A painting fox has a crush on his neighbor. When he tries to hide it his other paintings come to life to try to convince him otherwise.

Nono I just meant that Wall - E has main characters fall in love, no words spoken - there's talking when humans enter but the entire first half of the film no word is spoken. Wallace and Gromits show is still full of talking - it's just that one single character doesn't, assumedly because he's a dog.

I love the constant ear and tail movement, that's so natural for animals, especially more social/playful ones like foxes! Helps them feel real ^^
The way the woman reacts to the portrait is extremely cute, you can just hear her mind say "Awww"

Not one single word in the entire animation. Yet the feelings are palpatable.
Zootopia didn't manage that.

The art style is almost identical to Zootopia's. What the film is about and how it's executed is irrelevant to how the characters are designed.
Jesse P Zootopia is a movie, of course it would have speaking. It's also made for children, if there was no speaking it would be harder for kids to understand. They were saying how the art style looked similar, the story has no relevance to that comment

I'm SOBBING over how cute this was, I especially loved the little painting subjects being a bunch of little pranksters
So the paintings wanted to help him take a step forward to date the one he loved...

Expressions are everything in a short without dialog. These are subtle, and perfect!
How adorable! The models look incredibly soft, too.
I love the subtle detail where the sun, cloud, and tree jumped into the background of the painting. Really clever!

This is and amazing story and it shows you shouldn’t be afraid to tell someone how you fell about them. Also kudos to everyone who work so hard on this because the animation was amazing so smooth and natural! The fur simulation is wonderfully made as well! So Willi and Faustina VERY well done on fur. Thank you so much and I love your work!
Why don't we ever see a full length film with this great animation? This was awesome. I want to see more. I don't know why they don't have any great film animation like this one out in theaters, it's only these animated shorts that get made....we need more quality like this in a full featured film.
