In Buddha Garden May 13th - May 18th 2024

With it still being hot, dry and sunny we spent the first part of this week finishing up the first compost heap and continuing to mulch any beds that we cleared and/or weeded. Its very noticeable how when we rake up leaves these days they are not replaced now that the trees have got their new leaves. We are still getting leaves delivered, however, mainly from a school that wants to get rid of the piles of leaves they have in their compound. We also started a new compost heap which required quite a bit of clearing up around it just so that when the leaves are delivered there will be a space to put them. Midweek, however, we had our first proper rain and it has rained every day since then. Its lovely to feel a bit cooler and the plants seem to enjoy it as much as we do!
