauty of family.

I am in South Africa.. We heard ad abt the shooting... Some Kenyans asked us to pray for u. I was worried for pple tht I have never met or seen... I was worried about the Christians who were being killed. I am glad to hear your story... God is great. We thank him for taking care of u
This brought tears to my eyes. They fit in some humor into the narration but you can feel the emotions, the rawness of the situation. Glad I watched it. We surely take being alive to see another day for granted.

I remember when i heard about the westgate thing, i was not understanding what was happening, i was miles away form Nairobi, but without knowing what was happening i went straight to my room, down on my knees on my carpet, i cried to the Lord like never before, for the souls inside the mall, God heard my prayer because many were rescued and i thank him up to date.
judith kilonzo this has brought fresh memories. I was in high school when it happened and I remember gathering with a couple of classmates in the dormitory, knelt, genuinely cried and prayed to God for the lives of everyone and His will was done.

This was quite a conversation. We cannot underestimate the power of God in life. What a tragedy it was. But I loved the way you two told the story.
Wow! What a story and a true testimony to how God works Annie and Sharon, I loved it. And I like the humour the two of you could see in it, which tells me that you were indeed comforted by the fact that you had God's angels protecting you and those you were with, in the midst of the tragedy and mortal danger you were facing. I just broke down and cried when you said you saw your dad coming in to look for the both of you, because I believe mine would do the same if I was faced with a similar situation. God bless. God is good and faithful, let us look to Him for help and lean on Him in good and in bad times. His grace is sufficient always.

Oh my God, the tears I have cried...ladies, your father has my greatest admiration. His courage has reminded me of the love of God our father and my biological father.
It is no mean fit to recount and recall the horrific and traumatizing details of that dreaded day; However, I thank God that through it all the blood of Jesus was upon you and those around you, and you lived to tell the tale of this grand testimony. Thank you God.

They are such great narrators but most importantly this is a story of hope, a story of life and a story of a second chance. A chance to live right, extend love, cherish others and thank God for what we term minor without knowing how priceless it is. I am in a loss for the right words.
My adoration for these ladies is immense. They looks between the two of them speaks volumes about their bond and their story is powerful. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Being so soft spoken is perfect as story tellers. Emotional, hilarious and compassionate throughout.

Just a beautiful narration...love this two ladies.
Reminds me of a day years back when someone raised the alarm of an armed robbery at my workplace...I looked around...everyone scampering&screaming. I was applying makeup at the time&by the look of things we were cornered...so what do i do...I continue applying makeup calmly as I prayed&told Jesus I am coming home beautifully that's if the robbers don't listen to my pleas. God gave me such calmness&it turned out to be a false alarm😆

The power of prayer. Especially that of a father. God answers. Love the way the ladies tell this story. We may not always understand why things happen. I remember shazz telling me about her experience immediately it happened. The story about the girl reading the book has never left me till his day.

This is so emotional, shows you the strength of prayer and trust in God, how far a parent can be willing to go for his children. For sure God is faithful and these 2 sisters will live to testify that. Their way of narration is also amazing; engaging and with a sense of humor.

This is soo moving, wooooi tears😨😰am beyond tears, and yes my dad would have come to get me; and once you go through a crisis like this, it changes your perspective in life and you value your family soo much more. You appreciate each and every moment you have with them,family is a true treasure. Trauma makes you understand others better and have true empathy.

It was a miracle for you and God is faithful. We lost a brother in-law(my husband's elder brother). A friend,a brother,a son,a dad,a granddad,a husband,a civil servant...he was many things. We have never recovered.
