You dont even have to give cats a bath. I mean only if they get into something dirty if they are outdoors, but most of the time they clean themselves. People just have too much time on their hands i guess.

If they get into a chemical (like mine did; we thought he might've gotten into a cleaning detergent because he smelled like it, didn't want to take a chance so we gave him a bath) or they simply don't clean themselves/they got into literal crap and it's tangled in their fur.
