I think he's a fitting actor for the Brigadier. Not only can he mimic the voice well, but you know, because of his love for the show, that he will also add the same warmth to the part. I hope he gets to voice the part alongside Jemma Redgrave and that we can finally get father and daughter reunited.
@@jude6922 He is already doing so for Big Finish. Though I would love to get his impression on TV somehow. I imagine a plot where the villain somehow creates a portal to the past and Kate hears her father from the 70's (Or 80's), with Culshaw maybe also throwing in some Pertwee while he is at it.
timrob12 I think that would be fantastic. I think the series 11 and 12 have really lacked references to classic who or even episodes with classic monsters (excluding the Daleks).
@@jude6922 Well, series 12 had that epic theme tune remix with footage from the old Doctors included, but other than that (and the Cybermen) you're right.
Mr Culshaw, thank you so much for your time. Your passion and joy are contagious and your experience valuable as well as so entertaining. Thanks Emily.
This is brilliant! And yes, I will think back on the watch-alongs! They have ABSOULTELY made this time easier !!! (Although I'm still waiting for a River Song episode! :) )
You should watch the Dead Ringers television series, where he plays Tom Baker's Doctor looking for the Master's TARDIS in a furniture store, looking through the wardrobes.😆
Whenever I feel a bit worn down by 2020,i put this on, and I just relax and laugh, this is such a talent-- my favourite is John Pertwee-- sharp and crisp!
They should definitely bring back the Impressions Show he did with Debra Stephenson. Should never have been axed in the first place. His impressions are perfect, and so funny to watch and listen to with his voice and mannerisms.
He’s such a handsome soul. Kudos to him. I hope Chris Eccleston is there for 60th Anniversary. John had me in stitches. So easy on the ear. Q....Q... I would like to see John try and do John de Lancie, Q from Star Trek. I’d like to see him try Patrick Stewart.
The fact that you can create Morgan Freeman's voice by pitch shifting Andy Murray reminds me of how you can make Kylie Minogue sound like Rick Astley by shifting her singing voice down.
What has to be THE top impression for me (personally) was the letter L: The late, (and very great) Les Dawson. That was superb. I replayed it to hear it again, but this time scrolled the video down so I could not see Jon, and MY GAWD, you would've genuinely thought it was Les himself.
@@MrDiddyDee You may well be right. I'd bet on her amazement came from the same place as mine... she just couldn't believe he would actually bend his own spoon to make a joke.
I’m with Jon on having Chris Eccleston back as The Doctor, was hoping he was going to appear in the 50th when John Hurt started to regenerate. What I would love to see is the 3rd Dr and getting Sean to play his dads role as he did when he cosplayed him on Halloween a few years back
Jon Culshaw should take over when Jodie regenerates as I love his idea for how he'd play The Doctor with that little hint of Alec Guinness and to see his Northern Light Pertwee Theme image become reality
Jon totally met the challenge, to think on your feet so quickly. As he'd already done William Shatner, for the 'X' I hoped Jon would think of Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier.
"I ground the beans myself" "I got a coffee grinder from ebay" ... You didn't crush them with your bare hands! C'mon Culshaw - give us your best impression of G1 Megatron. Let worlds collide.
The Who/Trek/Star Wars made me think. Someone should really, really do a photoshoot with William Shatner, Tom Baker and Mark Hamill while they’re all still around.
Go even better. Tom Baker, Mark Hamill, William Shatner for the 70s. Paul McGann, Ewan Mcgregor, and Patrick Stewart for the 90s Peter Capaldi, Adam Driver, and Chris Pine for 2010s
When he was trying to go from Andy Murray to Morgan Freeman, he really had a Henry Fonda sound in there. I think he could do a really good Henry Fonda.
How on earth did you guys manage to contact him? I found an email on his website that I believed was his agents', tried to contact them, but to no avail ._.
Jon Culshaw said his dream job would be to do Dr Who. Could there not be a one-off when he is transitioning and there is a break down in the space-time continuum and all the previous Drs try to re-manifest and Jon does them all?
Pointless, yesterday tne jackpot round was name a classic who story 1. drs 1 &2, 2. drs 3 &4 3. drs 5,6 and 7 pretty much every story was pointless, (only 5 drs scored points for 3) only about 12 stories scored points.
Still LOVE his George W Bush impressions! "My fellow umbrella stands!" "We must save Afri-IKEA/freaky-land" 🤣 such a talented man 😊👏👏

It’s back! This was amazing! Jon and Emily you are both so great, that gave me a lot of laughs!
I love Culshaw. A beautiful human being.
That Terrence Dicks impression caught me off guard, bloody brilliant
Never actually heard Dicksy talk
The David bowie talking voice is incredible
Thank you for 37 minutes of pure smiles and joy.
What a pair of lovely people. They've made my day.
Ah, this is so good you never want it to end. Thank you.😊
This has to be the finest piece of lockdown entertainment. I love this...
So nice to see that LINDA lot are still active. Good for them!
He will forever be the ONLY person that can successfully imitate Tom Baker. What a voice to be able to capture another unique voice so smoothly...
Absolutely brilliant ! Phenomenal! Love Emily and Jon! Such great chemistry!! Love the video !!! 😊😊😊😊
Love his Prince Charles and his Attenborough . Brilliant.
Alexander Armstrong also voices the Xylok Mr Smith in Sarah Jane Adventure

Never heard a Rik Mayal impression done well before. Amazing. Can you imagine the animation this guy could pull off?

how can anyone keep it together listening to John's impressions. He is sooooo fucking good
Bit late to the party...loving this!!!
Is it me, or does Terrance Dicks' voice get the nicest smile and response? How lovely.
Hes the best Tom Baker/ Jon Pertwee impressionist Ive ever heard. Absolutely corking some of the others too!
He's wonderful!
Love this guy.
Amazing. Wonderful.

Very poetic.
Why does Northern lights and an icy setting immediately make me think of Blackpool illuminations in November!

Lots of good ones here. But I was laughing the loudest when Jon had the commitment to actually bend his own spoon. Respect, Jon, respect.
Jon's joke worked too well, it was so sweet the look of total jaw dropped amazement on her face, I think she genuinely believed it.

My favourite Pertwee quote, performed by Frank Bruno, what a brilliantly bizarre mashup 😂
That was great.
When he came to "U" I was expecting him to say "well funny enough, it's one of the hardest things to do - impersonating yourself!"
This is amazing
It is magic to me.

It's interesting that he takes his glasses off for every impression. Seems to be the way it works for him.
The man is a genius.
It was quite humbling to watch a master at work and to see him try a brand new voice.
Thanks for posting this video, it's been great to just have a laugh and forget about the worries of the World for a bit :-)

Great entertainment from Jon. And the point of the other person sitting on cushions was?
You know it's stunning they haven't gotten him to do Ninth Doctor audios.

Richard Osman could join Morgan Freeman as an Andy Murray sound brother, lol.
Why the hell is this genius not on mainstream TV more? My only disappointment was that he didn't do his Boris Johnson.
They planned the coffee for the spoon
The brilliant Jon culshaw, and the very lovely Emily too.
Ahhh, does he do the Audios? You can't tell him apart from he actors!
Its shame the audio was recorded with such bad quality
OMG, Jeremy Vine

Uri Geller was really good.
The Jon Pertwee is amazing but he needs to get the slight lisp into it!

Should of done David tennent
B-Dog

Simon P should probably leave that to Jacob dudman tho
Dino Montoya yes
Or Paul Mcgann.
