How could you miss “Cafe Shillong” one of the first modern cafés in Shillong. They have been there before since before 2010 at least. Live music on Wednesdays, if I remember correctly. Free to jam for the music lovers.
You get the old authentic Shillong style noodles there. Their burgers and momos are delicious. No one can beat their food.
Looks like you have not been guided by any locals. Or they don’t really have great taste.
If you are still in Shillong, don’t miss the Laitumkhrah Rd, also called Don Bosco road. Lots of restaurants on that road. Naga, Manipuri and Khasi other than the common fare.
One of the best Chinese is “Déjà Vu”. Or you could try “Hong Kong” as well, which is one of the oldest.

Definitely not on time but next time 'Munchies, Shillong' e jeyo. They have the best Juicy Lucy and special burgers I've had. It used to be my staple when I was in guwahati, would go to shillong just for the Juicy Lucy burger in misty cold weather. Minimal ingredients, Top taste!
