I met someone who works for another cookie company and they said “they’re a marketing company who sells cookies”. Couldn’t agree more.
@@Pdxcb I won't argue; they're really good. But here in Utah, it is a competition on who has the better cookie. Crumbl tried suing two other cookie companies because they "copied their business model" when, in fact, Crumbl was not the first cookie company that had giant cookies with rotating flavors weekly.
so like, any massive corporation?
They are terrible lol. Tastes like cardboard and foam. Need to try cookies made by a real bakery.
@@aaronmusickant4640describing something as tasting like cardboard is the most unoriginal most thoughtless way to critique food. It also screams you never actually tried them. Either way your opinion holds absolutely no value.
@@vacuumblink2300"W-what? How dare somebody have a different opinion than mine!"
This sounds like a "Rise and fall of Crumbl Cookies" video in the making. As a seasoned viewer of Company man, I've learned that rapid expansion usually means rough times ahead.
Thats the first thing I thought of as well
I know someone who’s been at the shop near me since the start who’s a friend but they’ve had their hours cut to basically nothing. So they got another job and now they say they want them back. 😒
Will disappear the way cupcakes dinosaurs
Can't wait for the "Decline of Crumbl" in a few years

What the… it’s actually you?! 😆
The concern I have with these are how much of a quick-burn they are.
A lot of people I knew went very quickly from "What is Crumbl Cookies?" to "I LOVE CRUMBL COOKIES" to "I get sick when I eat a crumbl cookie."
Cap. To me it’s a solid desert place that I keep in my rotation if I’m ever craving something sweet.
@@rayreeves4681 You're saying cap as if I'm stating this as a fact, and not stating my experience with it.
@@ItzzzBeamo no you stated a belief and then I stated my belief
@@rayreeves4681hey this might sound crazy to you, but I’ve never heard a grown adult use the phrase “dessert place” in my entire life. Just say bakery. Anyways, gonna go fill up my car at the nearby gas place.
@@bearjew540 there are more desert places than just bakeries you troglodyte. Think ice cream shop… donut shop… paleteria…
crumbl did to cookies as starbucks did to coffee - added all the sugar and marketed the hell out of it
This
Cookies are meant to be really sugary though
Sugar is the equivalent to crack cocaine
And made it trendy to be seen eating/buying it
Starbucks used to only sell bags of coffee beans :( it’s changed so much
I am surprised that you did not mention Insomnia Cookies in your competition section. Crumbl is clearly more successful now, but Insomnia walked so that Crumbl could run. It's a fairly large chain with over 250 stores.
And they are way way better than crumbl!
@@CubsFan2812Absolutely. They taste delicious
I agree. They DESTROY Crumbl
insomnia is way better
I hate how Insomnia is limited to college towns. I worked in a university after college and they opened an Insomnia nearby and it was awesome. Then I got another job and had to move and the place I moved to doesn't have as strong of a college scene so no Insomnia here. I make it a point to stop by when I visit home.
We went to Crumble a couple of times and they are decent. But we got more enjoyment from finding local bakers doing like gig economy/side hustle stuff. With farmers markets and etsy and stuff, it's so easy to find those small, local companies to support. Plus when they get to know you and they've made a few cakes for your kids birthday, you really feel a sense of loyalty.
I personally love insomnia cookies. They’re so much more delicious with cooler flavors and are not nearly as awful for u (their deluxe cookies are around 500-600 calories and their regulars are around 200-300). They also have ice cream and cookie dippers! And they’re open till 2 am and deliver.
I prefer Insomnia, too
Don't eat cookies if you're worried about calories.
I had Insomnia Cookies this past weekend. Massive sugar bombs is what they are. They smell good and they taste good. I'm not diabetic, but I felt my blood sugar spike after eating half of a cookie and half of a brookie. Pro tip, overindulge on your first trip so you never crave it again.
Insomnia are still cookies. Crumbl is just a dense ass sugar/fat disc
To me they're like Subway. They're everywhere but the main competition is always the local shop that makes things better, sometimes with better prices too!
Crumbl makes far better cookies than Subway makes sandwiches though
Like. Every other food chain sells cookies. Like come on now.
