Scarlett Johanson actually tore into the interviewer by saying, "You've got dozens of writers back there and this is best you can do by way of a question?"
The Eisenberg interview was a joke lol. Even if she just met Morgan Freeman on the street she would address him as Mr. Freeman unless yold otherwise by him. That man is old enough to have raised her grandaddy 😂😂
There are 2 others who could appear multiple times as well. Jerry Penacoli who asks Scarlett about her underwear did the same type of thing with Anne Hathaway regarding her Batman catsuit. And Sam Rubin from KTLA has been caught a couple of times woefully under-prepared and just looking bufoonish.
The Jerry Seinfeld one has always annoyed me. People act like he destroyed Larry King. He acted like an egotistical child with his overreaction to a legit question. Never fits ANY of these horrible interviewers lists. It's a bad interview, but was not because of Larry King.
I watched the Samuel L Jackson one live. It was brutal lmao. I could see the pain in Sam Rubin’s eyes when he realized this shit went terribly wrong lmao😂
How could you leave out Harrison Ford? He is famous for his retorts to stupid questions, especially regarding Han Solo. His droll sense of humor and great comebacks go right over the interviewer's head in many cases.
The best questions an interviewer can ask are ones that haven't been asked before, but also explore the public person they already are, or what they do. For example, if I ever interviewed Billy Joel, I'd ask him, "If Piano Man wasn't your signature song, what do you think it would be?" It's related to his music career, doesn't get into his personal life, or question decisions he's made, and it's not something people would know.
I agree. That's a great question. It's open ended enough and it's not heavy or personal. You could use the same sort of questioning line with actors and ask "If you could play any kind of character you haven't played already, who would they be?"
So as someone who used to struggle with drug addiction, but then became a teacher, some of the people who go through absolute hell like RDJ are stronger than most other people. If you can hit rock bottom, and then springboard your way back up to the top within a decade, you've succeeded as long as you don't fall back into bad habits. He had every reason to walk out of the interview. Personally, I would have said something along the lines of "that was in the past, and has no bearing on my life currently. My motivations for making Age of Ultron were to make money and give people an entertaining movie they could spend a couple hours watching." Then I would have let him continue.
I agree with you but addiction and temptation don't go away. RDJ would have to battle temptation daily to not go back to those things. He has been strong to resist but it is a lifelong battle. I hope Marvel got insurance to cover themselves if he fell ever fell off the wagon. Phillip Seymour Hoffman was clean and sober for over twenty years, fell back into it and look how that ended up.

It's clear to anyone with two working brain cells that there is a time and a place to ask someone intensely personal questions about their past, Guru-Murthy's brain cells were clearly out to lunch during that RDJ interview.

Jim Carrey is the one of the most real "celebrities" out there. I'm so glad that almost every generation of actors has at least one among them who calls out all the BS showboating.
I did extra work and Jim is in my top 3 of the most obnoxious and unprofessional actors I encountered. The other two for comparison were Annalynn McCord on 90210 and Ashely Benson on Pretty Little Liars so Jim's onset behavior is like that of a 21 year old girl on a teen TV show, not what you would expect from a man in his 40s.
Eh, I can't say I'm surprised. I feel like he probably hates the fact that he's financially dependent on Hollywood at this point and loathes it at the same time. Makes for a very grumpy old man baby, so it makes sense. But still doesn't give him any excuse to treat others like shit.
I don't know why, but Eisenberg came off, to me at least, as an ass-hat while Jackson made an uncomfortable situation much funnier. Sam Rubin is a long time newsman/reporter and deserves a little guff when he makes mistakes like he did but the young lady who interviewed Eisenberg was clearly inexperienced and nervous and he pretty much eviscerated her. I didn't think it was a good look.
@@shawnuel Eisenberg ruined the Lex Luthor role. Also, 'Now you see me' was once the free movie on an airplane. I preferred to fake sleep, and even thumb through a 10 year old plane magazine, rather than watch that one..
@@shawnuel I agree. If you don't know someone personally, I understand why you'd only refer to them by their surname. Usually, that's a sign of respect. This narrator is talking about how an interviewer shouldn't refer to Morgan Freeman as just "Freeman" when minutes before, the narrator referred to Scarlett Johansson as "Johansson" 😂
So I do wonder why male and female interviewees, especially when it comes to actors, are asked very different line of questions. Mirren and Johanson are two clearly visible examples of this reality.
11:34 This should NOT be in this video. I have hated the Eisenberg toddler ever since I saw that interview. That clip has no place in this video - at all!
