A lovely sight. Beautiful old steam engines, the pride of the Southern Railway, still doing gentle work, bringing great pleasure and being loved.... Isn't that just the perfect formula.
What a great operation with some lovingly restored young ladies. I also like that fascinating observation car. What a unique approach to observing the countryside as you roll along. Thank you for your efforts in putting this compilation together. 🎉
Takes me back to a family holiday in Swanage back in1958. I can remember the day we went there and the excitement when we pulled into Salisbury and I saw a Southern region engine for the first time. Prior to that my experience was probably close to 100% GWR. I was 11 at the time. Happy days.
I was there that day sat for quite some time overlooking Swanage station quite content and happy. Love a good Bullied.
Well presented video. What a surprise to see a Bulleid starting without slipping! 34070.
Super that there are you.

Best regards from Germany
Looking forward to this one. 34081 sounding like she needs a bit of oil though!
VehicularBrit I agree, the fireman needs to get his oiler our fast and get some oil on the old lady before something seizes!!
She had been newly restored

Wonderful Video thank you for sharing.
What a sight to see all these magnificent locomotives together and in action.
You can't beat a bullied.
Oh my goes, the Bulleid have arrive, Can't wait to go on Friday to see the Southern Bulleid action.
Is 34081 facing Swanage or Norden?
They sure have - everything being prepared now ready for Friday.
All the Bulleids are facing Norden, except 34052. 80146 is facing Swanage.
Norden
superb video mate i am subscribed to your RUclips please could you subscribe back
great video. what a line up looking forward to all the videos. all these bullieds and not enough space to put them haha
I love the old Southern Railway "Spam Cans" but sadly they only appear in BR livery these days and not Southern Railway.
In part, due to the configuration of many (safety valve position, cab design, cut down tender etc.), with the respective owners also having their preferences. It'll be nice when 34023 returns.
all locos have arrives just need to wait 4 the weekend
Thought I'd died and gone to Bulleid heaven!!! Great vid well shot.
Thanks
Nice Video. Been Preparing For A While For This Event - Cannot Wait! Lets Hope Sunday Is Nice And Sunny.
I went to the same primary school as Oliver Bullied, although a few decades afterwards. It wasn't in the UK either.
Was that in Invercargill, NZ?
34092 City of Wells
34081
34070 Manston
34053 Lord Dowding
34052 Sir Keith Park
Nearly. Swap the numbers for Keith and Dowding ;)
34081 is called 92 Squadron btw.
sweet b there this weekend
Is that the Pullman Observation coach from the Paignton and Dartmouth line?
No. The DSR one is Car No13. This is Car No14, which is based at the Swanage Railway.
Any idea why 92 squadron isn't carrying her plate?
@@loganross4654 She was actually due for re-commisioning, by delegates from the RAF Which came nicely just before the RAF 100.
Where’s 92nd Squadrons Badge?
Not fitted. Prototypical for 34081, as in BR service, it was not named until after a repaint into BR Green.
TheSoutherner That means I saw the loco in BR green I was looking through my old Ian Allen book checking which BB and WesrCountrys I’d seen. Thank you are there any preserved T9s in service on Heritage lines?
One; 30120. Owned by the NRM, currently based at Swanage.
TheSoutherner cheers love your video site stay safe.
