The skin looks pretty good, but idk why they didn't do something to make the hair flow like mk9 when there's other classic skins for characters like scorpion who have a flaming skull. Would have made the skin so much better I feel

Honestly I like MK9 Smoke well enough, and he looks super cool here in MK1, but we need full-on see-through Armageddon Smoke back. That's the best look Smoke has ever had

I don't have the dlc to lab it myself but something came up when I saw all of Noob's combo potential and I think there might be something with using the full Darrius team combo as an ender, I think it's neutral assist, forward assist, then back assist to delete a full bar of meter from the opponent.
Believe it or not, I'm actually learning more about how to play Noob Saibot with Scorpion Kameo from this video than I am watching the Smoke skin. I use Sub Zero with Noob usually because the freeze can allow for good setups and allow for me to use Noob's special "Embrace Chaos" which changes the entire moveset. But with Scorpion as the Kameo, it seems like its really good for juggling air combos and also starting combos from the low blocks that can stop a lot of noobs strings since he really only has two of those.
Smokey needs some help, I want to buy that MK 9 skin but I don’t know how to adapt to his kit and he feels like he’s lacking something. Maybe an escape special for retreating or they can modify his anti air to snag opponents towards you like Scorpion’s spear and his overhead drop to go airborne or pop the opponent up.
While the hair is definitely different from OG MK9 smoke, i still love this skin. Very cool to have. I love Shujinko and i've been pairing him with everyone. So right now im playing Smoke/Shujinko and easily get 41 percent flashy invisible combo.
As a smoke main, I was very happy with this skin. You should try using Stryker with smoke since his grenades got buffed. You can get up to 45% just with one bar and one kameo. It's my new team!
My middle name is Thomas and I have long hair that’s why I mained smoke in mk9 I relate to this man lol (his alternate skin in mk9 was better) but this looks fantastic. Hope they add more mk9 skins best game in the franchise imo.
I dislike the hair they gave him for this outfit. They most likely modeled it based off his mugshot in MK9's character select screen rather than the model he had ingame, so it makes him look like he has a mullet which I think does not fit him at all. The hair he had ingame in MK9 looks way better than this.
Must be a MK9 skin that slipped through from an alternate reality, cause in ours, this ain't it. I'm laughing right now because this seriously looks like a straight up mullet or wig lol. Would loved to have seen an actual accurate representation of his hair from MK9, and to take it up a notch, throw in a nice little animation of his longer hair (give it this really cool smokey/mystical look) would have made it ABSOLUTELY epic! They animated Scorpions burning skull head from Deadly Alliance skin and did an awesome job on that one, just wish they would have done something similar for the MK9 smoke skin. I love how they're bringing back all these nostalgic skins, but lets at least make sure they're done right, accurate, and true to the original (im also talking about not alternating any of the sexyness out of some), otherwise it's highly disappointing to see nostalgia being ruined by how todays devoplers are not staying true to the source material. Crazy times these days to have to say... wishful thinking: Bring back sexy to Mortal Kombat.
I agree his cancels should be easier. I also think his cancels should be less punishable and he should get a better/faster armor move. But I think his pokes and strings are that punishable to compensate for the fact that he can fight while being invisible any time he wants. Having a lot of less punishable pokes and strings while still retaining the ability to go invisible the majority of time would break the character.
@@Grayx7his cancels are easy. You can’t expect everything to be such baby food easy, it takes a little time to get down. If you think that’s hard try the flash’s cancels in injustice mid combos that’s difficult. You can make smokes pokes safe by canceling them but yes I agree he does need a minor buff making his f 12 a mid would be great

If it had the mask he wore in MK9, it wouldve been a 10/10 skin for me. I love mk9 very dearly, so any mk9 skin they put in would be a purchase from me. solid 9/10 skin, needs the mk9 mask.

Never was a huge fan of this Smoke costume. I always rocked his alt back in MK9. It looks cool, tho. His MK1 default looks better.

Smoke needs a buff his pokes are punishable any move you do even the ones where you turn into smoke they will poke you and his cancel should be easier