@@Turnpost2552 Not freshly baked
@@PixelatedH2Osubway used to make at least decent sandwiches. We will see if crumbl can keep this up with their explosive growth trajectory. Many other brands have hit the international stage and burned out.
@@stephenward6986 If you're in the US Firehouse Subs is far superior, and at roughly the same price as Subway
I was about to try it out until I learnt that there are 800 calories per cookie... I'm not that weight conscious but id be damned if I spent the amount of calories on a cookie as I would with a nice lunch from a restaurant.
I tried them for the first time in New Hampshire and I got a pack of either 4 or 5, I can’t remember. Then I brought them all the way down to Philadelphia, took some bites in the hotel room, and then all the way down to NC where I live and only a little bit was left😂 that was probably in a one and a half week span, with two people in the car. Super filling and honestly worth it because if it’s a one time thing, they last a while, so I’d say try it and see what they are all about.
they're shady with how they market their cookies - you'll see all over the store that their cookies are only 100 calories or so but if you search for the fine print, it says per serving, or, only 1/6 of the cookie
A normal pepperoni pizza that we ate with my friends last weekend was 780 calories...wtf they put in them cookies
You have to remember their cookies are essentially the size of four regular cookies so you wouldn’t eat two of these for example, you would break it up piece by piece typically
@@aaronlimitless Indeed; I just bought one for myself and finished it over the course of a week. That's the problem though; they're basically mini-cakes, NOT cookies. They're marketing themselves as cookies, which people associate as a treat you consume in one sitting.
This is so interesting because I literally never heard of the company until this video, and hearing you say they don't really have competition was weird to me because I've always known about insomnia cookies, so I just assumed it was a regional thing, but accordingly to another comment they're mostly only in the college town market, which tracks given their idea basically being people ordering cookies at 1am because they're pulling an all nighter
I swear, I think their success depends on first-time curious customers-not repeat customers. Everyone I know who tried their cookies, including me, thought the cookies were under baked, and never returned. Mark my words, there will be a video about their collapse in the near future.
I’m feeling a Dippin Dots-like rise and fall in the future to be honest
Only reason why I went in
Agreed
They only sell so people can take pictures of them for social media. The cookies are always uncooked inside.
And the employees are required to ask for tips but actually don't really get them. The company uses the tips to offset the money they pay employees. They are a scummy company to work for
well considering "cookie dough" is a common flavor in other sweets like ice cream i dont feel like that will be the downfall but something else
I had these cookies once.. I wasn’t that impressed. They were good but not “ the best I’ve ever had” type of thing. To me they aren’t a crumble type of cookie more of a cake type of cookie.
I describe the texture as something akin to “sugary playdough.” Way too sweet, too soft to even hold properly, and worst of all too pricey.
You’re right the name doesn’t make sense. The one I had didn’t crumble at all. Just mush.
It really sweet. If someone gave it to me I would eat it no problem. But it's definitely not a type of product to go significantly out of your way for. Also way too pricey
At almost $5 per cookie (in central MI), they are nowhere near worth the cost.
@@baronvonjo1929 agree!
My problem with these gourmet cookies is that they're sooo expensive and are not really better than the ones I make at home. This also applies to Insomnia however they get a pass because I only ever go there at like 1am. I also find the crumbl cookies to be really uninspired, as 75% of the cookies are the same base vanilla recipe with something added to/on it. Plus every time I go there, it takes them forever for them to package my order, even if I'm literally the only customer in the store.
Actually they are worse because the ones you make are probably not raw in the middle😅
The word Gourmet is not associated with poor people...
@@jimeagle1155 Speak for yourself; I eat raw cookie dough all the time.
They may consider themselves gourmet, but they are anything but.
I have the feeling that Crumbl will go the route of Quiznos within a few years… their unique ability is easy for potential competitors to copy, and they’re expanding super fast.
And if there's one thing I've learned from watching your videos all these years, it's that lightning fast, exponential expansion is a sure fire recipe for success...
They already closed the one near me after two months.
