Digging that style for winter. I have a pair of Sorrel insulated duck boots that are 5yrs old and still in peak condition used for clearing deep snow. Last yr I picked up a pair of Blundstone 550’s from Sierra for $140 that handled the Chicago winter beautifully. You can use optional Blundstone wool foot liner or any 3rd party liner but I just wore thick wool socks and I was perfectly fine for city commutes. Blundstone boots are surprisingly light on foot and more comfortable for all day wear than a sneaker. The leather of the upper is very supple to the touch and The single color lugged outsole looks more office ready than a multi color outsole. I’ve had no TPU hydrolysis issues (just rinse off the salt and wear the boots often to prevent). I wouldn’t pay $200 for any TPU boot at after wearing them just about every other day last fall/winter, I can understand why someone else would.
David I'm wearing the boots today in our rain/ice/snow storm in the North East and they perform very well. Warm and grippy. Only issue is sitting in my office the get very hot and clammy quicker than I would want. So they are not for warm to hot environments.
