We just test fitted some front and rear bars for these cars, It definitely woke the car up!
Suspension company just casually comments on a video and like... 5 people notice.
@@colormesarge ;)
No, 6 people.
ETA?
When will those be out?
it was a corolla until they put those wheels on, now it’s a subaru
...and what do you think 30% (+/- 3%) of all Subarus are? nothing wrong with going what looks good.
K03sport never said i didn’t like it bro
Subaru + mazda3
r3 1 how
Subaru really needs to bring back the STI hatchback
Making the exhaust modification you should have done something with the fake exhaust tips...
Yeah, should have try to find a muffler to split and route through those and unfake them lol
@@XenonG it's not as easy as maintaining the original design, but I think it's worth a try considering in my opinion ruins the looks, even more with the lip on the back bumper.
@@clausbroch9270 expensive, but that looks sweet!
For a couple hundred bucks they make a rear diffuser that cover those fake tips up... looks nice
I have always remembered an interview with Jackie Stewart back in the 70s, when asked what modifications would he do first for the most performance. He simply said, start with anything than touches the ground. Tires, braking and suspension.
Ok that looks freaking good
3150 pounds, 169hp
Meh
Still slow
@@TheSuburban15 still looks good. Also its not about how fast your car is but how fast you drive it!
@@elas2k159 But you can't drive it fast with only average power
@@TheSuburban15 you're just not doing hard enough! My car only makes about 200whp and it's more enough to get the job done
It must feel awesome working on a brand new car this time and not a rust bucket. No broken bolts here!
The life of a dealership mechanic...
You have seriously changed my mind on the new corolla. You made it look so tasteful and clean. But I would do something to the fake exhaust tips that came on factory. Keep up the awesome work guys!
I never been fan of Toyota regular cars except for this one .
The new Camry's are pretty sick
I’m glad bigger channels are making videos on the Corolla hatchback. Hopefully this will bring more aftermarket companies into manufacturing more parts for our cars! Keep up the good work guys!
I love this build series! I love the racecar content like your supercar killer M3, but a fun econobox build is an awesome change of pace. Can't wait for the next episode!
A short shifter makes that car feel like a dream, my buddy has one and it changes it so much for the better
People underestimate the short shifter. I thought it was a dumb mod, till I tried it and realized I could shift as fast with 75% less effort.
@@SI0AX right? Its always one of the first mods I do to any of my cars, it improves the driving experience so much, and it's usually much more direct than a factory shifter
@@legodude19999 Do you know what short shifter that is? I haven't seen any released for this model corolla.
@@thomasgrantham7499 TWM performance I belive
@@legodude19999 2 bad, I just went there site and they only make them for Corollas up 2013...
I love this build series sooo much! It is really teaching me alot in terms of how to develop a trackable street car.
My wife's grandparents have one of these, I should borrow it for the day and tweak it for them 🤣👌🏼
LOVE builds like this!! So ready to see more.
It's so nice mid a car when you have the resources, know-how, tools, and connections. The car looks super rad! Thanks for sharing.
I'm not usually one for MURDER OUT ALL THE THINGZ, but that chrome front grille surround really seems like it could use blackened.
Same with the fake exhaust tips
It’s not chrome. Don’t mislead
@@BobO-zo2bi it's a chrome look. Everyone else got that.
"silver shiny bits."
@@willmitchell8500 now it’s a chrome look? Sorry I must not have gotten that memo everyone else got. It’s sitting in the garage now and I don’t see chrome look at all...sorry. It’s a light satin silver. Not anywhere near chrome or “chrome look”
@@BobO-zo2bi and yet somehow you knew what I was talking about, super sleuth. I don't know what the fuck your problem is but the notion that I was "misleading" intentionally is stupid. I'm done responding , bye!
Dynamite! That blue and gold is sick af!
Next episode can't come fast enough. I NEED it.
YES!!! Corolla hatchback build! I just bought one and finally I see somebody doing things with it! Yay!!

finally? there's a huge community that's been modifying the hatch since mid 2019

Way to go guys, been watching you for a while now and I noticed your liked numbers going up as time goes on.
Keep it up.
Very impressed with Toyota's use of chassis stiffening and flat bottom
So in one video y'all completely transformed this car. Very nice, absolutely LOVE those wheels, good choice on the Gold as well IMO. Coming together incredibly well! Keep at it lads.
Color combo is perfect! But that chrome trim needs to go.
Speed Academy saving automotive RUclips with Savage Geese and Slip Angle.
Big fan of all the big builds you guys do, but it’s kind of enjoyable seeing some simple mods!
man this thing looks so sick, really enjoying this sort of series
Glad u guys made this video series, I just got a se 19 and want to do this to it now!
Great episode here!! Well done SPEED ACADEMY!!
Smooth as always..
What a complete épisode !! Very nice guys. Very excited To see it on track !
So many things done in a single episode 👍🏻 fun car looks like!
have realy good time watching this build!!! love you guys!
YES YES YES! Finally someone is using the corolla for a build! Thanks guys and i had no idea of this 😅😂 just notice its the second upload
This is actually a very interesting build.
Super nice parts so far too! 👏✨✨
Awesome job guys! I really like these new Corolla Hatchbacks, and if I were to buy one, this is definitely along the lines of what I would do to the car. Hopefully I'll see it cruising the local streets in the coming year. On that note, hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :)
Looks great and sounds sporty, excited to see what's next.
Love that blue. Toyota definitely has the best colors out right now
I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this video considering I wasn't even planning on watching it.
Great stuff guys! As always!
