  • Fr. Thomas Keating explores the evolutionary process through the lens of the Divine Economy, that part of divine revelation in the Roman Catholic tradition that deals with God’s creation and management of the world. Fr. Thomas touches on all levels of existence, especially the evolution of humanity, our dealing with freedom, and the awareness of our oneness with all creation. He ends this talk by leading the participants into an experience of Centering Prayer.

I’m a student of Fr. Keating’s and over the years have listened to him and others explain Centering Prayer. This was for me the most beautiful explanation. Thank you so very much for posting this video.

John 1 tells us that we are not all ‘children of God’, but to as many who receive Jesus Christ he gave power to become children of God.

Hosea 6:6 reads, “For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.”

But whenever you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees from the hidden place will reward you.
But how shall we then pray? Jesus says pray…our Father…. That is the mind of Christ not some blank thoughtlessness.

So we are part of an evolution of the spirit whose final goal will be the realization that we and God are one. The is keating’s theology. By the way there was no Bing Bang.