Yeah, I also thought they were too sweet and undercooked when I tried them. I just figured the place was new and the employee hit the wrong oven timer. Eating it with unsweetened black coffee helped a lot(and I typically don't drink coffee without cream and sugar).
I tried it once and didn’t like it because it was too undercooked and mushy. That must be how they get the order out so fast. I prefer crunchy on the edges and was disappointed to get something so mushy.
That's how insomnia was too
Its so bizarre to see the growth of Crumbl. I live in Utah, close to where the first one opened. I mean, their cookies are okay, i guess, but the love of cookies and mixed sodas here is just unreal.
I straight up don't like them, too cakey and overly sweet
But its like Cinnabon
@@nickfernandez7358 there is only one I like from Crumbl, and obviously they only have it one or two times a year. :/ otherwise, I agree. And I think they're really greasy.
I think Crumbl has lightning in a bottle right now but they do have work to do on there cookie product.
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld definitely. I only think their cookies have gotten worse, in my opinion. I used to really like them, but I think they're just ok now. They were really at their best when there were just a few stores.
One of my goals as a business owner is to one day have a video made by this man, reviewing my expanding brand. What the honor that would be. Keep up the great work Companyman. Love your channel!
Also Happy New Year and it may be filled with success and growth!!!
Company Man you have always made amazing videos for so many years. I'm 23 years old and I have been watching you since I was a junior in high school. Love your stuff and keep it up man! You really are one of the best out there!
Mrs. Fields has done this for over 45 years. This isn't new and there seems to be a natural barrier to this concept. All these mall snack companies have a limited audience. They aren't a destination like ice cream or real bakery. They are an impulse buy and that's where price is going to become a factor. This is going to be another one of those ride the wave franchises that will have lots of ups and downs
I fully agree with you. Like Famous Amos cookies were.
Famous a lika de Amos ....ibitad!
I do wonder where places like Insomnia Cookies fall in relation to places like Crumbl. Crumbl seems to be trying to target suburban areas, while places like Insomnia seem to target the younger college crowd. Insomnia's cookies are way smaller and there's more of an incentive to buy a dozen instead of just a couple.
The difference is that they change the menu every week so people are always on the lookout for it.
Genius Marketing for a very underwhelming product.
@@luke5100yeah because they have a rotation of many cookies. Not just a couple like the others
Crumbl cookies are like the Cinnabon of cookies! They opened in our mall last year which was vacated by a failed Frozen Yogurt shop!
What was the yogurt places name?
@@Sypitz House of Evil. They shut because the toppings contained potassium benzoate.
@@Sypitz it was called Manokoi Yogurt, it’s a Japanese owner that ran the frozen yogurt business in the mall. Until they got driven out of business by Pinkberry which was in the food court.
I love Cinnabon and I think they're worth the splurge. I can't say the same for Crumbl cookies though. I thought they were flavorless, overpriced and too gimmicky.
@@caseyadams1861 the cookies are kind of overpriced nowadays, which I honestly haven’t bought from them lately. Stop raising prices for Pete’s sake! Cinnabon shouldn’t cost nearly $20 for just four cinnamon rolls!
Thank you for an incredible year of captivating videos. One after another. Looking forward to the new year and all that's coming to learn from our boy COMPANY MAN. KEEP IT UP. LOVE YA.
There are two locations in my area, and a family friend recently began working at the newest location. She reports long lines and tremendous popularity everyday. As you mention in your video, social media and the rotating menu have created a firestorm-- amazingly, these two things cost little or no money, yet they are the best influencers. Health reasons prevent me from eating these products, even a quarter of a cookie, but they look delicious. As for people complaining about the "healthiness" of the cookies, I say, go pound sand. It is a cookie. It is meant to be a treat, with lots of ingredients that generally are not items you should much of very often. People who want a healthy snack should not be looking at cookies, at all. But don't spoil for those people who want indulgent cookies! As for Crumbl's future.... They already follow a model that will help them remain popular-- keep a couple of regular flavors on the menu and come out with new flavors that match with current food trends. Keep up with social media, including any changes in platforms (e.g., if TikTok fades, be sure to go with the latest platforms). Cookies will never go out of style. The key will be keeping existing and new customers engaged and to remain trendy.
