Rip has been a guiding light in my training almost 10 years back when I first discovered his "starting strength" program. Thanks to him I was able to cut through the noise that current fitness industry has to offer and always stick to the basics. It is just emotionally hard to see people like him grow old. May he be with us, guiding us for the longest time. Love and respect from India.
yeah dude, juicy juice just makes the strength building journey all that much more fun....just stay far, far away from the almighty Anadrol-50 if you plan to keep your tendons connected to your muscles!
@@tmackn6592 oh yeah there are several less than good ones out. Tren, anadrol, basically all orals (I sometimes use Dbol as a preworkout androgen, but the low back pumps turn me off. Low dose, 15mg max 3x/wk). For me, its test, primo or mast, and some NPP. Thats it. EQ ester is too long, Deca, Tren, and a bunch of others are just too little risk v reward, imo. Anavar being a conditional exception.
Hi Rip im 5'8 105lbs and ive stalled on squatting the 45lb bar. Should i hop on tren or start the texas method? Also i dont want to lose my abs .. thanks
Can’t be separated as a novice. A novice can maximise strength and muscle mass simultaneously. After that you can skew it towards your specific goal but there is no separating them.
@@bludevmike He means unstable surfaces akin to training on a bosu ball, wobble board, balance exercises etc. An ice rink is a stable surface as it doesn’t move, yes its slippery and balancing on ice skates takes skill, but the ice itself is stable.

I will continue to do my 45 pound squats until I’m able to do a 495 single. Because this has been proven in scientifical studies you know.
But you’ve got to do them standing on a therapy ball.
you’ve got to do it standing on your dads bald head who is standing on a goat who is standing on an elaphant standing on a giant circus ball

thank you for inspiring me to become 300 pounds. i hope to reach that weight some day.
I’m 6’. Aiming for 350 😂
Doing functional training and eating mostly vegetables.
Steroids+barbell training=GOAT training.😅

Unless you are Thor the Mountain and ignore the importance of strengthening your connective tissue and gets rewarded with a serious pec tear.
Functional training for most college football players = male sports bra with cardio strap and man bun while playing with ropes or bands….
Hail to Mark Rippetoe, the inventor of progressive overloading. ...maybe even the inventor of resistance training. He's the best ever.
He is also inventor of trolling different coaches
He's the inventor of comments from the haters.
@@VegetoStevieDhello yeah 😂
I’m on TRT and starting strength. Now what’s up?
You will progressively start to look like Mark Rippetoe🤣
@@gibbygordo already do lol
How's your milk intake tho?
what is with the human condition that the answer to our problems is always found in a bottle, substance, liquid or some engineered concoction
Like TRT? Hell yea
@@bryanutility9609 beat me to it.
Because we’ve been successfully engineering answers to our problems for thousands of years. Kinda hard to stop now.
I have noted the professional Crossfit competitors upon retiring loose that muscle pop, maybe from dropping the steroids.

The “T” in teetee stands for testosterone, gentlemen.
Anna what if you don't want to be big, you only want to be strong?
Difficult to separate
You can be strong enough without being fat tho
Lifting heavy frequently in a calorie deficit.

Infrequent workouts. You will get strong without getting big
Thanks for the massive balls, Rip!
How about anabolic steroids + starting strength. I think it might work pretty well.
Are you talking about Bre?
@@JH-dr6do who’s that? Lol
My intermediate program is steroids.
oh yeah, it's worked for countless powerlifters and Olympic lifters since the dawn of heavy weights lifting time

IT’S NOT JUICE!!! It’s a protein shake!
😂😂😂
Steroids allow the lazy athlete to look & feel better with less work! (at the expense of my cardiovascular system & liver. This is fine)
@bryan...when you're older & wiser you'll look back at your comment & cringe.

They do to need to build up hammies. They just wear big knee braces. Problem solved
Thats very clever😂

Has there been a Worlds Strongest Man competor who has followed the Starting Strength method? Honest, no disrespect question.
Monkey still isn’t double masking.

John McCain was a pow in Vietnam, a little respect.
No

Pretty sure an ice hockey rink is an unstable surface.
Thats why they practice skating
You train for a rink by skating. Skating wont make you stronger.
And and how the fuck is a ice hockey unstable?? Its solid fucking ice😂

Knock the CrossFit on the head mate and just get strong.
