Yes it was. When the engine was on the engine stand and upside down ,oil ran back down the oil drain hose from the turbo . After a few days oil had leaked past the turbo oil seals and coated the inside of the turbine housing. This caused the excessive smoke once some heat got into the turbo and exhaust.