As somebody who's usually very conscious on calorie counts, I still fell for the serving size trick on these once.... 900 calories from one cookie meant no dinner afterward
900?!!! That’s steak with no protein
If I'm throwing away 900 calories on junk I'm going for a good burger and fries. At least the burger has some redeeming qualities.
That’s the same as 2 pounds of red snapper fish. Unbelievable
That's almost a fucking burrito worth of callories tf.
Just eat
Aggressive growth of a dessert company that had very little national competition? This reminds me so much of Crumbs, the cupcake place that went bankrupt not too long ago. I can't speak to how similar they are beyond that, but it's feels very similar. And they're only one letter off!
There's a pun in here somewhere about how Crumb's empire crumbled.
Anyway, considering how Crumbl cookies rides on its good word of mouth on social media, I could see things going sour real quick if a lot of people on TikTok change their minds and criticize the quality of the cookies.
I appreciate that you said something intelligent. Other people are trying to make irrelevant comparisons based on opinions void of facts..
Dippin’ Dots also comes to mind
One advantage Crumbl has is that cookies take a lot longer to go bad and can be left out without changing too much, cupcakes require refrigeration
Krispy Kreme
Hands down one of my top 3 RUclips channels. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
A Crumbl opened up in the unit next to my last job. I remember there was so much hype for it to open. Customers would come in asking about it all the time. When it finally opened, I actually enjoyed getting a box of 4 cookies once a week when the flavors changed. Then as I kept eating them, I realized they all kind of taste the same. They obviously are unique cookies but they have a very distinct Crumbl flavor which actually started to gross me out after a while. They're very cakey and extremely sweet. They almost have a playdoh-like feel to them. I love soft cookies but these have a very distinct, odd texture which made it feel like I wasn't even eating a cookie. 720 calories for one cookie is also insane. When we got the 4 pack, my girlfriend and I would try like an 1/8 of each cookie and have little pieces of each throughout the week. I can't even imagine how unhealthy it would be to eat full Crumbl cookies consistently
I worked in a Sleep Number store with pretty low traffic so our parking lot was usually empty. After Crumbl opened, the parking lot was always packed. There were constantly people going in an out. After about 6 months, traffic slowed way down. I think everyone who was interested in them finally tried them and decided if they wanted to go back which caused traffic to slow way down. They just build up so much hype from Facebook mom's and Instagram/Tiktok obsessed teenage girls that tell everyone they know about Crumbl. They definitely benefit from social media obsessed people who love to post their food to make others jealous
Crumbl has the advantage of not being tied to malls. I'm sure some do exist in malls but they're not dependent on them like Mrs. Fields. I've never had Crumbl but I like Insomnia Cookies, who delivers until like 2am in my area, a lot.
Besides local bakeries, the only other competitor I can think of is Insomnia. They're popular around college campuses. They're at least popular in the midwest, but I think I also remember seeing one in the east coast.
Truth! Check out @bakethecookieshoppe
There is one in Broad Ripple, Indiana. Well there was a few years ago not sure if it’s still there, but it was always busy.
You forgot about tiff treats! I think they are way better then crumbl I think Crumbl is way over hyped
Went to an Insomnia cookie shop and their cookies are good but not revolutionary imo. Also, they apparently have an flagship store in Philadelphia.
@@Poorgeniu5 The thing with Insomnia is that they're open through the night (at least the ones near me are) and do delivery. So while the cookies aren't revolutionary on their own, when you're smashed at 2am and want a treat, you can call Insomnia and they will bring you warm cookies.
Can we take a moment to appreciate this man's use of stock footage? It's next-level.
Regardless whether they are overhyped or good, I welcome a cookie race between new competitors to make the best cookie. I love all the ice cream options near me and would be more than happy to have a similar choice when it comes to cookies.
Never heard of this company.
Nothing beats
INSOMNIA COOKIES✅
They only been around for only 6 years- & they're that big? This is a success story. Hopefully they don't get too big too soon as we seen with many Company Man videos that growing too big too soon will bring problems.
The closest one to me is 7 miles away. As a cookie lover, I may try em out.
