Might I ask why you left the fandom? 🤔. Call it curiosity, if I'm being honest. I myself am not in this fandom _nearly_ as much as I once was, mostly because _Voltron:Legendary Defender_ is now my main fandom obssession, has been since I _think,_ at _least_ late 2017 to early 2018 and onwards.
I left too, mostly just because I fell out. I still watch an episode every now and then, but only if there’s absolutely nothing else to do.

Aw, such a missed opportunity... You should have had Twilight's expression change halfway through the song! Either way, amazing cover! Easily the best song in the movie for me, mostly due to its ironic truth. Everything Tempest is saying is the absolute truth: Denying friendship in front of the Princess of Friendship, stating her absolute power over said authority, even the freaking beginning! "It's time you learned a lesson". That LINE! And its SIGNIFICANCE! Beautiful. You did this masterpiece justice, man!

(And yes, this absolutely must be included. I must show my full appreciation for this.)
Anyway, first and foremost, I love your use of Manta's lines! The contrast between how Tempest sees herself now and how she sees her past self was beautifully captured with this duet. One of my favorite song concepts is turning a single into a duet, whether it be consistent of two different characters, two different renditions of the same character, or really anything else to that effect. I already have a few renditions of my own (completely cognitive, of course) with other songs in the brony fandom, and you've done a brilliant job of bringing this concept to life! Jyc Row was a brilliant addition to this! I love his work and this was the perfect song to demonstrate his range in style. And then there's Sable's vocals, cutting in at 2:19 (I don't know if he also did that higher-pitched voice for the part leading up to it or not, and I can't distinguish his voice from yours very well, but this part in particular stuck out to me)! The symbolism is impressive, and trust me, the only other time I've been this impressed with symbolism in a song was your word choice in Resilience, which may or may not have been intentional. The notion that this is when Tempest truly matured was captured fairly well in the original, since the lyrics get more intense at this point, but you took it up quite a few notches by having that maturity drown out whatever "child" (portrayed by Manta) was still left in her at that point. I have already stated my opinion on the original, and I will say this: You've captured that sense of irony the original had and then some. By treating the song as the emotional release of the soul that it truly is instead of just another super-evil villain song, you have earned a great deal of respect from me (That may not be saying much, since I don't have much of a standing in the fandom, but trust me, I am RIDICULOUSLY picky about this stuff. Seriously, I still get on the _Lullaby for a Princess_ animation's case for using the storybook style, because it felt like too convenient a shortcut and doesn't capture the intended symbolism due to the song's setting)! I love the way you sang the beginning, because one criticism I had with the original is that her disgust of Twilight's point of view wasn't very well-conveyed. You managed to communicate that while not overplaying the intensity of the moment, which isn't easy to do. And that's just the beginning! You've perfectly conveyed her disgust, sorrow, malice, and desperation perfectly. The electric guitar at 1:48 felt a little out of place, but I feel it fits pretty well because of that. Tempest's redemption arc was about one thing for me: Fear. She showed quite a bit of it when Grubber mentioned her horn near the beginning, and then hid it under a mask until the climax. Her fear of the Storm King when he showed up in person... of her situation after getting betrayed... of finding her place when Twilight saved her... it's written all over her face, and comes full-circle during her "sacrifice". This instrument choice was a beautiful way to symbolize that lingering fear... that intense feeling crying meekly in the silence, getting overshadowed by resolve at 1:57, and once again showing itself at 2:04 to still exist in the end. Well done in every regard!
My only criticism is that you (or Jyc Row, as it would seem) left the original music in the background during the instrumental section inbetween the bridge. It would have been so much better to reimagine this part entirely, because it certainly stands out to someone who has listened to this song on countless occasions and knows it like the back of his hand. And if it _was_ perchance made from scratch, it's a bit too similar to the original. Making it sound a little more meek and hopeless by taking away or reducing the volume of some of the instrumentals, or even intensifying the percussion a bit would go a long way. Now, I don't know much about _creating_ music, but I don't believe that would have been particularly difficult. Another missed opportunity, it seems. :/
So overall, yeah. This masterpiece is going on my music playlist without a doubt. I don't have very many covers on there either, especially when I already have the original, so that's saying something! I'm also turning on notifications for this channel, because I want to hear more stuff like this as soon as possible. I expect great things from you!
