Gosh it’s like you switched a light bulb in my head. So inspiring ❤️🙏🏽
I feel like I had a true creative moment just now. What I saw on the page for a while were three jelly fish. I think watching your videos is helping me with inspiration and creativity. I am so excited right now!! Cheers from New Orleans! Thank you for sharing!
I cant understand why anyone would give this a thumbs down .....so relaxing watching you and inspiring TY
It's not too be insulting....
It happens to everyone and I agree with Helen Gillis, , it's Trolls who have nothing better to do. I don't pay any attention to them but thank you for caring Sandi Ellis.
I always think..... shame poor peeps! shallow peeps! Fantastic video TY Jean for sharing your talent & time! Thumbs down also is good, helps Jean on RUclips because it indicates someone has watched......
I was amazed the 1st time i saw that and thought who would even bother to fake so many ppl ? so now i think why doesnt RUclips do something about that ?
This abstract piece is exactly what I adore in paint, and even alcohol ink mediums. It's like 1,000 times more vivid in its nature, and takes you to a place of beauty and wonder! Thank you, Jean for sharing! I will attempt this.
It's absolutely gorgeous. 😘💖👍🎨
This is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing this. What a blessing to stumble upon your lovely channel by 'accident' ... LOVE IT!
You offer something different that is just what I'm looking for. Thank you
I love it when you say “I don’t have a plan”.
Beautiful painting! Just love how you make your abstracts:) Will look for r list of materials & try it myself. Have tried a few of r tutorials & now wanted more. You help me to loosen up my technique. Thk you:)
I Love this!!! Abstracts are my favorite! So enjoy watching you paint Jean. 👍❤
So interesting and beautiful. Nice color choices. That would look great hanging on the wall.
Always interesting and beautiful! I wish I could work without a plan! Your so naturally creative. Thank you

ive really enjoyed experimenting with abstracts since being inspired by your art, thank you so much
such fun!
Beautiful! Thanks 💗💗
This is wonderful! I love the way you talk about shapes and then let it go.
I love your abstracts. They are simple, but still complex and so beautiful.
Really enjoy your intuitive creations. Thanks again Jean.
Another beautiful abstract. I try to guess what your direction will be and sometimes I surprise myself. I agreed on the shape of your center tree. You changed it just enough to make it work. Bravo again.
I LOVE how you just “drop in” paint and make such a beautiful creation! You are so amazing to watch and learn from! I need to learn how to not be so uptight and let my watercolor be ‘watercolor’! :)
Fabulous as always Jean., you're a treasure =0)
Love this one!
Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing your thought process as really points out what to look for when creating an abstract. Love DS granulating colors..they are full of surprises!
What a nice way to start my day😊☀️. Beautiful and peaceful to watch💞. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day💫
I am inspired by your videos. I have been searching for granulation, landscapes and strong colors. I'm plein air/alle prima for Austrian castles and palaces; all as an excuse to travel. With your help I'm on the road to what I want to show.
Wonderful choice of colors, thank you for sharing your talents! ✨🌸
Wonderful. Learned a lot, a different technique. Thanks much 🌺
Loved this video. Very inspiring. My work is always too detailed. Will give your abstract technique a try. Art by Mogs

Try another version with paper the other way! Thank you for all the inspiration and information I'm finding on your channel.
Hallo Jean. Love them, they are beautiful. Sounds to me like you are a South African? The Ja gave it away ;) Hello from SA. PS first time I saw anyone use granulating medium, very interesting, love the effects. Seems like I must invest in some. At the exchange rate ;( it is almost like that! Hahaha.
You are so not good for my budget🤣🤣this looks like so much fun what a great way to warm up.
Inspirational Jean! Thank you.
However, please list the other products you used, such as paper, acrylics, granulating liquids. Also, please do tell us why hot pressed, and not cold pressed, and alternatives, if available.
Will do Moina. And I use hot pressed because it works well with my style of painting. I love how vibrant the colors stay once dry.
What a joy! I always learn so much. Is their a list of which colors are granulating somewhere?
Visit Daniel Smith site. They have a description with all of their paints. I just learned that the quinacridone colors I used are also granulating colors.
@@JeanLurssen oh thank you very much! I love the Daniel Smith paints.
Hi Jean - thankyou so much for all your tips! Do you use stretched paper when doing your landscapes? TIA
I never stretch my paper Tricia. Just tape it down.
@@JeanLurssen Thankyou Jean - I’ve just enrolled on your abstract landscapes and wild fennel painting courses - can’t wait to get started 🙂
@@triciabennetts6578 Hope you enjoy the courses. Have fun.
I would like to know how many palettes you use, and do you manage to use all the you paint you squeeze out?
I try to only put out the paint I think I'm going to use. If I have any over I put it in my round palette that has a lid and keeps the paint wet for about a week or two so I can use for test pieces. The plastic palette you see in my demonstration is what I use mostly.
💕🖌️🎨😍
Hello can you tell me which camera you are using?
I agree with you, abstract don't have a plan.
I love those trees. Besides salt, are there any substitutes for grounding medium? Sorry, I meant granulation medium.
There is no substitue for granulation medium but you could just use water and the paints will also granulate but maybe not quite as much.
@@JeanLurssen Thanks.
What kind of brush do you use as a scrubber brush?
I will list a link to a scrubber brush under the video.
Beautiful, and thank you! 🌸
