With March of the machines there’s different pack ordering
1 Rare or mythic rare
1 Multiverse Legends card
1 Battle card
1 Non-battle double-faced card
3-5 Uncommons (including double-faced cards, battle cards, and Multiverse Legends cards noted above)
8-9 Commons
In a third of boosters replacing a common, one traditional foil card that can be a basic land, common, uncommon, rare, mythic rare, or Multiverse Legends card
So that common in the middle of the uncommons was supposed to be there
It was the garenteed flip card

The enchantment you are referring to is Firey Emancipation from core set 21, 3 and 3 Red….. City on Fire does have Convoke, so a go Wide Naya tokens themed deck seems good…..

This one will be my first prerelease event since 2004. I liked Phyrexia and almost joined that event, but MoM really excited me and made me change my mind. Wish WOTC did things better, but this might be the first set in years that I find interesting and FAIR.
Exacly same situation for me and i share your opinion aswell, i stopped around 2002 and today it will be my first prerelease since, really exited 😁
The "Halo" in "Halo Foil" is referring the the liquid, drug/alcohol/magic elixier stuff (which is basically melted angel juice) from New Capenna. So the foiling is actually pretty on point.
The second you said "don't eat a card" I was like... Joey definitely ate a card 😂
I opened up a set box yesterday and i opened a Ragavan, Atraxa, and a Blightsteel Colossus list pull! I know prices will change as more product is opened but i still scanned all the rares and mythics and as of right now TCG player says they're worth a combined total of $400! It was a nice box for sure, i just hope prices don't drop too much

@@StrykerLee yeah well so far my total has dropped from $394 all the way down to $235. I expect it to drop a bit more but I'll be happy as long as the value stays above what i paid for the box.
Yeah those pre-release prices are insane. I opened a Double Masters pre-release CB that was over $500. Now it's like $240....
But still.... You got a nice box. I'm gonna open a Set tonight as well after pre-release tournament.
Lurrus was banned in vintage for a short amount of time. She was unbanned after the companions rule change.
Opened 2 boosters out of 6. Got Atraxa and Jin-Gitaxias already 😊

So for ONE the NC code on the side of the kits all had a code that corresponded to the color of the die inside, the one ending in “40” was the phyrexian die. For this one, I’m trying to figure out if the code again corresponds to the die color, or the legend pair inside the wrapper with the arena code…

Where can I get the latest lore segments for the sets? Does wizards site have this somewhere?
Just opened my 5x Prerelease packs and got Elesh, Jin, Sheodred, New Phyrexia invasion, and a promo foil Wrenn and Realmbreaker. Definitely more generous than my prerelease Phyrexia packs (it gave me a promo foil Hellraiser, to put it into perspective).
Also, I had a few packing errors in my draft packs. Got the out of order Common cards in about 2/3 of them and even had an upside down and backward card 😮
2:40 yeah it's indeed true that the special art differs for each plane, so Ikoria cards get the Ikoria treatment from that set, New Capenna cards from New Capenna and so fort. The few planes that didn't have alternate art yet, they made something new in this set (like Ravinca). So that is why all the alternate art is different :)

Limited in this set looks so overpowered. I don't foresee doing any limited events for this set.
Why ? In limited everyone has access to the same overpowered cards. So it's quite balanced. This is why I like limited. You don't just woke by spending more money.

@@lark7311 Yeah. It's kinda funny the times I go 4-0 or do really well I almost always pull jank bulk rare stuff. And the times I do mediocre or ok are when I pull the Value cards. I have really amazing luck with pulling some of the most valuable cards in a set whenever I do sealed or draft. But alas when I crack a box it's meh, lol. I did the Hour of Devastation Prerelease and got a Foil Nicol Bolas God-Pharaoh as my promo and a non foil regular one and in my last pack I got a Force of Will Invocation. Did the same with Innistrad and Pulled Foil Liliana of the Veil promo and Foil Snapcaster Mage lol.

I hoping to get an OG Elesh Norn for that one game where I can take all the joy away from my opponent who dropped Ragavan on one and will still loose.
This time u needed to flip the Welsh horn. Err.. Elesh Norn. The ones that dont have a title all have triangles in the upper left. I suppose I could do my own research

Going to a prerelease this weekend for the first time since.. Ouff, I don't even remember. Two years perhaps? Will be fun I'm sure! And I will surely build a pile of junk and end up last. It's tradition. 😊

All the black rares/mythics are bombs - if you open a few you cannot go wrong with that.

This set is pretty much for Commander & to knock a couple prices down 🥱😴

2: Every draft booster for MOM has at least 1 flip card that isn't a battle (of any rarity) and at least one battle (of any rarity). If the battle is a rare or a mythic, it will fill the rare/ mythic slot.
Watching you pulling one mythic after another is setting my expectations for tomorrow's pack opening for sealed event really high.... I'm seeing myself pulling not one mythic and around three lands as rares being totally upset, because I got no bomb to play in my sealed deck 😅
If it helps there are no rare lands in the set?

In draft boosters you will always get a battle(U,R,M) you get a transformation card (C,U,R,M)
And a single face card (U,R,M) and multiverse legends (U,R,M) so that's why your transformation card was a common.
But wotc kinda bending the truth. If either your transform or battle card is rare or mythic you dont get a regular face rare or mythic as you can see in these ooening. False advert again.
@@isprikitik You can still often get two rares or even mythics per draft booster because of the bonus sheet and up to five in a set booster. Many people already saying that it feels like a double masters to open (LRR and Limited Resources). Don't think not having three rares is something you can complain about. I am pretty sure I wouldn't even want that. Draft would be just a lottery who gets the best bombs.

