Awesome to hear you moved to Placid. Looking forward to many more videos. You're living my dream! There's something magical about the High Peaks and Lake Placid region. Wish I could move up there.
BEAUTIFUL video! Just found your channel and so happy I did! I'm cycling around Europe right now and just started making travel videos. Your gorgeous videos are definitely an inspiration!
Are you still working downtown? I love love your videos you do such great work editing. I visited ny adirondaks last March. A group of friends and I did Algonquin. And then did ampersand the day after..rented an air bnb for 3 nights. Can't wait for this next March for another trip up there. Also from Ohio close to Cleveland. Keep up the good work, will join your patreon soon. Hike on brother 🙌
Hey! I don't work downtown anymore. I haven't worked there in years. Interesting that you only visit in March? Have you guys ever come up any other time during the year?
I m going to be hiking more of the peaks this weekend friday thru sunday! I cant wait your videos Inspired me. I did marcy last year not sure what ones I'm going to do this weekend but as many as I can
Good to see you back, Jonathan! I'd be interested in seeing you tackle High Peaks from unconventional approaches. I hear there's some tough alternate trails to do some of these mountains, and with the added difficulty comes untouched beauty too. Take care.
Nice video! Would love to do some sunrise summiting. Still working on my 46, but living in Pittsburgh PA doesn't help. I am a professional ornithologist, ecologist and conservation biologist and just wanted to point out some birds in your video - the gray sparrow on Algonquin is the Dark-eyed Junco, and you may notice a very bubbly and musical song when you are coming down the slabs, this is the Winter Wren. Keep it up and incorporate more soundscapes! I'll be in ADK in Oct, maybe we'll hit you up in LP.
Congrats on your move. I'm converting a school bus into a tiny home should be finished in September and am hoping to make my first trip straight up to the high peaks to do some hiking! Cheers
Good vid man. Nice cinematography. Just keep the pans slow. Glad to see you're back. I'd love to see some of the Saranac 6. Haystack (6er) and MacKenzie are 3800 footers. I think one of them is taller than Couch. Definitely check out Jay mt. For eats, check out our favorite diner, the Adirondack Mountain Coffee Cafe in Upper Jay. They roast their own beans.
Beautiful video, Jonathan. As for your questions, only a slight preference for videos where you are hiking alone. And I'm sure you will eventually check out the northeasts other great ranges like the whites. I am actually more familiar with the white mountains but your videos make me look forward to doing a lot more in the adirondacks, which I think are often overlooked by many hikers.
I would like to see what you carry on day hike in a 26 l pack.. on your overnights.. although I remember you not having a lighter to get your stove working once. haha...so like gear review for people who want to hike the 46.. shoes, pack, whats in it... Ive just got 7 high peaks done this year and hopefully get another 4 this year..but its on my todo list..enjoy your videos.
I don’t know if your still there but my wife and I are looking for a home up there this summer. And I’d love to meet up at some point maybe go on a hike with you I fell in love with Adirondacks in 2001 on my first trip up to still water reservoir long story but if been hooked. Since.
@@JonathanZaharek Like I said in the process of looking for a home but we will be up regardless in July for our yearly trek up for vacation. Staying in an air band b outside lake Geroge.
Great video. I found your channel by clicking on your mt Mansfield video from a while ago. Your photography is amazing as well. I would look into doing mount washington(if you haven’t already) (it’s also a blast to ski down if that’s your thing) and explore Maine for other mountains near you. If you really want to test yourself head out west and try to some of the multiple day hikes. Can’t wait to see what else you have in store.
One more beautiful video, I really love your video, I'm from Quebec Canada, and your one of the only one who really do the Adirondacks, so been one of the best mountains close to me, I really like watching your video. I would like to seen you hike some mountain in Vermont or New Hampshire maybe. (By the way sorry for my English I'm french Canadian). I can't wait for the next video.
Awesome to see you post! Recently hiked Marcy and Skylight with my brother on July 4. Fell in that stupid pond on the Lake Arnold trail, but still an adventure, nothing like the Adirondacks! Hope to bump into you as I continue on the path of a 46er, Marcy and Skylight get me up to 10 I believe.
Great to have you back on the vlog. Your videos are awesome and really capture the spirit of the High peaks i’ll be starting my quest for 46 in late July. Starting with Cascade and Porter. Your videos have really helped me gain an understanding of the beauty I am about to see. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your new home in LAKE PLACID.
Stunning content. My new favourite channel.
Adk best place in the world. Great vid we heading up this summer for ten days.

I wouldn't mind seeing you hike Mount katahdin in Maine I know it's not an adk mountain but it's one hell of a peak I just finished it this summer
Great video bro! Can’t wait to see more!
Thanks for more great views and quality camera work. Welcome to NY and congrats on living your Adirondack dreams. And crunchy IS the best pb!
Hitting Big Slide via The Brothers in the fall would make for a great video. Another quick easy hike for you would be the Tupper Lake Triad.
You should make a Katahdin video!!

Have you done a video of Indian Head and Rainbow Falls (did not look to see!)? That would be cool :)
I have homes where I pass them. Like my gothics and Colvin range one
Ahhhhh okay :) I have watched all your videos, I believe! So perhaps just don't recall that!