Much love from Israel
Where is that
Wow wheels and coilovers made this thing look really good
I have a ZR Corolla in Australia as a daily. I have no intention of modifying it but am enjoying this very much. Great videos.
Loving this daily driver project👍
Love the air filter install, so informative.
Looks awesome. That's why I ended up with a 2019 hatch as well, just a good looking commuter car. I'd love to mod it but it will only spend its life on my work commute sipping fuel. Love your channel keep up the good work guys!!
This project is getting really good 🤤🤯
I like how DP's hoodie colors match the blue/yellow/black theme. Now just paint the calipers pink to completely match it!
I have no idea why I am so excited for this build. maybe because toyota hasn’t made a hot hatch since the fx16 Gts.
If you exclude the Toyota Matrix XRS and the Toyota Celica. 😁
there was a corolla t sport, much hotter than this
It’s not a hot hatch it’s an economy car.
Yaris GR4!
Toyota has. Just not for the North American market. It wouldn't have been great if Toyota had brought over the Blade Master and continued on with the Starlet in the late 80s and early 90s.
Dude! Simple and clean! Inspired me for whenever I get hatchback Corolla.
The project looks pretty cool !!
I'm so into this series!
Car looks amazing guys!
That's sick looking car with that blue and gold combination! Perfect! Love it!
Silver aluminum would have looked perfect. The gold clashes. It’s better on a red car
Please do more of this!!! Love it!
So AWESOME!!! Bravo guys!!! 🔝👍
Awesome video, thanks for making our day more worth it. Happy Christmas and a happy new year 🎉🎉💥😎👍
That sound so amazing...toyota mad!!!!❤
Nice job guys, really enjoyed watching this and really interested to see how it changes the feel of it on the track 👍👍
Man yall got this thing lookin awesome love it
Great video! Love the hatchback
This car looks so good!
Nice choices, guys! Keep up the good work!
I’ve been wanting a corolla hatchback XSE they are so nice. Has to have the 6 speed 👌🏼🔥
I'm definitely wanting one now
Just stumbled into your video and glad that I did. I really wanna get a 2020 Corolla hatch so bad! I wanna go with Pearl white with black roof. Thanks for sharing, I'll keep watching.
wow its looks insane .. i swear goosebumps
Wow that was a very straight forward coil over install... wish my Golf was like that!
This car went from trash to flash real quick! Looks amazing now!
TE37s look perfect on everything.
Damnnn look at PT go! Fitting and welding up a pretty nice custom exhaust...
These were all worth while upgrades to this car. I've liked the new Corolla hatch since day one and now have more reasons to look at purchasing one. (:
Great Episode. Definitly deserved beauty shots with music.
17:35 very scientific! I was skeptical about the wheel color choice at first, but after seeing it on the car, I think it looks dope.
Truthfully I wasn’t digging the rims at first but once they set the car down with them on I was pretty sold
I am not really big on new car but man I love this car!!
im so glad you guys are modifying this Corolla, I really love the way they look and i thought they were pretty sporty when i sat in one. Now if Toyota could take a page out of your book and make a higher performance hot hatch version i would be sold!
toyota corolla hatchback gr
This thing looks amazing
I'm more excited to watch this cars progress more than the BMW for some reason
I love the new Corolla and your build but those fake chrome 'exhaust tips' look ridiculous. Better to have nothing there if the exhaust does not poke out the back.
Totally agree, this is one of my least favorite "features" on new cars
A quick black spraycan job for the chrome parts should work wonders.
Obviously the nicest would be to make them funkctional all together.
I hope if they got some spare times they will try to do something out of them, or at least delete them
There is a rear diffuser that covers that up
The Corolla is looking good !!!
Big up from jamaica bro's.its toyota am done..my brand 👍👍👍👍👑
This is the best looking economy car on the market.
such a baller wheel for such a shopping cart - respect
Such a beautiful hatchback! I hope the rest of the world isn't sleeping on this car!
I didn't think I was going to like the wheels when Dave showed them, but on the car they look amazing
New Corolla is avesome 💙💙
Nice clean sound and dig those wheels, just in black.
A masterpiece
I love these new Corolla Hatchbacks, needs a 2zz VVTL-I revision :)
They are a 3000 lb car. I don't think a smaller displacement, high rpm, engine is going to make it faster.
I'd like to see what kind of difference porting, bigger cams, and a fully revised intake and exhaust system would do. But I'm sure that's not part of the budget.
This car looks so cool
This is so original, I'm defs subing and bell for this. KEEN!!
I will watch all of this.
New car? Rust proof it! Especially Canadian weather
TRD makes an intake for this now. They just need to make a TRD tuned exhaust.
Toyota needs to make a proper hot hatch version of the new Corolla
I hope they do something completely different than the other car makers are doing and make a screamer
If they make a 2 door version with some kind of 8,000 rpm motor I'll buy it immediately.
@@mikea5205 8,500 , I really agree on the 2 door.
@@alansmilealot - 8500...even better. I can't stand 4 door cars, they just annoy me (unless it's my daily piece of shit).
@@mikea5205 hard to find a 2 door on the market. Consumers and manufacturers are killing certain things
i never thought i'd see you guys throwing quality parts on a new corolla hatchback. i'm gonna need to up my monthly donation haha
We contemplated the project at first since it was 'just' a Corol;a but after driving it our decision was easy! And higher monthly donation is always welcome haha
Damn this car looks good. Love the color.
The car looks dope. I would def drive that.
This looks great
I'll be honest with the wheels, wing, and exhaust you've put on it in the color it's turning out to be one sexy corolla... I've never said that before.
Looks so sick.
Love everything about it 👌👌👌
Loved the video.
The new Mazdaspeed 3 looks great!
