Almost unrecognizable hearing his voice crack and break when he shouts that he can stay clean. Heartbreaking.. at that moment I already know it was a "I'm going to prove you all wrong" moment for him there. Also side note.. no hate towards Max AT ALL this beef has been said and done but the irony of him saying that after he went downhill and had his dealer living in his closet is crazy. Some people really just don't know the effect of their words but I am so glad they are both sober and everyone came together again. It makes me really have hope ❤
I listen to his interview when alternative press interviewed him in jail and at the end of the interview he said I'm writing music and lyrics and there's a storm coming and he was not lying about that because his band is Bigger than ever
Easily my favorite band of the scene era!! Killer vocals, top notch songwriting, and actual guitar solos! They had heavy songs, soft songs, and just down right emo night classics! It's incredible to see all the bands that spawned off them, from Carson Allens weird country music, to falling in reverse and Cry Venom, the impact that ETF had is undeniable0
Blessing in disguise for Ronnie. He was the driving force for ETF and he actually learned from his experiences. He is a lyrical/musical genius and is more popular than he ever was
It officially ended years ago when they all made up. Had a bury the hatchet tour and Ronnie is still sober and is #1 in the scene right now and selling out full arenas and super happy.
I don’t care about the cringe, but “Leave me, go where you belong/Higher heels and lipstick napkins, dying is your latest fashion” is a badass lyric and that melody HITS.
Side note- Craig actually was pissed that The Word Alive replaced him without his knowledge. Said he found out second hand through being locked out from the band’s Myspace page and seeing he was replaced through pictures or something. He then released their first EP without their knowledge in a fit of rage. Glad he did too, TWA’s work with Craig is really good. I don’t got the sources, but I remember hearing or reading it a couple times.
I also like the fact that he was true to his words and really did stay clean. Ever since he went to jail he has been sober. Also, him coming back and starting another band which is now even more successful than ETF just shows how fking talented Ronnie is as a musician.
When you flashed the mugshot at "Ronnie's in jail" each time, WITHOUT FAIL I cracked up laughing. It's the little things lol. Your storytelling blows me away, I'm so glad I found your channel, I'm working my way back through the videos. You genuinely care about this era as much as we do!
I remember writing to Ronnie when he was in jail when I was like 16 that was a weird moment in my life but I for some reason still have the letters he replied to. Odd
I went to Warped Tour 07 and got to see both Escape the Fate and Blessthefall before it all the stuff went down. It was magical! Got to meet both bands that day too.
I remember 2 members of my band were super into this feud for whatever reason. Our singer was siding with Ronnie, and our drummer was defending Craig. I was just getting super pissed because we couldn't have a practice without them screaming at each other over some BS feud involving 2 completely different bands that we had no ties to whatsoever. Happy to hear that everyone finally patched things up and are pretty good friends now.
The Cozy Representative: Bringing Myspace era vibe on RUclips, and I hope it will stay for a long time. It makes me feel nostalgic. I can see that you're gonna be the next big "scene" youtuber. I wish you all good luck. I'm leaving this comment here so I can claim that I was here since your "early days of RUclips" in the future.
It’s interesting learning about the history of a band ive loved since I was 11! I actually saw Falling in Reverse, Escape the Fate, and The World Alive perform on their the drug in me is gold tour this past February. It was an amazing concert! Ronnie, Telle, and Craig are great vocalists and performers
Fun fact: craig started the word alive, then when all the other members old pal tele was moving back, they wanted him to be in the singer instead so the kicked craig out of the band he started. I think this happened before craig joined escape the fate. All info i gained from a relatively recent interview.
And by the way The Cozy Representative I love your content I love what you do and I think one day your channel will be a lot bigger in the near future it definitely has that feel to it and you are very good at talking to your audience.
You have done your homework! :) i like it, I started to watch this and was worried it maybe incorrect but i noticed from your side notes you watched the ‘bury the hatchet’ video which i foubd mind blowing when i watched it too. Thank u Good stuff 👍🏼
Don’t forget that Escape the Fate and the Crunkcore artist J Bigga we’re both in the same local Las Vegas scene at the same time. I first heard of Escape the Fate from a J Bigga vlog back in 08. J Bigga went out to a lot of their local shows and was friends with Ronald when he was practically homeless.
Awesome video, and spot on with historical accuracy! Just one minor correction: Craig has since admitted to making up the thing about Ronnie getting caught with heroin in prison. Can't remember what interview it was, but I distinctly remember him saying that.
