  • Starlight Drive In is one of my favorite settlements so I was happy to see that it was the most voted choice in the recent poll. I had a bunch of fun working on this one and I think it turned out great, but I really want to hear your opinions! How could I improve my builds or videos?
Thanks for Watching! Hope you subscribe to join us on this journey, and help decide where I should restore next! It's been a super fun time so far and I can't wait to do some more fun settlements like this one!

This is awesome. Its really cool to see someone fully engage and take advantage with the building systems. I really like the settlement building system and thought it was one of the best parts of F4.

Thank you!! I agree, FO4 building is a lot of fun, it’s definitely the best part of the game in my opinion.

Enjoying your videos... checked your mod list for whatever it is you use to view the settlement from high up! I didn't see anything there...

Instead of adding more objects by using grass mounds to cover floating light poles. Just use the option in place everywhere (I assume you are using that) to turn ground collision off then you can just lower the pole until it meats the ground or sink it in just slightly. I believe it is F2. Save you on item count.

I just use the pillar glitch and sink them slightly

@@geo8x6 Yeah on console your only choice is that. If you are on PC there is no reason to not use place anywhere.

Great looking build. Thanks for showing it. I guess I missed how you reset that one collapsed wing in the projection building. I'll have to go back

Thanks! And it happens around 5:10, it’s a one click restore for the building using the “rebuild collection” mod

Good build job! Very impressive. I also appreciate that you built a working bathroom too. I always thought it very odd to see a Drive-In with no public washrooms available. (ditto with Red Rocket). In my own modded build I actually built two large bathroom/ communal shower areas for my settlers. One on the east side, the other on the west side. (When you get older, bathroom access becomes a priority). I think you came up with a good plan to cover up the irradiated pond area. In mine, I used Jenn Cave's Clean and Simple Mod which moves the pond to the side of the parking area. In one of my previous play throughs I've used mods which completely eliminated all the eye sore buildings and Screen. But I now don't think that's the wisest way to deal with this location.
BTW don't you think its very strange that there were any cars at all at Starlight given that the Bomb had dropped on a Saturday morning when there normally shouldn't be any cars there?

Hahah I never thought about that with the cars! You’re right it wouldn’t make any sense to be there at that time. And I hadn’t realized until this play through how many locations are missing bathrooms, but it’s pretty funny. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!

I seem to go back and forth when I do builds on whether I want to have a run where I rebuild things and use pre war version of stuff and try to make things NOT look busted up and post apoc. And then I have urges to make the scrappiest dilapidated junky builds. This game is just so great. Your Starlight build is awesome.
I would have been terrified to scrap as much as you did.
Last time I did that much with scrap everything I made my game WAY too unstable because I broke all of the precombines by scrapping stuff you shouldn't scrap.
It's tough because I LOVE scrap everything but my latest run has been the most stable I have ever played because I disabled S.E.

Thanks! Yeah it crashes occasionally but I’m pretty surprised at how smooth it’s all been going so far

Hey, just out of curiosity (when it's finished obviously) do you think the Fallout Who mod would work on this save, fantastic work btw!

Hmm I’m not sure about this one, I looked over the mod and it seems like it is best with new play throughs. I would try using it at the start of your game
