I appreciate that a Mercedes dealer made this video for DIYers. As someone who has been repairing my own cars since the 70s I wish that you would have included all of the information to complete the service properly. You did not mention the oil capacity. As you know these cars don’t have a dip stick. You also did not mention how to clear the service reminder without a scanner. I’m aware that there are ways to accomplish both through the service screen on the car’s dashboard. I would have appreciated seeing a Mercedes tech doing it. I suspect that you only made this video to discourage the novice from attempting it.
@ekummel Yes, but MB has oil approvals, and M1 comes in many grades- specs. It could be a 0w20 but not any 0w20.. something like a MB 229.51, MB 229.52, MB 229.61, or MB 229.71 approval...
What is the fuel additive you put into the fuel tank towards the end? I don’t find that mentioned anywhere in your description, and the product is blurred in your video. Thanks!
@tonylim9244 Most likely worthless as no additive in the tank is going to remove carbon deposits in a direct injection engine... just use top-tier premium fuel. Sounds like an upsell...

Spilling oil over the fill hole?
Can you please post DIY Service B and C on GLC 300? Very helpful. Thank you.
Was this ever posted or found another vid that shows it?
Well explained and detailed and a huge Thank you. I cant justify the $140 my dealership charges for this
I do my own service, but $140 isn't too bad considering the cost of euro oil these days.
What no top extraction?
$140? That's a bargain! Mine charges me $250 for *JUST* an oil change! Plug $6 for the washer fluid and $15 for the remote battery!
@@jamesmaccari9128 My GLC43 AMG has a sticker that says Mercedes recommends Mobile 1 oil...

Thanks. 2020 GLC 300: Minneapolis, MN. Is the oil spec 5W40 or 5W30, please? I assume 5W30 to be nicer to the turbo? Regards, Bo Andersen
Awesome thank you
What year is this GLC300? 2023?
2029
going by the front view, it is a 2022 or earlier. On the current generation, the headlights connect to the front grill.
Air filter& cabin filter
That's a "B" maintenance.
