Hello, my friends! What an amazing expedition! What beautiful and cool relics you found! That is very cool! Thank you for your video, and I will wait for you here in KURLAND POCKET! See you soon, guys!
Just a quick note: the English names for the weapon held by the lion on the Norwegian button depend on which representation is actually on the button. In the more modern version the lion holds an upswept ‘battle axe’ or ‘Norwegian axe’. In the older version the lion is shown holding a double spiked axe bladed pole arm known as a ‘ Halberd’ . The proper heraldic description would be something like ‘Lion Rampant Sinister ( = left facing), with Halberd’.
Just watched this and love the history and world war 2 relics, so I've subscribed to your channel and looking forward to catching up. See you soon, Alan 💯🍻🇬🇧👍
I would love for you to in the future ever make a video on how to get started battle detecting in historic places And how you got started and how to contact people the metal detect in their land
Just Curious if you able to Check Inside of the Bunker at all? If So, Did you find Anything interesting? I Imagine the Entrance Area Would e A Good place to Metal Detect Because that is Where the Soldier’s Would Assemble or Be Waiting to Enter, Possibly dropping a lot of items over time! Thanks For a Great Program, Stay Safe & Happy Hunting!!! :-)
Well done to you and the team with the amazing finds, the one thing I do wonder about is the dog tag, was it just thrown in the pit or do you believe that you may have found another fallen soldier in or around those parts, will you be going back?. It truly ceases to amaze me how so many items are all within a few inches of the top soil, it is just an amazing part of history even though it is nearly 80+ years since. Stay safe guys and I cannot wait to see more from all of you x Lisa
Hi Lisa, the thing with German dogtags is that they were pre-made/pre-numbered and then handed out. The Germans have very strict privacy laws which prevents us from figuring out who this belonged to. This was a ‘trash pit’ so the former owner must have tossed it out because he was reassigned to another outfit or when the war was done. I’m afraid we’ll never know. Thanks for your comment, your kind words and for watching the video! Mikw
You have the dog tag. Was that the soldiers serial number on it? Is there anyway of finding out who it belonged to? That was and odd collection of artifacts, I wonder why some of them were there? The horn for one? Fighting a war is tough enough without carrying a horn around with you.
what did you use on the license plate...looks like citric acid - try oxalic acid....it's way better..I've dug up completely brown rusted tins that have cleaned up sometimes pretty well
You guys had some amazing finds. Is there any value to any of it or is it only worth something to the finders ? Also went to Garrett's web site to look at the new detector $ and looked at the comments and pretty sure I read yours. You should do a video of the model as there are now 2 of that style and what you think of it ( the good and bad for you ). I noticed they are programmable
Few summers ago, we found big pile of nazi gold here in lapland.. from war field.. thats hard to sell those things, but no need to work many years😊🤷♂️.. only hobbying and metall detecting now🤷♂️😊
I love the Vortex. It’s very quiet even on the highest settings. The most recent update I havent tried out yet but that even seems to have approved the machine. I’ll bet you wont regret ordering one ☺️
Yes, around their necks. The top of the tag has two holes the bottom of the tag one hole. We also found tags in leather pouches which they wore around their necks. Little bit more comfortable than having that cold metal on the chest
@@IronMikeMetaldetecting Thanks. They do look uncomfortable if neck worn. US dog tags were comfortable enough. I was so used to wearing my dog tags that I wore them for a couple years after I was discharged.
german have been using them for a while, even before WW1. Soviets did have the little bakelite containers with a paper inside. But they ceased to hand those out after 1941. So many fallen soviet soldiers didnt receive a named grave

Funny how the WW2 Germans with the help of IBM thought everyone deserved a serial number.....kind of like Big Tech of the old days.
With an adapter plate, the double drum mag also fits the mg34

Great finds way up north. How do you guys decide who is keeping what finds? Or do y'all play cards to decide. Excellent adventure.
Instead of Europa why dont you plan a dig in Egypt or Tunisia ~ I’m sure the desert still has many secrets. 😮
Great video. Excellent finds. Hope mosquitoes didn't eat you alive! Cheers from Florida
Thanks for watching. That anti musquito thing did the trick I guess. Not to much bites from those ‘knuts’ (little musquitos)
I'm ol' Florida boy
Класс находки комрады! У нас в бывшем Кёнигсберге такого добра очень много. Молодцы

I thought I was hearing things in the beginning, I thought it was Techno Viking..haaaa

Woooooohooooo lets go!!!
That tube you found was DORAMAD TOOTHPASTE. Doramad toothpaste was radioactive, it had thorium in it.
Keep it safe from you. 😆

Awesome finds Mike, how did you find the vortex compared to your garrett?? I have 1 on order!
I love the Vortex. It’s very quiet even on the highest settings. The most recent update I havent tried out yet but that even seems to have approved the machine.

Ottimi recuperi 😊
Hello, can you ask me a question? What is the law in Europe for objects of war found today (guns, bombs and precious metals)?
The MG 15 had the highest rate of fire for any machine gun during World War II
Mg42 rate of fire was 450 rpm faster than mg15.
Bonsoir
Y a t il un risque de tomber sur une mine ou une munition prête à exploser ?
The ring and dog tag mean there is a body nearby
The British water bottle is blue because it was enamelled to prevent corrosion.
Hallo was für ein metalldetektor nimmst du
garrett Vortex, ist gerade auf den Markt gekommen
Lion with axe is Norwegian button.
I wonder how the German soldiers wore their ID tags? Was it around the neck like US dog tags?
Yes, around their necks. The top of the tag has two holes the bottom of the tag one hole. We also found tags in leather pouches which they wore around their necks. Little bit more comfortable than having that cold metal on the chest

Do you sell the artifacts you find?
Das erste ist der Deckel eines Essgeschirrs .
When did dog tags start being used? Did the Soviets use them?
german have been using them for a while, even before WW1. Soviets did have the little bakelite containers with a paper inside. But they ceased to hand those out after 1941. So many fallen soviet soldiers didnt receive a named grave
love what you guys all do Mike. Keep it up maybe Axe or Halberd
Que inceivel, meu sonho é ir na europa detectar e tentar achar uma lembrança da segunda guerra.
Your English is very good, I don't need subs.
Why are rocks on top of the finds
