- Here's my take on You're In My Head like a Catchy Song with lyrics from The Perfect Pear. Note: I made this with Dailymotion audio rip prior to stems being released so I will be re-visiting this later to remove the talking in the middle and extending it further as well as altering the structure a little, I think. I may not re-release the youtube video and instead may update the bandcamp+soundcloud audio. We'll see. ~~~ I loved this song in the episode a lot; it was a delicate song and incredibly difficult to do much of anything with it, especially since I was working with a youtube rip of the audio without stems. I'll likely come along and polish the soundcloud/bandcamp version later once I have actual stems for the song if I can find the time to do it. This was a standard "edit" of the song, rearranged some parts, extended it, added some instruments and swells and violin solos, EQ'd the guitar and vocals to make them a bit more prominent, added tape distortion/saturation and harmonic excitation to add high end and more harmonics, reverb, delay in some spots and did a quick mastering job.
Why? Because I loved the song, and wanted it to fit amongst my other musics as a song that would better 'stand alone' without the animation to back it up. I know that most musicians will not touch this song to remix, and for good reason. It's far too pretty to try to turn into a completely different genre.

I can assure you, my stream group was very emotional yesterday when it aired on discovery channel.
let me put it in words for you 3llie otaku so that you dont just see it as an episode of a cartoon show for children. You have watched several seasons with three people who only had a grandmother but no parents far and wide. you keep wondering what may have happened to them or where they are. From time to time the show puts little tidbits about their fate, hinting that they are either far away or even dead. And then this episode happens where you finally see a flashback of said parents and what have happened, how they got to know each other and what have happened to their respective families. And in the end the feuding parents finally apologized and got on good terms again. Thats what happened and made many fans of this show cry. But yeah, its just a cartoon show for children.
in this case its about the story. Because it wouldnt change if it were portrayed by live actors, anime characters or a theater play. And no this generation of My Little Pony is not just a girls show but a family show.
Only in your head it would be different, because the story would be the same.
I love how Aaurelleah doesn't do much more than leverage the beauty that's already there. It would have been so easy for them to remake and remix this song to heck and back but holy...The small flourishes of the orchestra in the background. The cymbal rolls. The tweeting birds. I can't.
My drum teacher once told me that the silence between the notes is just as much a part of the music as the notes themselves. In this case, what they didn't do is just as much as what makes them an amazing composer.

This is one of those songs that makes me appreciate country living. It can be so much more than you could ever get in a city. Just you, the love of your life, and a few kids all living in a cozy home in an open field, at dawn watching the sunrise, and at dusk watching the sunset. Finally, you relax and take in the full awe of the night sky. It sounds so... simple, and peaceful. Words can't describe the way I feel about this song.
Gotta say, the violins add SO much to it. The cymbal swells as well. Very nicely done!

I just got around to listening to this but yes, it's definitely perfectly done & you really handled it delicately in a way with care to then nurture it & set off into a path this is right, the path is right now because it is a different one because it's a path that leads back to home, that leads back to the warmth that is instilled of where you belong. You really start off with the lovely guitar & the vocals that we've learned to love, perhaps "learned" isn't the word, maybe the vocals that we've known to love because as for sure we've really fell in love with this song & the lyrics as we've heard it & we know that. The little fills ins of the strings are really a subtle addition as so the wind chimes transition into it yet it's subtle in a way to make the impact grand & not deter the focus away from the meaning. 0:40 as it continues, you hear the strings backing every so often & that really is a beautiful accompaniment to move everything forward as to also give that airy, light & love of a feeling as you listen through this.0:54, the pizzicato kind of plucks that are in tune for this which then give the low end some love as to also just make it feel more impactful in a way, more important of sorts. Continuing on into the theme as you go through & are entranced with the vocals & give way for the strings to come back & enhance the sort of beauty through. Short but sweet as to put this well & subtle yet enhancing. You did a wonderful with handling this with care & intent to not detract the focus of the track, you do that well. Great job, Aurelleah.

I "know so much" that I dont even know "what I know", I wouldnt even remember how to start teaching. The best thing you can do is use tutorials in your DAW of choice, and to browse communities like /r/edmproduction until you get enough knowledge to learn-as-you-go

Its actually fairly simple I think; it's mostly open chords IIRC
It is very simple to play the chords, though its 2 guitars and the melody is finger picked from what I can hear. Though I've found that you can fake it pretty well with just playing the first 2 notes of the chord then strumming.
well yeah its fingerpicked, fingerpicking is easy stuff though. There does appear to be doubling but it should be plenty doable on one guitar. Wont sound exactly the same but close enough for it to work

12 hours 15 mins according to FL studio's timer :P These types of remixes dont take a whole lot of time since the bulk of the "composing" work is done for me :P (composing which is choosing a melody, chord progression, writing the parts and transitions and stuff usually takes around 20-40 hours, orchestrating and mixing is around 10-20 hours) z
