      paul should stare less at the ipad, and realize he is allowing his client to jump AND land with a valgus collapse on both sides.. the number one cause of non-contact acl tears in athletes
      just another nba trainer training athletes to memorize patterns that lead to injury.. nba is LOADED with them

      allowing a valgus collapse on all movements, is not knowing what you are doing.. you are both deficient.. just being honest.. titles and working with "xyz" athlete/celeb means jack.. all the good ones know this

      @lefterisnydras4860 5 лет назад

      @@yaywoot123 i'm not going to play this game and argue with you. Just do a little bit more research about the valgus collapse and when in rehab or performance intentionally we use it.

    • @yaywoot123
      @yaywoot123 5 лет назад

      @@lefterisnydras4860 no game here, just deficient knowledge .. external rotation needs to be trained 100% of the time on all forms of jumps, squats, hinges, landing, single leg, bridges, etc, etc
      allowing a collapse = bad trainer/pt.. whether the collapse is an inch, or 3 inches, the knee should be two inches minimum on the OTHER side of the center line w/ zero movement anywhere, but constant tension away from the collapse.. this is training 101

    • @lefterisnydras4860
      @lefterisnydras4860 5 лет назад

      @@yaywoot123 latest research and meta-studies have suggested that, amongst other factors, decreased range of motion (ROM) in ankle dorsiflexion, tight quadriceps and hip flexors, inadequate lower body strength, and poor landing mechanics may lead to an athlete developing patellar tendinopathy.
      A lack of ankle mobility is extremely common in basketball & volleyball players, so by simply increasing ROM, you can easily have a solution or prevent jumpers knee.
      Now Paul didn't allow valgus collapse in any exercise, the guy's technique who did the exercises was almost perfect. In the end Paul improves his mobility and flexibility with some simple moves. Not something extreme.
      I hope that answers your question you never made. Now i would recommend something in your fitness career, Study and when you don't study, apply and then study some more because every 2-3 years there are new discoveries in every field.
      I wish you the best.

    This is a great workout for James Harden, agreed. Nice job. But every athlete is different. You young guys need all this core work but need to add the progressive resistance strength training. Just like Paul said in the video. In 2003 I had Kobe lifting max efforts on game days and then going out and scoring 40 points. It was known as "The Streak", Feb 2003 with multiple games in a row of 40 points or more. Kobe's work in the weight room was insane.

    You should warm up before you work out and stretch when your done; however you should never do static stretching before working out. Stretching is good, it increases your range of motion over time. However if you stretch before a workout you lengthen your muscles and putting them in a position that you don't normally have them in, this increases risk of injury and decreases your ability to preform exercises correctly immediately after stretching which messes with your muscle memory.
