  • Welcome to the Junkyard. The Car Graveyard. I'm currently exploring some amazing rusting abandoned old Classic Cars in an old Salvage Yard. One of America's Largest Junkyards!
Today I am exploring some old 1950 and 1951 Studebaker Commanders and Studebaker Champions.
This was the car Fozzie Bear and Kermit the Frog drove in The Muppet Movie. Kind of a fun claim to fame for them!
These are some of the most unique Classic Cars I think I have ever seen. They surely don't make them like this anymore.

Studebaker ceased production, at their Hamilton, Ontario, Canadian facility, on March 17th 1966. There were no '67 Studebakers, produced there! There were only a couple of prototypes, being worked on.

Fantastic Throwback video! The Studebaker was/is a beautiful car and will always be a part of pop culture thanks to Mr Fozzie Bear. :)

This brings a lot of memories back. My younger sister and I saw this movie in the theaters. Subsequently mom bought her the soundtrack on cassette tape. I was 11 years old and she was 3 in 1979.

When I hear the name Studebaker this is what I picture. A couple weeks ago Sarah and I ran into a Studebaker repair shop in Arkansas and they had an old Studabaker truck. I had never seen one of those.

Love the video! I have a totally restored '51 Champion Starlight Coupe. It wasn't quite as bad as these when I got it, but not far from it. Fun little car and gets lots of looks. Btw, I just subscribed.

What happened to all the bullet-nose spinners? I didn't see a single one in this junkyard. Are they to 1950-51 Studebakers what tusks are to elephants?

Another great videos highlighting some of the things we have lost to time. Sometimes advancing, just to advance leaves many great things behind. Unfortunately that sometimes means moving on to things that are more main stream aka bland. The problem with advancing continually is that nobody has time to perfect the new technology and "debug" it before its obsolete also. Sorry rant over......... Well not over, but enough for now. Loved the video. Thanks and be blessed