Well at least they're not a clothing company and pretty much a cookie company that can rely on online delieveries.
You'll be disappointed, they aren't very good.
Don't do it. I'm not even a cookie lover and I LOVED their cookies. I was addicted. At like 1000 calories a pop... not smart XD
Mark my words, this company will fall because of their rapid expansion.
No, this is a watch the bubble burst scenario.
With this channel, I hit the "like" button before the video even starts. Can't do that with any others. Thanks for the great videos!
This is the first video from your channel where a company recently expanded near me. This is a good one! My sister actually got a job for Crumbl. It's pretty sweet!
As a Utah native, I think their growth is going to slow down quite a bit. In this state they've already opened quite a few locations which mysteriously closed within 6 months due to lack of interest, such as the Eagle Mountain store. There is also a ton of competition in Utah already starting up which may spread to the rest of the country if the "cookie restaurant" dynamic proves successful. Competitors like Dirty Dough, Twisted Sugar, Swig, as well as tons of "dirty soda" (sodas restaurants with flavored syrups) chains which have started incorporating cookies have already started constricting Crumbl's reach here in the state.
I also feel like the pandemic helped them grow a ton. Going out of your way to pick up a cookie is something not everyone will do, but back when people were all working from home and ordering food from Grubhub it was easy to staple on a cookie if you had a craving. Now people don't use those apps as much because of the prohibitive cost.
The cookies are good don't get me wrong. I could see several of these restaurants spread outside of Utah, but I don't think it's going to become a Starbucks level phenomenon as far as an ultra specialized food place goes. The fact that they've already overexpanded and had to close locations in their home state which is also the state that a concept like this will work the best should be a warning.
Agreed
I agree. I actually live only a few minutes away from the Eagle Mountain/Saratoga Springs store and had no idea they closed down. Doesn't surprise me one bit to shut down in what appeared to be a booming area. It's only a matter of time until people get off this hype of cookies. Just like it did with cupcakes and Belgian Waffles 10-15 years ago. It's one thing to get a Starbucks coffee every day. It's another thing to get a 400+ calorie cake cookie every day.
Most crumbl are closing down or selling, they aren’t as profitable or good as the video made it. They are the next dying brand
There's one open near me and due to where exactly it's open I've always had the impression that they were a status brand first and foremost. Hearing that they've opened in all 50 states and market themselves heavily on a rotating menu and Tik Tok... reinforces that impression.
Those cookies aren’t cheap. As a single guy, I get more looks from the ladies leaving Crumbl holding the 4 pk box. lol 😂
We got a Crumbl near me in June of 2022. Tried it once and they were ok. If someone had them an event I'd eat them but for the price I'd rather go somewhere else. I get the idea of "gourmet" baked goods & desserts. However, in my area there are what seem like dozens of established places that make that kind of stuff, most of them smaller and locally owned.
Now there’s over 1000 locations! That’s unbelievable!
Definitely not somewhere you want to eat if you're allergic to eggs. They are borderline raw in the center.

Funny seeing this video after had just buying some cookies today. Tried out the weekly flavors and loved the chocolate cake and brookie one! 😋
I love that nobody is acknowledging the fact that they got in trouble in 6 different states for breaking child labor laws. I've never eaten from their stores, but all I really remember was the fact they got in trouble lol.
I was expecting this to be in the video as well. IIRC, they're "family run" so there have been kids (of the owner's family) who have worked in the stores.

@safetysheep5508 ohhhhhh, I just thought "who would love that no one is acknowledging this?"
Two of my coworkers at my job also work at Crumbl. They bring a box of cookies to literally almost every shift. I've had shifts where I've ate like 5 of them. I gained like 15 pounds. Thankfully I finally had the discipline to stop eating them 3 months ago and all the weight is gone.
I’m proud of you!
I have a couple friends that love to discuss the weekly cookies and they send pics of their pretty cookies when they order. But too often they say "eh, it tastes alright" and for $5 per cookie I'm just not interested in trying an alright cookie. If anyone ever swears up and down it's the best cookie they've ever had, then maybe I'll go try it?