Good on Robert, one should not have to sit through such patronizing questions. He's been working hard and moving forward other random strangers digging through that is not okay
She was also a terrible journalist 😂 something tells me it was one of her first interviews and he just read her for filth, either not knowing or not caring that she may be new to it. And if she wasn't new at that time, then she's really just crappy at her job 😂
No. He is RESPECTFUL unlike a lot of people not seeing the problem with calling an adult of the same age as their grandfather by their surname like that. 😂. It's not right. Not seeing how wrong it is for an adult is shocking. I'm assuming you're an adult, over 18 years old at least.
I think the Tom Hardy interview panel question was both worded incorrectly and taken wrong because of the already irritating nature of many journalists questioning his sexuality. He would rightly be annoyed that some people can't differentiate between an actors character and their own personal life. And the journalist sounded a little nervous and may have worded the question differently than what they intended... Considering the framing was asking a single person if he finds it difficult for others to discuss *their* sexuality... he is only one person and can only speak on his own feelings about discussing sexuality with media, which is why Tom replied with " _I_ don't find it difficult for celebrities to talk about _their_ sexuality" and "Are you asking me about _my_ sexuality?"
If they were asking this question to a person who is very open/public about their sexuality it wouldn't be weird but in this case it very much is. I'm sure they meant well but if you ask this question to a person who hasn't expressed anything of the sort, it will just make them feel awkward as it implies that they are comfortable with talking about it. Because why else would you ask them about their thoughts about others' comfort in talking about their sexuality. I'm sure Tom Hardy was just thinking "Why on earth is he asking 'me' about this?".
@@VerySpecialMuffins Exactly my point, yes. It could have been phrased differently or at least given some context from the journalist stating that they are an LGBTQ news source and that is why they would be asking about discussing sexuality in media since his character was a gay man in the movie. The fact it came so far from left field and seemed more to do with _his_ personal sexuality is what would be frustrating as an actor to hear over and over again.
Oh wow. I literally just watched the WatchMojo UK video that had the RDJ interview. 1:21 This video says it was supposed to be a Puff piece and the interviewer went off script where as the WM-UK pointed out that this show is known for hard hitting journalism and that all the questions had been cleared by RDJ's team... but presumably no one mentioned that to Robert.
Since you asked if we've ever met any of the celebrities, I saw Jonah Hill at a grocery store in Los Angeles last year. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Jerry Seinfeld's response was pathetically arrogant, in my opinion. King was giving him a moment to clear the air about a rumor, and he used it to measure his penis.

Idk why Jesse Eisenberg got so triggered because the interviewer said "Freeman", like it was a bit strange but not disrespectful, it's not like she's just naming his first name and even then his responses would have been very odd imo.
It's disrespectful. Very much so. Think of the age difference between the girl and Morgan Freeman. It's absolutely weird and DISRESPECTFUL for her to just refer as Freeman. Jeezuz, how are you not getting it?

I really don’t understand why interviewers would ask such irrelevant questions. I want to know about the album or whatever they’re talking about not “do you wear underwear under that tight as outfit” 😑🙄
Tom Hardy should have asked if the interviewer was gay and asked if he was interested in him. That usually stops the sexuality questions altogether. If not and the interviewer said yes then all he had to say was "you're not my type"
Yes, but the difference is that's her talking about herself and her own life in those songs, whether fantasy or not... not a stranger talking about her as if she knows her or assuming the kind of person she is based on media. At least that's how I see it. "Mind your business and stay in your own lane" is the best advice.
im not gonna ask are you stupid because the answer is clearly YES. every singer/songwriter writes about their love life. and there is a BIG difference between writing and song and being asked invasion questions. you should not need to be told that.
One of my favorites (missing here) is an MTV interview with the late Martin Landau at the premiere of "Mission: Impossible". The young reporter asked the actor WHY he was there and Landau stated that he was in the OG TV series, followed by a terse "you really should do some research, honey". LOL!!
To be fair to the guy interviewing Anne Hathaway. The question about diet, exercise and getting into shape is asked to almost every single actor stepping into a super hero role.
The Larry King interview Jerry Seinfeld just didn't listen and understand the question Larry was actually making the point that he walked away from the show and was not cancelled He had the number one show on TV and had been offered a huge amount of money for a tenth season
Most of them were completely right, but some of them are acting like spoiled brats. You can't hold it against an interviewer asking a (respectful) question that you've been asked a lot : they're just doing their job and can't reuse footage from other channels.