I’m from Vegas and was in the music scene back in the 2000s. But my band “ Ryu Vs. M. Bison “ was like early early electrocore dance beats with screaming... I remember when escape the fate came out with their first EP I knew they were going to be huge. Really good live. It was like when I was watching the killers play “mr brightside” at skillet cafe in 2003, you could just tell they were going to make it, they were too good
Bro i love the way you do your vids with the in depth conversations about bands. A lot of channels get lazy with it or get the wrong facts. Just stumbled on your channel and gonna check the rest of your vids out and hope to see more vids like this about other bands in the future. Keep up the good work man!
I saw the word alive back in 2009 or so and escape the fate happened to be playing the same venue the next night. ETF was already in town so Craig came on stage and sang with them. It was really cool and a once in a life time kinda deal.
This boy does his damn homework 😳 i love it. I love Ronnie and Paige. They're my favorite couple. ☺ I met ETF in I think 07 or 08 at Cains Ballroom in Tulsa. They opened for BFMV
I guess when Craig was on the road in bless the fall he got robbed , ETF was on the tour also and Ronnie gave him some cash to help him out since Craig got his wallet and laptop stolen and had his daughter to support. Don't quote me, I just remembered reading something like that.
Ironically I recently researched this topic again and I also remember the reason for the fight being that Ronnie was defending Max in a Myspace feud, but I couldn't find ANYTHING referencing it on the internet. On the one hand, I'm glad you also remember it, but I was hoping you had the source haha
can you do from first to last and taking back sunday and pete wentz? your nsn synopsis CHANGED MY LIFE. something u did with the keywords is helping your visibility and so happy to have found u
I remember laughing when I heard this band, (which a friend of mine showed me) because they were so different from all the other bands I was told or I thought at the time were “truly heavy” bands But the more I listened to it the more I realized it WAS heavy and mixed other genres I loved over the years
I saw these dudes when Omar was still in and Ronnie the full original line up if they would have stayed together who knows where they would be right now they had unlimited potential
Talks about blessthefall Plays 'guys like you make us look bad' from ""his last walk" album. My dude. *Edit: The Word Alive with Craig was great. Same with Telle in "In Fear & Faith" and TWA and Ronnie in Falling In Reverse. Craig with ETF in the end. Woo for Pt.2
Okay, but I was at that Warped Tour show in Dallas. I was next to a whole group of teens that were chanting “We want Ronnie back”. There were a few other groups cheering stuff, but that was most prominent because of my spot. I noticed a few other people spread out in the crowd looking uncomfortable, me included.
So glad u came up on my recommended vids. Bro you are going to get HUGE. Great speaker and have a way with connecting us viewers. Eventually you'll make your video quality more professional and get huge! You got a big future brother. Keep it up
Damn I've been a fan of ETF and Ronnie since way back and watching this brings back so many memories. I remember when that video from extreme thing came out but NEVER realized that was Ronnie yelling from the crowd. That's mind blowing to me lol are you positive that's him? Anyway great video as always!
Its a bit messy but i really liked your video dude and the way you spoke its like we are having a chat over a drink and your laying down the facts to me xD
great vid, ready for part 2! idk if anyone else pointed this out but, when talking about btf you said craig formed it, he didnt. jared and the other orginal members formed the band and they found craig through a website (im not sure what one though).
They had everything to become more mainstream like Slipknot but sadly back then they viewed you worse for being a k*ller then today, today people glorify these rappers who will literally convince you they took life’s. I hope they come back together and go harder then ever!
Your literally addictive to watch. No homo. Thanks for all of the nostalgia and covering this stuff because no one else is doing these kind of vids so thank you

Cry Venom is badass. Jacky is such a talented guitarist.
The GREATEST ALBUM of all time.
Think it was more between Max and Ronnie, Craig was just caught in the middle.
I think Craig’s role in Ronnie’s rage was jealousy. While Craig was out there doing his thing, Ronnie was sitting in a jail cell.
@@MakotoKinoSailorJupiter2020no. It was more that Craig talked shit about Ronnie cause of fake news about why Ronnie was in prison.
no he is the gas
Blessing in disguise for Ronnie. He was the driving force for ETF and he actually learned from his experiences. He is a lyrical/musical genius and is more popular than he ever was
Where is part 2? I need it. This story is hell of a fascinating! Wow. How does it end?
Ronny gets out of prison and starts a new more successful band
Salty CowboyFan while also most likely being the reason for half of ETF’s streams on any platform

The way Craig just drags Ronnie through the mud and then they immediately go ripping into their new record is cold as fuck 😂
