I work as a 911 operator, and the BEST thing to do if you accidentally call 911 is to call back and say "hey my phone just accidentally called 911 but there is no emergency!". I don't even work for a large city and we get probably 100+ 911 accidental calls. I can only imagine how much their call centers get. You won't be in trouble and in fact it's saves the operator from having to treat each and every call like a legitimate emergency. Also DO NOT IMMEDIATELY hang up l, you you see your phone is dialing then we've already seen it. 911 IMMEDIATELY gets send to us so even if you think you hung up fast enough, you didn't!!! Just please stay on the line and let us know. Again there is no penalty and it's not considered 911 abuse to accidentally call. We just want to make sure you're safe and save our resources for actual emergencies! (Lol end my soap box rant, I'm just trying to look out for my Florida peeps haha)
My kids accidently called 911 when they were little and hung up as they were afraid and didn't tellus. Minutes later, the police arrived to make sure everything was good. It happens unfortunately
@@lou4057 When I was a kid, my little brother asked for his friends phone number (which he thought I knew), but to mess with him, I told him slowly to type "9.... 1........ 1." Took him like 3 seconds to realize it before hanging up. 🤣 Of course, a few minutes later, cops came and had to search the house.
I was prone to headaches after Rock N Rollercoaster too. I found a trick that helps me...as soon you get seated and the restraint check is finished, push your feet into the floor with as much pressure as you can and push your head as hard as you can into the back of the seat. This helps keep your head from knocking all over the place. If you try this method after the launch though, it is too late, you have to do it before the launch.
I can personally vouch for photopass cast members- and not just because they take phostos with my instant camera! During my first Animal Kingdom trip, when I started to panic because I got separated from my group(Autism + severe anxiety), I asked for help. WHile the DVC person I asked didn't do much beyond offer to call my friend, the photopass person went above and beyond. Brought me to a curb behind a drink cart where I could sit down(The drink cart CM even gave me a tiny water bottle to drink for free!) and since my friend had my phone and I didn't know their number off the top of my head, they called *my* phone instead a few times to contact my friend who was holding onto it while I was on a ride, while the drink cart CM talked to me and tried to calm me down through conversation in between customers. They truly went above and beyond and I'm so upset my memory for names is so awful because they both deserved praise.
Been in several circumstances in which “emergencies” happened and cast members (whom we love!) were not clear or were simply unprepared. One was an earthquake in DL (just before fireworks) and while the CMs were on it, they were not super helpful directing folks out. The other was a recent Indie breakdown (DL) which stuck us in a boring corner for a half hour, but when a CM ran through I had no idea what he was saying. Was once evacuated from BTM (DL) and v confused in the rain, slippery steps, and being in charge of 3 kids. Still, on all of those we landed safely in the end. Point is, anything weird can happen, take charge of yourself, listen to directions as much as possible, and be very very very patient. We’re all in it together at that point. Loved all my fellow guests in each case so enormously.
We were once evacuated from Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland CA) and it was awesome. Seriously! We got to see the Disney people management in action, go “backstage” and got a free FastPass (old school) which we used on a ride we wouldn’t have been able to get on (it was nearing the end of the day).
OMG what a nightmare, coming up from down under in April, bewildered as to how to navigate what appears to be the complexity of how to go to Disney World from these RUclips’s! Can you please do a simplicity option for foreigners?
The resort coffee makers - ours didn't turn off automatically!! We got back from a long day at the park to find it still on and the near-empty pot searingly hot with goopy coffee! We're so used to our auto-off coffee makers at home, we didn't even think about it. Watch out for this.
I can vouch for the joys of blisters. Last trip I got several on my right foot for day one and got some on the other foot on day two. And that was with shoes that had been broken in for 6 months before the trip. It made walking in the parks a real treat. I'm more prepared for our trip coming up in February.
We stayed at Drury hotel the first week of December and their bus service was great. They ran all day long they were on time and all of the drivers we had were fantastic.
These are cool facts I like the one where you can skip the lines at the airport and I hope people use it but I won’t have to because I have a disabled mom so we usually just cut lines anyways
23:47 this may be cause im from belgium where the liege waffles are from. But any liege waffle or even Brussels waffle for that matter that has anything fancy on them outside of plain old sugar is a waste. Im my opinion it ruins the simplicity and charm of them
You’re so lucky going everyday.. sadly my family will never see Disneyland 😢 probably ever.. it’s way too expensive😢😢😢.. still im not the only one who will never get to see Disney ever . Your lucky and im genuinely happy for you and those that can and do xxx
Many listed Good Neighbor hotels (such as Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista) no longer have the GN benefits. July of 2022, I stayed there because it was supposed to have the GN perks, but according to the Cast members checking you in, Rosen Inn LBV is NOT on the list (despite the continued advertising). That may have changed since I last stayed there, but make sure you find out beforehand.
I think Genie+ ruined the crowd control at the parks. Before Genie+, most guests staying at hotels had the ability to book fastpass, which meant at all times of the day, multiple families would be in fastpass lines. People don’t buy and book Genie+ the same way you could with Fastpass, so more people are just out and about in the parks- giving the illusion that during the "FastPass era" it was less crowded. Sure, it puts more money into Disney's pockets but it makes the overall park experience so much worse for guests.
Rockin Roller coaster... that will be me popping the Advil after. That won't stop me from going on it once though ! I appreciate the warning though, thank you.
Yeah so i go swimming a lot in the summer, and when i forget to take my fitbit off before i jump in, it thinks i had a strong impact and asks if i need help😂 i didnt even think about phones doing that in a theme park
I have to disagree on waiting for Flight of Passage. The ONE time we waited to the end, it was the longest wait we ever had for a ride… rope drop has never been very long. It trails around a lot due to the people, but the wait has always been way less than the wait times we see all day.
How big is your team?! That would be so cool to get to go to disney for work. Ive only been to WDW a few times, and there was always so much more i wanted to do😂
I'm a frequent visitor to WDW since 2018 and after 2017 car accident I've had a disability due to rods and screws, in 2018 and was put on the disability list for early ride entry like the lightning lane and had to re-register every 4mos , Oct 21 I was registered Oct 22 I was told it was no longer available which was very disappointing. Can someone please help me understand what happened and why.TYVM
Good advice generally. If you're going on ANY vacation where you'll be doing a lot of walking, it's best to not do that in new shoes. Break them in first. But for theme parks likely to be 10,000 to 20,000 step days? Just know what you're about to do!
I STILL cant figure out this Lightning lane.....Genie.....Genie*....hate the day FastPass was gone.....So what do these elders of the olde days do???? Walk around looking at the sights instead of our phones and hop on any line with 30 min or less....NO GOOD??? The we EAT !!!!!!!
Great video. Oh my goodness the only time we’ve ever been to Disney springs is evening weekends. It’s crazy there but this next time we go we’re going to be able to go during the day on a Wednesday. We’re not going to be staying on property next time but I wish there were an easy way to be able to ride the sky liner. Without being able to park at a resort I don’t see any way to do it.
This past Friday I went to Hollywood studios and tried rope dropping rise of the resistance. Since we had early theme park entry wait times weren’t shown so we couldn’t see what rides were down so we ended up running all the way there just to see that it was closed. They should really show what rides are down in the early morning on the app. Side note rock n rollercoaster was down 3 times through out the day and we kept getting lightning lanes, and lingering around the area. It even momentarily stopped right before we rode. Pretty concerning considering it was recently refurbished. Despite that it was one of our smoothest days at the parks 😅
Basically, safety protocol at Disney would be extremely high. Anything that could possibly threaten with a possibility of threatening safety will be shut down. Mechanical stuff has to be done with machines, that is a given -- but can you imagine the quality of mechanics (imagimechanics? Imagichanics?) they have at Disney? If you were a mechanic or working towards engineering and wanted some experience, wouldn't you want to do that? Imagine what that would be like for a moment, being an oncall mechanic in the parks. You get the call, you get over there asap through magic tunnels, and start diagnosing the snags. You're good, like insanely good, but look at all of those rides seriously. They don't just go all day by themselves, that's not the reality of machines moving massive amounts of human bodies. Just sayin' the place is a miracle that it works at all
We used to go every so often. (1986, then 1995 (saw a shuttle launch), 1999, 2001 (honeymoon), 2004 (hurricane Charlie), 2006 (baseball spring training as a fan), 2011.. not since.