Exactly! For $5 it absolutely should be the best cookie you've ever had in your life. It just frankly is not.
Theybare indeed the best cookie. Ever. I was considering giving up in everything packing up my bags and going to live as a hermit in the woods. That was untill I picked up a box of crumble cookies. Yay Massachusetts!! Tjx companies seem to be doing well too. Market Basket is expanding like no ones looking. And now we have Monstah cookies, way better than crumbl.

FINALLY someone mentioned the price! They should be $4-$5 a dozen, not $30. Who the fuck can afford to spend that kind of money on shitty cookies? And then these greedy ass companies try to gaslight us by bitching and moaning about how they can't afford to pay $15/hour.
i love baking cookies but it is time consuming. the appeal for me is trying all these different flavors (i freeze half of them, they thaw very well btw) and getting ideas for my own cookies. when i do make the imitation recipes tho they are the same (cake box based). i always add salt to them tho 😅
I think it's $20 for the box of 4 so it's even more expensive than you thought. It's insane. They're like $5 each, you just get one free if you buy the 4 pack
I think they expanding too quick and will probably be on this channel in a few years
im already starting to hear the hype die down from the people that used to be really excited for them
Yep.
I think it’ll be dirty dough and not crumbl who shuts down due to expanding too fast
"The rise and fall of...Crumbl Cookies"
prices are also way too high
I’ve never heard of them before but they sound great! Also thanks Company Man for all the videos this year!
They are, in fact, not great. Good, in most cases, but not great. It definitely depends on the staff, since they are baked in-house. You could have one be terrible but go to the next location and have it be correct. But those aren't good odds when they are $5 each. If I wanted to gamble my $5, I'd buy a lottery ticket.
I love this channel when I get to learn about companies I have never heard of :D
I don't mind sweetness or the softness, but something about Crumbl's cookies just seems off. I'm not sure if that's the "under-baked" feeling people talk about, but I just can't stand them. In my opinion, they aren't worth the money (and these do tend to be rather expensive for cookies) or the experience. But if you really enjoy them, go for it!
That said, their snickerdoodle cookie gave me a lot more respect for my own snickerdoodles. I'm very critical of anything I make, but realizing that I prefer mine over that of a giant company dedicated to cookies was quite a self-confidence boost.
They made me and my partner feel sick after eating one , they are borderline raw
It’s not often people talk about big companies coming out of my state-Utah. I knew Crumbl was growing but holy Shiz…!
Always fun to see what comes out every week.Definitely love the red velvet cookie
I've never heard of this company, and I live in a pretty populated area. I do know Insomnia Cookies, and I've been to two of their locations. After seeing this video, I looked them up and there are three within 30 miles of my location, which is pretty cool. I'll have to check them out. If they care to ask where I heard about them, I'll say Company Man.
Love Crumbl's flavors! Not a weekly customer by any means, but i find myself in there about once a konth or so. Usually get a cookie or two and eat it over the span of three days. Cake Batter Blondie and Sea Salt Toffee are my favorites.
Happy New Year. We love your channel and wish you a ton of happiness and success in 2024.
I worked for a Crumbl franchise store and it was honestly pretty fun, I got to meet a lot of friends there too. My first few months were really busy but it suddenly all came to a stop once they opened another location 20ish minutes away from ours. I also would bring a few cookies to school for my friends could try/eat for free (I worked the closing shift so I was able to bring a 6 pack home🤷). I will say though that their massive expansion will likely be it's diwnfall since many of these new locations seem to be opening near pre-existing stores.
This brand is currently trendy. Once the trend is over they will have a lot less customers. The next video will probably be "what happened to that cookie place?"
They expanded to my area last year if I remember right... or year before. I forget the time sometimes blends together for these days XD Glad I got photos of it setting up and stuff!
