- Since I have no Archives, I did what I had to do. Beat Bob and Weave Deathless(with a random too). That's basically beating it on Legendary, right? I can go to sleep again.

It's truly tragic when a 6th-time return of the same mode would be highly preferred over what we get.
Truly. The comparison is not even close, either.
Sometimes I wonder if every season is made by a completely different team. Because it doesn't make any sense, they brought back Junkenstein and also a new pve mode for Halloween, but got rid of Archives? Simply throw it in the game, it's already there!
That's interesting now that you mention it. There's only 1 reason I really see why they got rid of Archives, there were maybe some technical problems they couldn't fix or couldn't bother to fix in time. (like maybe Lifeweavers' pull gave assassins brain damage or something, or the OW2 engine broke other stuff, idk)
For example, standard Junkenstein had all damage values for enemies the same across all difficulties, that's really not okay. Maybe they had something worse for Archives, but who knows. Maybe they're just dum ^^
I guess maybe another reason is they wanted to have another mission or something but it wasn't ready so they skipped it. (and/or they didn't want backlash for having nothing new, so they just skipped it) If this theory is true then it might come later since Archives isn't bound to a seasonal event, it could just come next season or something. (but that's probably heavy copium lol)
Either way, it kinda sucks :p
I've been waiting for archives since December. I was really disappointed that they might not come this year. I haven't finished all the sprays :/

@@CarrierArcnight Just to add salt to my wounds, Blizzard released an "Archives Pack" In shop with only 3 skins and 3 player icons (As of this time). Ok I'm gonna go continue to cry in a corner now and sing baka mitai
Genuinely dishearting, I understand people who hate repeat events but I thought we made Achives the one exception ;-;
Can only hope it got delayed or that we will be getting something more soon. Still really wish we had Archives in OW2 at least once.

Someone says that archives missions will be permanent, I really hope so...
I've been bit out of touch so I cannot confirm anything about that, I really hope that's true. But as far as I know, we are all just on speculation and hope for the best.

I feel like they might have retired the event (hinting all there are a lot of those skins in the shop/drops) and probably the only way we will be able to play them in the future is when we eventually get the PvE which is scheduled to be starting this year but only time will tell.
EDIT: It seems like Jared Neuss implied that we may be getting it in a future season.
I'm sure it'll come back to some capacity eventually, just hoping it doesn't don't get shelved permanently.

Exactly my thought, Carrier when I saw this mode: "We're seriously losing Archives for this?!" Already 1/3rd through the year and not a sliver of news for the PvE release... oof. Not a good look, but that seems to be on-par for Blizzard, unfortunately.🤦🏼♂Here's coping for something PvE soon and not whatever this "Starwatch" is...
I really hope Starwatch is not gonna be just PvP with random powerups or something(i swear if it's just another deathmatch somehow), but I guess we'll wait and see, there is a chance it could be something interesting. (or im just coping, who knows :p)

I was thinking would be hard for uprising to come back due to orisa and bastion reworks maybe, since they use the heros as enemies. Or they are fully waiting for PvE to come out.
That's possible, yeah. Although they did bring back scatter for the valentines day event, so in theory they could do the same for Archives and bring back the old bastion/orisa, but I dunno.