Where's Mike Tyson tearing into the CP25 Toronto interviewer who asked about his rape case when he was just promoting his one man show? I still watch that one just for the chuckles alone.
I thought the context of the Jim Carey interview started out that way because the interviewer asked something about having a date to the event and it was well known that his partner at the time had just committed suicide and her family was coming after him for a wrongful death lawsuit. So the comment was in bad taste by the interviewer and he was just responding in kind.
@dem96 It was a similar list but they changed it up a bit. People dont get the Jim Carrey reference they think he’s nuts. But I totally got it. She asked about icons and he did an impression of James Brown. Huge icon.
Guru-Murthy is an ass. He likes to stir the pot but doesn't actually ask any insightful questions that might produce a great response. He just wants to hit people below the belt and plays confused when they don't respond nicely.
If I ever have a talk show I’ll give people the interview questions beforehand like I do when I do my 80’s interviews, I give them the questions beforehand.
I have never really liked Jesse Eisenberg. I’ve seen other interviews with him and I don’t much like his acting but this interview in which he humiliates the young woman was totally unnecessary and IMO just a power play on his part.
Men or women journalists, interviewers should be fired on the spot when choosing to ask ridiculous, sexists, and/or offensive questions or topics instead of staying on the topic they were supposed to.
Joaquin phoenix acted like a d...head. Interviewers dont have to ask interesting questions. Its not like the guy asks the same question in the same interview.
Tom hardy handled this well. They asked me about my sexuality in school and I walked off without a word cuz i thought it was inappropriate. Right on Tom 😇
Interviews are part of the job for celebrities. So Imagine if at your work place HR department ask you « oh my gosh your so sexy! What are you eating ? Are you wearing any underpants ? ». So unprofessional and a lack of intellectual curiosity.
Dear Lord, how many iterations of the same list can you guys do over and over again? Maybe you don’t have to post multiple times a day? Because honestly, it just feels like it’s more about revenue than quality content at this point.
This reminds me of the night that Don Rickles and Groucho Marx were on a Dean Martin roast together. I did not notice myself but my Dad pointed out that Rickles took cuts at everyone on the panel except Groucho. Even Rickles did not want to exchange insults with the man who invented that. To attack Hanoi Jane was the least of the idiocy of some of these people. Who would be dumb enough to exchange adlibs with Jim Carey. Maybe they should take on Robin Williams or Jonathan Winters next. I saw Winters destroy Jack Parr once and Parr was an expert.

In writing it might not sound disrespectful, but when you hear a girl that young say it out loud like that it's not right.
@@mythoughtsxcttheexempt2112
Respect is earned not given. She doesn't know him personally.
@@mythoughtsxcttheexempt2112 what in the world are you talking about. It doesn't even look like she did it on purpose or meant to be disrespectful (which she wasn't). Moron lmao
I'm a violent person just because of Tarantino’s violent movies.
17:57 Jim Carrey be like “I’m depressed so I’m gonna make everyone around me depressed so I feel better about myself”
3:10 “which is a total violation of Tay-Tay’s privacy!”
-proceeds to makes millions of dollars for writing songs about her relationships
Yes, but the difference is that's her talking about herself and her own life in those songs, whether fantasy or not... not a stranger talking about her as if she knows her or assuming the kind of person she is based on media.
At least that's how I see it.
"Mind your business and stay in your own lane" is the best advice.
I don't think someone writing songs based on their own life means they want to be asked super personal questions by random interviewers.
im not gonna ask are you stupid because the answer is clearly YES. every singer/songwriter writes about their love life.
and there is a BIG difference between writing and song and being asked invasion questions.
you should not need to be told that.
One of my favorites (missing here) is an MTV interview with the late Martin Landau at the premiere of "Mission: Impossible". The young reporter asked the actor WHY he was there and Landau stated that he was in the OG TV series, followed by a terse "you really should do some research, honey". LOL!!
Surprised the Rashida Jones interview during the SAG Awards didn't list where the interviewer was telling the biracial woman that she looked tanned.
It's disgusting that interviewers treat movie stars like objects instead of human.
It's utterly ridiculous that that so called professionals do this.
9:56 good attitude, good posture and take good care of myself. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Good for them for clapping back to these jerks
Quentin Tarantino has the best respond ever
I like the shade of saying “The short-lived show Meghan Kelly Today.”
The Jesse Eisenberg one was a big joke, staged awkwardness. Shoulda changed him with Bill Burr.
Couldn't help but notice that some of these interviewers had repeat appearances in this one.
