There’s been a rumor that there was a demo recording of 3 songs, including Dawn and Demise along with two other tracks titled Mors and Homo Sum Humani. I have commented on the comment someone left on a live video talking about the demo and it being in their possession, but so far nothing.

I got to see them in 2008. Awesome show. I'm a huge metal head but there's got to be some semblance of melody. Necrophagist, despite the brutal sound, had awesome melodies that I don't think a lot of death tech metal bands succeed at.

I was actually able to watch necrophages to play dawn and demise live in Philadelphia I believe at the electric factory but the electric factory I remember sitting there and literally not blinking for 5 minutes straight knowing how insane this was going to be that I was seeing it live but I knew this band was destined to fail still I can't believe that we never got this album and I hope one day maybe a contract runs out somewhere and we finally get to hear some more necrophages maybe Muhammad will leave it in his will

@@howardrorark i automatically answer this question with Decrepit Birth and Abysmal Dawn but neither are like Necrophagist. DB has a very organic feel to the melodies and is not that fast generally, AD along with Hate are the best with black metal influence but i don't think Hate are underrated as they've been going 30 years and are better known

As a music lover and composer but also an almost last year engineering student, I have to say that it is a great shame that such a talent is being wasted in something so lame as engineering. Sorry, I had to say it.

I dunno, dude. I think it is awesome. The whole hit-and run they did. "Here's 2 albums, we will be back once you have beaten it." Still today, nothing. No once can touch these 2 albums in terms of organized chaos and melodies. The problem is, set them free and have them create 2, 3, 4 more albums. Each release just not quite as good as the first 2. -> It will be disappointing.

Christian did not write 50% of the album, both Muhammed and Christian have multiple times stated that the album was almost completely written by the time Christian joined (very late into the process), and that Christian only wrote one entire solo himself (the second one in Epitaph), and that the rest were either adapted from pre-written ones by Muhammed or just entirely Muhammed's work. Nor did the other members write anything. Muhammad wrote literally the entire album.
This is all easily verifiable too.

*"Hey guys! I wrote ALL the solos that I played in Necro, which are the solo in Stabwound, 2nd one in Stillborn, the ones in Epitaph and Seven, the 2 trade offs with Muhammed in Only Ash and the first solo in Symbiotic. Muhammed was with me when I recorded them and would sometimes suggest changes in the phrasing and stuff if I used to overplay. I don't know why everybody thinks he wrote my solos, we play very different. Probably because he keeps telling in interviews he wrote EVERYTHING on Epitaph, which keeps annoying me. Fact is that I also wrote some of the basslines, for example on Stabwound. People never think Mustaine wrote Friedman's solos for example. I actually can't think of a band where one guitarist writes solos for the other one. If you can't write good leads yourself, you're not supposed to be a lead player in a band, at least that's my opinion."*

@@ammanus356 oh shit, i hadn't heard that about Christian before. but i HAVE heard that about Muhammed quite a few times.. idk what to believe anymore man.. also though, there was a video i saw MANY years ago with Christian tabbing Epitaph songs into Guitar Pro- i want to say this was some sort of "Epitaph Studio Recording Update" or something that they filmed during the writing or recording process, but for the life of me, i can't find a trace of this video anywhere at this point...