If you manage to flip the cards early prices are great currently (but that is the case before every prerelease).
Dude I’m going this Friday and im so exited, if I even hit just one mythic all be super happy. This set is going to be fantastic
uh. i don't think so. has shitty land cycle. that is not good sign.
@@ChickenMcThiccken Really unsure how you came to this conclusion.
1. For any limited enviroment this land cycle is awesome! Nothing sucks more then opening a pack only to find land has taken your rare slot. The only more exciting thing is having trilands at common otherwise mana can't get much better.
2. For constructed not much else is needed - lands can already support three mana bases without big problems, cutting pain lands would be nice, but isn't necessary.
3. For value/pack openers rare lands are good source of value but besides Kamigawa and New Capenna they are just okay hits nothing major.
So I really don't know why should the land cycle indicate anything. If you are looking for ways how to hate on the set pick from:
a) collector packs include less cards from the main set,
b) not many exciting cards in the main set, but that is hard to predict before they are standard legal
or c) card print quality is low since many of the packs come from US.
However if you are not actively looking to hate on the set MoM is great step in the right direction and I really hope WoTC can keep this up. At least that is my opinion.
@@ChickenMcThiccken dude why do you have to be so pessimistic? it's just a funny little card game. even if the land cycle is crap, there are plenty of neat and interesting cards for a lot of formats. at the least it will be interesting.

@@ChickenMcThiccken they don't have to be good lands, like in that case why doesn't wizards just not reprint basics? they aren't that great compared to shock lands or fetch lands. It's the non-lands I'm excited about, there are plenty of great mythic rares and commander options. I'm not a collector, I just love playing with fun and unique cards with my friends every now and then, and having a good time is what this game was built to do. While you are right that the lands are trash, that doesn't mean that the entire set is, just that you can keep using the lands you're already using anyway.

Agreed 14:38 something is off I said the same thing during my openings. The randomization of seems to be lower, hits seem too clustered.
There are some rally good cards in this set. Wrenn and Realmbreaker is a big hit as well as the Elesh Norn! Faerie Mastermind is a good card. I think the black and white sketch cards look like Garbage and I'm not a fan of the cartoon art as well. Overall, the artwork on this set is subpar. Thank you for the video.
Did I hear correctly that there is a guaranteed mythic in ever draft booster pack???? Some please confirm this one way or the other!!!
Since I'm in Canada everything cost twice as much so my pre-release would be about 40 dollars

Me and my friends are making are own little standard format. 40 card deck you can only have 2 of each common and uncommon and 1 of each rare and mytics. Imo its fun to open a rare and build a little deck around it without breaking your wallet.
You can't really build around a rare right? Since you have only one copy of it. I would just limit the total amount of rares/mythics if that is the intent. However whatever you do it is great to have a play group that is willing to play with this sort of limitation. Sounds super fun!

Thanks for making your videos, man. I was into magic 20+years ago in high school, got out of it, and back in randomly a few years ago.
I mostly collect sets (I like the art more than playing) and your videos really help me decide what set I will look into. Recently your Brothers War videos got me to buy a set booster box which led to another. I pulled a schematic mox amber followed immediately by portal to phyrexia. All I could think of was "man, I wish I had a bell".

Hey there! Always fun watching you open packs! I did what to point out that the variances are a reflection of the Multiverse, so all the different card types are from the different universes.
Cool artwork of reprinted good cards are a good thing for magic. I’m worried all these influencers complaining because it’s not worth money is gonna hurt the community as a whole when they stop printing stuff like that.

Doing the prerelease at the guardtower down in Columbus. I'm pretty excited, the art for this set looks beautiful.
the common that's sometimes mixed in with the uncommons is because that's the guaranteed double sided card slot and can be any rarity.
Looking forward so much to this set! Limited enviroment looks great and value is there (at least for now, but even after the prices drop the 10 Praetors should be enough to carry it in the long-term with how much EDH play they will see). Planning to go to 3 prerelease events including a 2HG and ordered half a box of set boosters. For someone like me who plays mostly limited and EDH this set is perfect!
Prerelease is always fun, I will be going this weekend , I participated twice with Phyrexia All Will Be One
After seeing collector boosters draft booster looks underwhelming :-( not so much of the legends rare pulls
That Ren and Realmbreaker is like one of the best pulls you can get from this set if not the best Joey.
Fiery emancipation is the card you are thinking of that triples damage that has gone up lately

It's not that there's a common behind the uncommons, it's that there's a flip card behind the uncommons
Those 3 mythics may as well be commons, there will be so many floating about
You cleary overestimate the number of attendees at prereleases. I saw both Wurmcoil and Sheoldred as prerelease promos (100% guaranteed and at the same time they could be opened in packs) and it did not affect their price. Sheoldred still climbed over other praetors in price and Wurmcoil was one of the best hits from Scars. If any of these Mythics see EDH or eternal play like Staff of the Storyteller their price will skyrocket. Especially the special treatment. Prelease packs don't even make a dent compared to the amount of product opened by LGSes and high spenders. Of course if wizards goes back on their promise and reprints them they will be worthless.
@@MarvelOfRain the 3 mythics that you are guaranteed to get one of in every prerelease pack, not the multiverse legends. Also wurmcoil tanked in europe.

Initial impressions of this set are that this set will be really fun to play in limited, and it's cool to see planes like Tarkir finally getting a showcase frame. Overall this feels like more of a Magic 30th anniversary set than anything else that has come out within the past few months and I can dig that
Casting cost is high but most of the high cost has convoke and a lot of cards do special things when convoked
