I don't think many people realize how brave and amazing Leah is. she did something that 99% of people don't even have the capacity to do. I hope she knows how many of us look up to her. And are so happy for her daughter that she was able to break them free. I truly hope she has the strength to never back down. others will get strength from her.

Leah isn’t a family member that has any right to know about her whereabouts. If someone made contact with Shelley and Shelley said she didn’t want Leah to know where she is, they can’t release that information. Even if Shelley is being brainwashed, the police can’t just make a person leave where they say they are fine and say they don’t want people to know where they are. Leah has no right to know where Shelley is if Shelley doesn’t want her to. Only your family is allowed that information. Leah can’t sue for that information because she has no legal right to it just because she filed the report. They can’t release that information because they don’t know Leah’s intentions and Shelley doesn’t have to let Leah know anything.
An alternate scenario: An abusive ex wants to find me after 10 years. He files a report saying I’m missing just to find out my location and information. I’ve never filed any official reports about his abuse. So, the police locate me and find out I’m just fine. I tell them I don’t want him to know where I am. They decide to still give that information to my ex just because he filed the report and he demanded it claiming he thinks I’m in trouble. Then, he has my information and come to find me and kill me after 10 years. That scenario is why they can’t give out Shelley’s information once they found her and Shelley indicated she didn’t want Leah to know where she is. They have no way of knowing or proving that Shelley is brainwashed. So, an adult person tells them they don’t want this other person who has no relation to them to know where they are, they legally cannot tell Leah. Just because Leah suspects something is wrong doesn’t mean she can get information on people who don’t want it out there. Also, yes, Classified is a law enforcement term you complete imbecile. That’s just the cops way of saying “she’s fine, we made contact and she doesn’t want you to know where she is.”
I can’t believe people actually think any person has the right to find out the location of another person that doesn’t want to be found. Imagine how utterly dangerous that precedent would set. Just because another person claims that person is, or could be, in danger doesn’t make it true and doesn’t give police the right to tell you what you want. You have the right to privacy. Seriously, people need to think this through before jumping on this bandwagon just because of Scientology.
I wish more former Scientologist celebrities would join Leah in raising awareness against the abuses.

I'm sure she was shipped off and then convinced to disappear under threat of legal decimation/reputation assassination. Most of these folks get in so deep that they brainwashed themselves. Even when they escape [with the exception of a few] they are timid even when they speak out cause part of them still thinks the teachings of Scientology are somehow correct. I'd recommend listening to the multi-episode series on L. Ron by Last Podcast on the left to understand how this cult began and how it still operates

I read recently that it's been over 10 Years since anyone has seen Shelly in Public. Which is weird because she was the top guy at the Church of Scientology's assistant and was with him everywhere 24/7.

I honestly don't doubt Shelly Miscavige is dead. More than decade and yet nowhere to be found. How hard can it be to make a simple appearance or present a recent photo of her? It would quell all these damaging rumors in one fell swoop. It's scary that we might never know if she's alive because these people have money, power, influence, and many friends in high places. They really don't have to answer to anyone.

Sadly, the human trafficking thing is perpetrated by some powerful people with mega bucks, and positions of power... Large amounts of money can turn even "decent" law enforcement rogue. Also, as a LEO supporter, they most likely get in a bad situation that could jeopardize their lives or those of their families. I saw some crazy shit in Florida, and I couldn't believe the level of corruption, there's no where to go. Law enforcement gave me strong hints, ( I won't give details, but there was no question in their message to me) that I needed to step away and move on.

You could be right Melanie, but the strange thing is that nobody, and I mean nobody, has reported seeing her anywhere in over ten years! She simply vanished. So if she is in fact holed up somewhere on their spiritual base, she must be kept there under constant guard and have very minimal contact with the other people, and probably none with the outside world. Very sad when you think about unhappy she must be and how bad her life has become.

But at least then police See the person even if they respect that persons wishes not to reveal their location. This is ten times worse but you know that. I found a stack of Scientology books recently. The amount of blank pages in the books is very noticable. They spread 10-20 pages of text into a 50 page book. More books more money.
Even when she’s not talking about Scientology she is just so intriguing to watch & listen too. I think she has more of an “it” factor now as a middle aged woman than she ever.

So I love what Leia has done to bring light about scientology, but that line where she said that it costs money for people to help when talking about needing a lawyer caught me off guard. Since she sounded like it was such as problem for her.
What she meant by that statement is that people won’t help out of genuine concern instead doing good deeds for others is conditional on payment. She is rich money is not a problem for her.
She shouldn't have to get a lawyer to get law enforcement to do their job. Some pieces of a case may be classified but certainly not if someone is alive or not. She was saying it's ridiculous it's come to the point where getting a lawyer to do the equivalent of a welfare check is necessary.
