    I just bought a blue one today and have been scanning RUclips for tips on how to use it. Having never used an air fryer before I didn't have a clue and the booklet that comes with it is full of what not to do but doesn't tell me exactly what to do, then I found your very impressive video and now I'm so happy with my choice. I wasn’t aware that you were ACTUALLY cooking full recipes in the course of making this review! So I got a thorough review along with several easy recipes proven down for me. Since I just ordered the oven about 30 minutes ago (it’s on sale for $169), I will definitely be returning to this video again and again. Thank you VERY much . Just got one and this was by far the best review out there (thank you for showing all the settings). Is there a benefit to the roasting setting versus the air fry setting for a whole chicken?
    Also here's a tip. If you stack the wire rack onto the bake pan, they both fit together on the lower level. The rack suspends the chicken from the juices and then pulling the chicken out to flip is less scary haha.

    • @renegadeeats
      @renegadeeats  10 месяцев назад

      Oh thats a good tip! Do I pull just the wire rack out when it’s finished or both the pan and rack at the same time?
      For the roasting function I’m going to guess both the top and bottom burners are continuously on so this applies more direct heat on the food. So making cooking something big like a whole chicken more effective. I’m sure you can use the air fry method too but might take way longer.

    I have mine on an Ikea workstation and the lid folds out flat for me, so no issues there. Also the handle is ideal if you have disabilities making it ergonomically friendly to my joints. I have the OurPlace silicone hot grips, avoiding burns. The ‘cons’ are easily overcome.
    As I’m 100% plant based all the other issues don’t impact me. Like you I’m a last minute eater, my ADHD brain gets so lost in other things I nearly always forget to eat and like you I get to the point of being so hungry I need something quick, this little oven is ideal for us 11th hour eaters.

      No. I wait until it cools off and then wipe it down with soapy sponge right away. No problem at all. You don't want spattered oil to "set" on the insides. So, I clean it while it is just on the cool side. Easy peasy.

    I bought the blue one as a Christmas present for myself. The only Con I have is that if you turn the timer on, you cannot turn it off until it naturally does so. So far I am guessing about the times I need for certain functions. But if I take the food out earlier than the time set, the timer knob cannot be turned to "off."
    Otherwise, I love it. I am one of those who hates heating up my big kitchen oven just to bake a potato or two. So, often I refrain from cooking and buy something at take out at a restaurant. That can get to be expensive.
    I bought this because I am single. I love to cook and want to get back into trying many of the amazing recipes I see here on YT. I used the installment payment method with Klarna. So, it is half paid for so far. Love it.

      The manual says it’s a 1400 watts oven. So if you’re looking to convert that into KWh it’s about 1.4 KWh if you’re running it for 1 hour a day. So pretty energy efficient compared to big ovens.

    how do you know that its preheated? does it beep?

      Unfortunately you never really know when it’s done preheating. I wish it dinged or something when you reached the desired temperature. Although, it only does take the 3 minutes to reach 375 so not too bad.

      @@royalfamily3076 no it doesn’t look like stainless steel. More like some sort of aluminum.

    ok... i watched a few reviews and am a portable oven freak - soooooo when you are making the toast - for even toasting you do not put the bake pan under the rack = your crumb catcher slides under the bottom element giving you even heat from top and bottom hence the even-ness of the toast - I will have to say dry ribs done in air=fry mode at 450 was the best dry ribs ever in 15 min - even beat my wolf BUT you need to add the water as the dry ribs were really dry