Awww 🎉 Happy New Year! 🎉
Happy New Year Company Man!🥳 LOL I agree with you that Mom's cookies are hard to beat! But yeah where I live the only Crumbl location that exists is in the next major city to the west and on the very Westside of it. I thankfully had the opportunity to check them out one time being over there. To me, they are worth all the hype. They do taste amazing. The one I really enjoyed was this oatmeal with frosting and a berry swirl on top. But I tell ya h'what, I am glad they don't exist in my city because I would be going there on a weekly basis. From the sounds of it though, the pace that they are expanding that might change here soon in the near future. Love your insights on these companies by the way. I feel like you definitely acquired the ability to see the patterns in trends of a business.
Friendly reminder as per their Wikipedia article:
"In December 2022, the U. S. Department of Labor fined 11 Crumbl Cookie franchises across six U.S. states[a] for violations of child labor laws impacting 46 workers who were minors.[25] Violations included assigning underage employees to shifts that exceeded the permitted hours and to tasks involving "potentially dangerous ovens and machinery". The parent company issued a statement apologizing and affirming their commitment to "a safe and welcoming work environment". Crumbl was fined $57,854 in total for the violations.[26]"
There are several other reasons to not eat Crumbl cookies, but this one makes me not want to even try them.
I thought they were okay when I first tried them back in 2021. But that summer of 2021 I tried the Frozen Mango Yogurt cookie and I must say, I have been hooked ever since.
Perfect timing I actually came across Crumbl in my area yesterday and when I got home I saw this video was uploaded. My honest opinion is that it is very sweet but I still liked it. I can’t see myself going often but I am interest in other kinds of cookies now
I've never heard of this company. I'm guessing that they haven't come to my city in pa yet. I will have to look for them. Thank you company man!
Whenever my mom comes back from work and has crumbl cookies for me and my sister to eat, we always get excited trying out each flavor because of how good and sweet they are. I had no idea they were this big already
I have a Crumbl Cookies near me. I used to go there a lot. Maybe I'll go there soon again thanks to this video.
I just started working for them. I was a bakery manager for retail stores for years and I like the change. Also my location it very busy so the pay is a lot nicer when compared to the near by areas. Working here also makes me wanna start my own cake gig. Over all like CC a lot. I see them staying around in my area.
Apparently your mom watches your channel.
Happy New Year, Company Man. Keep up the good work.
I really like crumbl. I've never been too crazy about hard cookies, so the fact that they are soft is honestly a plus for me.
I asked my wife if she wrote this. It's something she would say 😅
They grew up so fast into what they are today. They will Crumbl even faster.
I see what you did there😂😂 but yeah the one near me already closed.
Great video!
Yup, big fan of Crumbl. Discovered them from a RUclips Food Reviewer I subscribe to. Then looked up and saw had a few in the area, so I go every week or so. Both me and my roommate like it, my Uncle and his significant other doesn't. My top 3 flavors are: Red Velvet Cupcake, Oreo (Chocolate, White Icing, Oreo Crumbs), and Churro are 10/10 double up cookies for me. The normal Chocolate Chip and Chunk cookies are great too, in that 9.5 range. Their Cookies N Creme one is in that range too. Those are prob my 5 favorite. Def be on the look out for those and try all the other's too haha. Good video as always!
As someone from Utah, Crumbl locations are EVERYWHERE. Those and soda shops.
What the hell is a soda shop
@thrasherx2k1 In utah there are large religious groups who don't drink Coffee or Alcohol. So a lot of people gravitate towards soda instead, since people like having something to drink throughout the day. Soda shops are basically small restaurants that specialize in unique soda creations. Look up Swig if you're curious.
Each town seems to have 3 or 4 of them
@@kevinweaver4668 Mormons sure seem to love sugar, since crumbl and dirty dough comes from there too
@@thrasherx2k1 Everyone loves sugar, but you're probably right 😂
People love their vices. For a lot of people that's daily coffee with lots of cream and sugar added. So it makes sense that some people replace that with something else.
4 servings per cookie makes about as much sense as a car that gets 20 gallons per mile! Sheesh!
I watch every company man video
This guy never misses
I’m surprised by their growth. I think the marketing/branding is well done, very popular in office settings. Super rich, just an expensive box of pastries. But I don’t see the rise in popularity lasting much longer. I think insomnia has marketed towards a more reliable crowd in a similar niche.