To be fair to the guy interviewing Anne Hathaway. The question about diet, exercise and getting into shape is asked to almost every single actor stepping into a super hero role.
Same genius asked ScarJo if she wore panties under her Black Widow suit. I don’t think his brand of Hollywood sexism can or should be defended.
"They can't all be Barbara Walters?" Are we forgetting her nonsense like the dismal dolly Parton interview? Lol please...
I’ll look that up
Also I often say Seinfelds friend married Britney Spears!
@@tiananesbitt7156 lol, I had to look that up but yeah. I remember now. Thats funny!
The Larry King interview Jerry Seinfeld just didn't listen and understand the question Larry was actually making the point that he walked away from the show and was not cancelled He had the number one show on TV and had been offered a huge amount of money for a tenth season
didnt we have this list before?
Most of them were completely right, but some of them are acting like spoiled brats. You can't hold it against an interviewer asking a (respectful) question that you've been asked a lot : they're just doing their job and can't reuse footage from other channels.
Savage craziness
I hope "Larry, I'm on DuckTales" is on this list 😂
14:08...
*WE* Were *ALL* "Smitten" with Hathaway, After Seeing Her "Straddle" TheBatPod!😍
Reporters who ask sexist or racist questions should be fired. Their companies should have at least some standards for professional conduct.
Where's Mike Tyson tearing into the CP25 Toronto interviewer who asked about his rape case when he was just promoting his one man show? I still watch that one just for the chuckles alone.
why would anyone ask people these questions geez.
Damn :/
Just waiting to see if the Scarlett Johansson under wear bit was in here. And this guy is a "reporter"?
He's definitely only hired to boost views with viral clips like these 😂
He's an instigator for sure
Didn’t mojo already did this list before.
Yup
Nope they have done this list, but they didn't do it
@@LoganScottY oh ok
@dem96 It was a similar list but they changed it up a bit.
People dont get the Jim Carrey reference they think he’s nuts. But I totally got it. She asked about icons and he did an impression of James Brown. Huge icon.
Didn't they do this video before?
The interviewer for Downey and Terentino should just quit
Guru-Murthy is an ass. He likes to stir the pot but doesn't actually ask any insightful questions that might produce a great response. He just wants to hit people below the belt and plays confused when they don't respond nicely.
Like you met Spiderman and his friend, lol
Cool our local news made the list
Was that the Cara Delevigne one? 😂
Basically, "wah, wah, wah, sexism, wah, wah..."
Jim Carey was once a happy young man.
All the great comedians are usually incredibly depressed. Except Will Farrell lol he prides himself on just being a happy goofy bastard lol.
#13 LMAOOOOOOOO
WELL DESERVED!
Joaquin phoenix acted like a d...head. Interviewers dont have to ask interesting questions. Its not like the guy asks the same question in the same interview.
21:00...
Hansome-Bob!😜
Why is it always the same interviewers making disgusting remarks? They shouldn't keep being given these opportunities.
Legend is the definition
Listen to Matt Damon talk to that reporter is actually so attractive. I was not expecting his vocabulary.
It's the eyebrows that make her look that way, Cara.
Ugh, can you pay to have the ads have better timing?
Dear Lord, how many iterations of the same list can you guys do over and over again? Maybe you don’t have to post multiple times a day? Because honestly, it just feels like it’s more about revenue than quality content at this point.
It’s watch mojo all they do is google top 10 lists and make a video about it. Nothing original with this channel
Mike Tyson could have this whole list to himself.
The shade henny 🫖
The Tyson interview was a honorable mention
I am pretty sure WatchMojo doesn't care who I have met irl
This reminds me of the night that Don Rickles and Groucho Marx were on a Dean Martin roast together. I did not notice myself but my Dad pointed out that Rickles took cuts at everyone on the panel except Groucho. Even Rickles did not want to exchange insults with the man who invented that. To attack Hanoi Jane was the least of the idiocy of some of these people. Who would be dumb enough to exchange adlibs with Jim Carey. Maybe they should take on Robin Williams or Jonathan Winters next. I saw Winters destroy Jack Parr once and Parr was an expert.
Tommy Lee Jones should at least get an honourable mention on this list. A glimpse of any interview from his catalogue would suffice.
Although that was a bit creepy, men get asked how they got in shape for roles all the time.
In fairness, Arianna Grande doesn't write her own songs so she'd probably not have a ton to say to that question.
I think this would have been better without so much narration over the interviews themselves - just let them play out and have us see the reactions