Good to know about that calling back tip if it was an accident. Will keep that in mind.

Use Foot Glide every Disney visit now, so good. Expect I learned that one from DFB in the long ago
I'm going in Oct. I sure wish Rise of the Restance had a single line lane.
There is just too many hurdles to jump through to have "fun" at the parks. I like to relax when I'm on vacation, not have to deal with more stresd
I never found the Disney parks particularly relaxing. They were always kind of an active vacation.

We can only hope that one day lighting lanes and Jennie Plus will be replaced by something like Universals Express pass?!?
I would pay for it

Just got back...had a wonderful time. January 2024
If at all possible, AVOID wearing NEW SHOES of any type in the parks! Break them in before traveling.
ill be there in 10 days and got new shoes yesterday... uh oh
Don’t wear shoes. Bring sandals/tevas. Then you don’t have to worry about wet socks/shoes if it rains (or some rides).

They do eventually show the early wait times during that early entry period, but it does take a few minutes.
Is MCO Reserve quicker than TSA pre check?
Following for the answer
No, TSA is faster.
Can you stay at Nomad Lounge after the park closes?
Yes, it's open until 10 pm.
It’s too confusing for the elderly
Only 6 cookies and 2 slices per person limit?
That is preposterous 🇨🇳
Does anybody know if they are actually finishing building a casino in Disney Springs FL?
I haven't heard her announce it on any of her recent videos.
Wait rise of the resistance is no longer a virtual cue?
no it is not. you can purchase a fast pass for $20 per person.
I dont understand how rides just "break down" daily all the time especially when they are rollercoaster, that should just not happen.
