I don’t even know how many times i’ve explained this, but i’m going to say it again for the sake of knowledge. Mastered Ultra Instinct and Hyper Sonic are two different entities. You’re probably thinking this is hyper sonic because of the base color in fan-made renders. Those renders show him off as white with a few rainbow colors around him. Mastered Ultra Instinct is only white. Now you know.
Obviously? Why would I mix the two up? The joke was about the similarity _in the thumbnail._ If I know what hyper sonic is it would be dumb of me to forget how he flashes colors in game (though a lot of fan renditions back in the day would stick with silver/white because the flash could understandably get annoying in animations). Though I could argue the concept is about as silly as specifying the difference between Super Sonic and a Super Saiyan Sonic mod. One is already a counterpart to the other. It would be a lot more on the nose to make a Hyper Sonic mod that functioned like Ultra Instinct, to make a joke about the irony of Sega doing something vaguely similar in appearance long ago.

I don’t believe it’s a copyright issue since it was made before. I believe it’s just them not being able to set there story straight anymore, or they just forgot about it?

Now you should be able to find more special stages for super emeralds, and then Hyper Sonic, Super Tails (couldn’t go super before) and Hyper Knuckles can be used, depending on who is being played in the game. That's never been the case. The Chaos Emeralds have positive and negative energy. That's it. There is no 'neutral'.
