  • Cleaning snow, digging, loading, transporting, and possibly many other types of work - doesn't matter, the loader is an indispensable assistant.
    It's a very interesting project, but the most difficult one I've done. Will I succeed? We'll see ;-)

The carcinogens released while welding is incredible specially when using recycled materials so you are burning off paints and other things. I was actually planning to build one of these myself soon except I was going to use two wheel motors plumbed in series per side instead of chain drive.
    I do like the chalk/ kerosene trick though. That’ll be useful.

    • @35manning
      @35manning Год назад

      A lot more to go wrong with dual motors PLUS you may have issues you didn't think of.
      For example, if both wheels are in equal contact with the ground, the fluid will apply equal torque to both motors, but if one wheel lifts off the ground, all the torque gets sent to the other motor.
      Maybe do a small scale test of it first before committing.

    • @stevenbeach748
      @stevenbeach748 Год назад

      @@35manning I don't know. I think there's alot less to go wrong duel hydraulic motors. Hydraulic motors need almost no maintenance or adjustment ever. They're very heavy duty and can handle it. Chains are the exact opposite. I will admit that if something goes wrong, the hydros are more expensive to fix.
      As far as the torque thing goes, the motors are in series, meaning the fluid can't flow freely so if one of the tires is off the ground, it doesn't matter. This isn't a differential.

    • @35manning
      @35manning Год назад

      @@stevenbeach748 if they are more reliable with no problems, why don't major manufacturers all do it?
      I'm not saying you're wrong (or right), just that it will be expensive IF you make a mistake so take your time in planning and researching.
      I'm just trying to consider what problems may occur so that they can be accounted / planned for.

    • @stevenbeach748
      @stevenbeach748 Год назад

      @@35manning its cheaper to do it with chains. There's an oil bath and a bunch of seals to deal with though when building one the way the manufacturers do it.

    oh my gosh I''ve watched a lot of metal working videos of guys doing fabrication work, very nice to see a women doing this work. I've got 2 daughters who are 7 & 8 and they are already saying certain things are for boys. Society really does teach kids at a young age what girls should do. I try my best to remind them they can do anything!

    You're like an entire factory in one person. Also, I'm super jealous of all your fancy tools. That laser cutter looks awesome.

    Hi Lucia,
    I just wanted to say thank you for posting your work. Anyone could look at you and say, "Wow, you could be a model!" but I'm so glad you took a not so common route. I live in South Korea, where lookism is crazy, and gender roles are still back in the 1950's. I'm always looking for women doing non-traditional "women" things (I cringe even writing that) that my girls can look up to and realize they can be more than just "beautiful princesses". I wish we lived closer so they could meet you in person, but I guess the videos will have to do.
    Thank you for being an inspiration.