It's the Sprinkles cupcakes of cookies, or the Cold Stone creamery of cookies, or maybe the Krispy Kreme donuts of cookies.....actually, maybe you shouldn't hold your breath on dessert chains....
Never even heard of this place until this video. A quick Google search reveals that there are 3 locations within driving distance of my house.
So, yeah. Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely check them out. Cheers!
A/B testing your product in real time!!! This is a fascinating case study!
I have one these ten minutes from my apartment. Cookies’ inner rawness might be a sticking point for some folks. But man are they delicious!
Yep I think it's because they want them to be like chewy cookies.
I think it depends on what's in/on the cookie to be fair, I feel like they have a set time so that way they don't have to set up a million different times, but like the Nutella one for example its just dough,
It was the sweetest thing I’ve had to the point it hurt my throat swallowing. Our group of friends was also confused because it was wet and mushy and falling apart, to the point of tasting still raw. It was the nastiest cookie we’ve had. Cookies by George were much superior.
We'd never heard of Crumbl until a few weeks ago, when local news announced that 2 of them are opening in nearby (small) cities. We plan to try them next year.
the peanut butter and jelly cookie is high key one of the best things i’ve ever ate
I've honestly never had the urge to eat giant overpriced cake-like cookies, especially not late at night. This fad is going to die so fast like frozen yogurt places did. They're copying Insomnia and overexpanding. It's a fad that I can't even get behind and unless they sell it they're going to be broke In two years.
Although frozen yogurt genuinely tastes so good, and I'm sad it's not around anymore
@@justalpha9138 same
insomnia is better imo, i like that they’re always warm and they’re both chewy and crunchy while crumbl is more playdoughy
They copy Insomnia... poorly. Insomnia cookies actually taste like cookies. Crumbl tastes like cookie-shaped mini cakes with chocolate chips in them. Also Insomnia uses semi-sweet chocolate while Crumbl uses milk chocolate (I don't like milk chocolate in cookies).
I love Insomnia! I lived near one for a while. It was nice to buy a bunch of different types of cookies, then eat a few every day until they were gone.
They have a weird wax taste
The Chick-fil-a model appearing as a super friendly place with a ok product. But as a place with a very specific product i see it topping out soon and possibly flat lining if they can't manage there long term
Also why is this video the first i heard of it.
The turtle cookie was great and the pumpkin cheesecake cookie is to die for 🤤💕
I prefer soft cookies so that doesn't bother me, and ya, they're super sweet, but I eat a 1/4 to a 1/2 at a time so it's not bad for an occasional treat.
I've been a crumbl fan since I came across one in a nearby shopping center, no social media influencing needed!
Back in college my roommates and I made a crumbl run and we all felt so sick after each eating two cookies in one sitting. This was back when crumbl only had one location. Who would have thought that Crumbl would grow so big.
Lmao that’s your own fault. Eating over 10oz of sugary cookies in one sitting
@@Scowleasy Yes it was our own fault, but it was the first thing we roommates bonded over so we all think highly over that experience.
There is a competitor where I live called Crave. And I dont support Crumbl because of their very shady and predatory tactics to try and shut down Crave to have sole market share in my city. I remember reading all about it in our local news. For that reason alone I dont support them. Not that I am in the mood often for deluxe cookies, but if I ever am, I go to Crave locally.
Crave is doing fairly strong in our local market. I wonder if they will expand more as well. They already have several locations all around town here.
Long time fan bro, I know it's hard to find profound companies to talk about. This video is great tho
I love Crumbl. In Utah, where I’m from, Cookies are a huge thing in food culture and they are very tasty. I can’t have them all that often, but those ads are VERY well done . I’m surprised you didn’t mention the “cookie wars” that recently happened where Crumbl sued a few other companies. Maybe another video? Either way, great video!
I'll add on to say that the best cookie I've had in my entire life came from a small local bakery called Sparkle All Over in Plano, TX. I was in visiting a friend and tried one of their Texas Sheet Cake cookies, which were being sold at a BBQ restaurant. I love a soft, cakey, slightly-under-baked type of cookie, and this was IT. If you're looking for absolutely stellar cookies in DFW, you NEED to try this place out!
