    To see that someone of your talent and ability can still be hesitant or worried about ruining the painting is enormously encouraging. Towards the end I was thinking, “maybe crop the sky? so I cheered when that’s what you did. As a result of this video I’m going to keep going with watercolour.

    I usually love your paintings but I honestly find this particular neutral panting a little flat, the raw sienna certainly helped. Thanks for all that you do and the giving of your watercolor knowledge in these wonderful tutorials!

    Thanks for your video. My I ask what is the difference between use the white watercolour you had use here with the pen instead of use the acrylic inks you use in some other video? What guide you in the choice?

    • @JeanLurssen
      @JeanLurssen  4 года назад +1

      One can remove the white watercolor but once you have used ink and it dries, it is permanent. Hope this helps.

    Beautiful painting , Jean. Very restful and serene. Who makes the Blue Apetite Genuine color? Is it close to a Payne's Gray?

    • @JeanLurssen
      @JeanLurssen  4 года назад

      It's not as dull as a Payne's grey. Blue apatite genuine is a Daniel Smith color.

    Thanks so much for sharing all your skills, and your lovely paintings. You are so generous. You even share how to make the fantastic granulation. Do you, or does anyone actually know, how artist as for example Naomi Tydeman makes these concentrated white threads of granulation?

    • @JeanLurssen
      @JeanLurssen  4 года назад

      I wish I knew because I love her granulating watercolors.

      I was afraid that would be the answer. I have searched and searched for a long time, but it seems, that there are only a handful of artists who know this secret 😏
      I won’t stop trying to work it out 🙃🙂. Thank you for answering 😊
