- This is a review of the Lasercam from Mintion. It's a device that will turn your laser into a camera controlled Wifi device. Unplug your laser from your computer and have the flexibility to put your machine anywhere you want.

My camera won't connect to WIFI- my Xtool P2 camera connects to WIFI in the same room, but the Mintion camera won't connect to my Xtool D1 setup. Where can I go for help? Thanks for your video, it gives me hope :)
Thanks for the video on this. I’ve been looking for one. 2 follow up questions. 1 I’m a little confused can you still use lightburn on your laptop to load jobs and run the laser and use the laser cam? 2 can you still use the cam inside the Xtool enclosed with the lid closed? Thanks again
Yes you could run the camera connected to a laptop to directly camera control the laser in Lightburn. However you would not have room to have the camera overhead with the enclosure as well. I had it in my enclosure again as more of a "security camera" view rather then the overhead view. It would just stick out too much to close the enclosure.
Interesting. I have been looking at running a Falcon 2 with a Raspberry Pi like I do with my 3D printers but can't find anything.
It is nice to be able to run some of this stuff remotely.
How do I set this up with extension kit?
Can I use the beagle V2 for laser, instead of specificaly the beagle laser cam?
No. The firmware is different and the are completely different devices. They can't be used interchangeably.
Im.really lookijgnto find one I can mount inside my xtool p2. Any idea if this woupd be possible (not sure if you have the co2 p2)
I actually do have a P2. You can find video reviews of it on my channel. Since the P2 already has camera for placement and WiFi I’m assuming you just want a live camera in there to see what is going on. I highly suggest a camera that is bare bones and small so it doesn’t get in the way of the operation of the machine. I have used the link below in a few of my videos in tight spaces. You just need to figure out how you want to mount it. amzn.to/4eeTgs6
@@BusterBeagle3D exactly i want one less for live view but more for recording timelapse videos etc :)
Does this camera work on Mac? OsX?
Honestly I’m not sure. I would consult the website for compatibility. I don’t see why not since you are simply accessing an IP address to access it but I can’t say for sure since I’m not using it with a Mac.
That's an awesome setup that I didn't know existed! Thank you for sharing this.
You bet!
Is there a way to use this app from that camera, to another camera? like sculpfun?
I don't think you can use this app with a different camera , the app is specific to the companies own hardware.
This is awesome, I wonder if it can work with the Devil1 Lobotomy kit for xtool or if it kind of replaces it?
I haven't used of the Devil 1 Lobotomy kits so I can't say for sure. I believe that kit adds a few other things like limit switches and such so it's not a direct replacement but it does add some really cool functionality to it.
@@BusterBeagle3D Thank you, yes it adds the ability for the program to run the air assist as well.
Where can I get that board with the measurements.?
I have grids for many of my different machines. You can find them on my Etsy page. www.etsy.com/shop/BusterBeagle3D
