aww its not dumb at all, I got emotional watching her get emotional haha.Harry Potter hs such an emotional connection for so many people, including me - and its a beautiful and inspiring thing that a book series inspired a love for reading and imagination in so many people.
I'm from Edinburgh and it was great to see your love for our wee country. You got the proper experience too with the wind and rain up north 😄 "Haste ye back"!
Fond memories of the viaduct and climbing up the Bonnie prince Charlie monument near by hoping to return at some time (Sadly those were just plain old Aberdeen Angus cattle) warning the bays at the side of narrow roads are for allowing oncoming vehicles to pass safely unless there's a blue sign with a P on it you can be fined for parking there
Seeing/riding the Jacobite steam train and seeing the Glenfinnan viaduct is one thing I regret that I missed out on when I was there. I love that you got emotional while watching it. It reminded me of my wife getting emotional when we visited st Giles cathedral in Edinburgh. Edinburgh is much better and much less crowded in may/june. But I admit seeing the fringe would have been nice
Always great to see the 🏰 ! 😉 My nephew was married there, in St Margaret's Chapel, the uppermost building in the castle. He's a Colour-Sergeant, in the Royal Highland Regiment, which allows him access to the castle chapel, as it's essentially, an operational Army Barracks! 😲
At 12.14 mins when i was a wee lad i used to stay with my Aunties and Uncle in a house in that Street in the early 40's , loved staying with them this video brings back lovely memories of my childhood. Duncan Pitkeathly .
Hi, Duncan! Wow, we are so happy that our video brought back those lovely memories for you! We loved Edinburgh very much. And what an incredible street that is! THANK YOU so much for watching! -Ashley
Such a beautiful country (those fuzzy cows are adorable). Edinburgh has so much to see. Guessing you may not have made it out to Rosslyn Chapel. Perhaps next time. A must do for any interested in Templar legends.
Isn't it though?! We need to get back to Edinburgh soon because we just did not have enough time. We loved everything about it! There is still too much left to be seen! -Ashley
thank you for the visit, our area is under covid restrictions at the minute so is the only way to get out and about the. the hairy cow you will find it on a high road staring at you until it allows you past.
Lovely video, looks like a great trip. I'm from the UK, so not far away at all, but we haven't spent that much time in Scotland. I'd love to explore it some more, it looks so beautiful and rugged. :)
I just discovered your channel this afternoon and I am already obsessed! This was the first video of yalls that I watched and I cant wait to binge watch your entire channel! My husband and I are from Oklahoma City (Boomer Sooner) and also love to travel! We cant wait to get some inspo from your videos!
Really cool and it brings back a lot of memories, I've been to Glenfinian to see the train go past I went up to the signal rock behind the visitor centre to see it, a slightly different route, the rock is where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his banner hence "Signal Rock", Edinburgh is very Harry Potterish, kinda going a full circle for me as I visited Harry Potter Hogmeade and Diagon Alley in Florida Universal park and the film studio in Warwick where they filmed it, I hope you have been able to visit as its well worth it book the studio tour well in advance if you haven't been yet, places go quickly ! Loved your vids Ta ! 👍
Been enjoying the videos all afternoon, I've travelled to many of the same places myself so brought back some memories - though, I hat to tell you... they weren't Highland Coos you stopped to look at the first time -the "Highland Coos" are (mainly) a reddish brown colour, have large horns and shaggy hair over their forehead... you just saw normal cows (Angus I think), probably with a bit of thicker hair due to the cold. These are Highland Coos... ://ruclips.net/video/6R0saJ4WZug/видео.html Funnily enough, when I was in Scotland we didn't see any either, it wasn't until we got to down to the Cotswolds that we did, we pulled over for some photos too, they are huge. At least you got to see some in the end!
Haha, we weren’t sure if those were Highland Coos! They didn’t look like the pictures and we were so confused where they all were. Still convinced they’re unicorns in Scotland! Glad our videos brought back some good memories!
It was a great video tour. I hope someday I will be there at your place :(. Hope to be one of your companion when I go there.. God Bless ahead. Stay safe :)
Ironic that you mention at 1 point thinking that Highland Cattle are as rare as unicorns to find, as the unicorn is actually the National Animal of Scotland- I'm serious, you can look it up.
When you were in Glencoe you'd have passed the place where part of the Bond movie 'Skyfall' was shot. files.list.co.uk/images/2015/08/14/skyfall-glencoe-LST177332.jpg Glad you enjoyed your wee visit. Haste ye back!
just an fyi, those were not highland cows. look for brown, shaggy and horns. we saw them all over the place, so not sure why you couldn’t find any. maybe next time.
Loved the vlogs guys. Your calm presenting style is a rarity on here. Good job. 👍 On a side note, imagine if Harry Potter was written by a Scottish woman and England tried to turn it into an English thing; the Scots would be fuming! 😂 She may have gone there to write the latter books, or even most of them, but she's English, and it was born in England. I don't really care honestly, but I just know what Scotland's reaction would be if we stole one of their biggest exports and tried to sell it as our own, lol. Hoping you'll come back to the UK once everything has returned to something close to normal. 🤞
I've just discovered your videos of your journey through the UK and have watched quite a few, while I've enjoyed them there's been a running theme, nae complaints of how tourist destinations are too crowded, that's because they're tourist destinations, the clue is in the title, talk about stating the obvious, its like telling us that the visit to an erupting volcano is hot, other than that enjoyed them, just being honest ya know😁👍

Donna Jean ☺️ aww, glad you are enjoying them! Thank you for watching!
I think that "little fifth grader" would be very proud of you getting her there. Kudos. Xx

Great content!!! make sure you come back in the summers when its not raining so much.
Thank you! We hope to visit again when the weather is sunny and not so wet. Either way, we'll still enjoy it!
That forest is immaculate!

The Harry Potter bridge was so cool! The 5th grader Ashley would most certainly be proud of you :)
I think so too ☺️
It was a great video tour. I hope someday I will be there at your place :(. Hope to be one of your companion when I go there.. God Bless ahead. Stay safe :)
boy the Harry Potter guy must have had 500 cups of tea !!!!
Hah! No kidding 😂
A RUclips channel for trainspotters!!
I think it's funny that you mentioned Unicorns. The national animal of Scotland is a Unicorn. You should have checked out Roslyn chapel also
Really?! We had no idea 😆 🦄. We will have to add that to the list for next time!
Those black cows were Aberdeen Angus not highland cattle.
Ironic that you mention at 1 point thinking that Highland Cattle are as rare as unicorns to find, as the unicorn is actually the National Animal of Scotland- I'm serious, you can look it up.
Haha, that is ironic! Thanks for the fun fact!
It’s not dumb!

You are pumped, what does that mean, your legs are pumped from walking or what ?

She looks like Ellen Page a little
*Elliot Page. Yep, I get that often! ☺️
shame that harry potter seems to be the big draw in Edinburgh rather than real history.
Both are a big draw! I wouldn’t say real history isn’t though. 🏴
