Also, if you just grab the legs of the staples with a pair of pliers and wiggle they snap off flush or just under the surface so no snagging ;)

If you heat set those staples and then give them a slight twist, it increases the strength of the stitch.

Fixed many a broken propeller with CA glue and baking soda, top stuff. Graphite powder cures CA too.

      So does cinnamon, oddly enough.
I’ve made guitar nuts out of CA glue and graphite powder before.

Plastic welding guns are amazing. I bought one last year when I was restoring the interior on my ‘94 K1500: reinforced the dash and several interior panels like a charm!

Great video i was wondering have you ever thought about doing a flash bang video? I wonder how would you make it would be really interesting to see

Sorry I hadn’t responded sooner. Civilian flashbangs are tough because although some commercially available ones are ATF exempt, all the means that I can think of right now (with my present understanding of federal law) aren’t legal. I know there is a legal way to do it, I’ve just got to figure that out. I am doing an Enola Gaye simulation grenade dissection soon, possibly after a mosquito smoke 💨 video.

I’ve been using baking soda for decades to activate CA. Interestingly, I think it’s more of a mechanical catalyst, which acts as seed particles for the CA to polymerize, because I have tried using other powdered substances such as powdered coffee creamer (strange, I know, but I had limited resources at the time) and it seemed to work the same.

      Try cinnamon.
It’ll make CA glue set up instantaneously, but it does get pretty hot.

I know CA cures from moisture, could it be possible that the hygroscopic baking soda just has a bit of moisture in it? Would be cool to see a comparison between really dry baking soda and some thats been sitting in a fridge for a month.

To keep it in place while he placed the hot staples. Also to seal it.

Is that staple being set in the middle of the plastic cross sectional area?
