Gym in a box, freaking love it. That also reminds me that I should be using dumbbell presses when I can. I got a rack but it doesn't hold enough weight to challenge me at all.
everything is really nice except that raw edge of leather around the box. id trim it out with something..it annoyed the shit out of me like it wasn't finished..
matanuska high It would have made more sense to upholster a separate piece of plywood (tucking under the edges), and attach it to the box with screws. The unfinished edge doesn't bother me as much as I'm not sure that upholstery job is going to hold up.
Amazing project. Multiple purpose furniture is my favorite. I'll be in the process of moving into a new space soon and this will be great for me and my little brother. Please consider making more projects like this.
The pullup/dip bracket is genius...have you even looked into creating/installing DIY Stall Bars along that wall? Would be great for other strength and mobility training.
I like how you discuss the problems you experienced along the way in several of your videos - keeping it real and acknowledging things need to be learned. I would like to know where you got the white pull-up bar (or whether it is that you painted it from the one you made in another one of your videos? It just seems not as obvious in your apartment )
I don't get the thumbs down on his videos. What is wrong with people now days. I guess they just want to thumb down a video because they don't like seeing all those likes on a video and get jealous and need to thumbs down a video. This build was awesome and I wish I could have this in my house.
Very cool and practical for someone with limited space. I watched your Ted Talk so I understand your free design philosophy a lot better now, but I am curious what you do with all of your builds after you complete them? Do you keep them, give them away, store them somewhere in your condo? Cheers.
how do you usually begin with a project? you draw exactly what you want or as you go, you figure things out? before uploading these videos, do you do prototypes...?
Your videos are amazing!! Wow! I practice Historical Fencing and I'm trying to build a rack for my swords, do you have any ideas/suggestions for something similar? It'd work well for gardening tools too, I suppose, since I need something for my 1m long blades too! Keep up the amazing work (and the workout! ;D)!
Where is the link to the page with all the measurements? I’ve looked elsewhere and you said it would be on it website on this video but could not find it anywhere.
How often are the instructions uploaded to the site after the video is uploaded? I really want to be able to create this in the future and have the plans ready
Can you please tell me about that pull-up/dip station that you have?
I never fail to be impressed by your designs, Ben. This gym in a box is great.
I'm just here to critique form.
Kevin Hubert ikr
haha
mike hawk Gotta confuse the spine, right babe?
What is that pull up/dips wall mounted contraption? It looks cool.
Very cool . Are there any plans for this ? I couldn’t find it on your website
Cheers

This is one of the coolest things I've seen, modern simplistic gym
your projects are always unique and I like the functionality also. great ideas!!
Love the look, it's like a tiramisu workout center!

matanuska high hahahaha same. I scrolled down to find this comment
matanuska high totally agree, and the paint at the bottom coulda been a little straighter on the one side.
Agreed.

was about to comment the same thing ^^

HomeMadeModern doesn't work
HomeMadeModern link doesn't work.
HomeMadeModern, I keep getting "error" when I click on the link. I'll try again later, but do check that out, just in case. ;)
HomeMadeModern
Says error...
HomeMadeModern the link does work for me. :(
I can't handle so much cleverness
The pullup/dip bracket is genius...have you even looked into creating/installing DIY Stall Bars along that wall? Would be great for other strength and mobility training.
...This one is a marvellous preliminary work you have done.
"...while the Internet is critiquing my form..." haha that's great!
one of the best and most useful videos I've seen on RUclips. thanks, I'll definitely be using this idea some day
When are the instructions coming out?
I can't wait to build this.😁
Wow!
That's amazing! This is why I like watching these DIY videos
I love the shit out of how everything flows well together.
The War of Art is such a good book!
will you ever upload the specs for this to your website

Perfect mix of form and function, I really dig this!
Aweeeesomeee! I just became a carpenter and an engineer just by watching this 5 mins vid :D
4:03 "and while the internet is critiquing my form". You said as I was watching intently at the screen to assess your form.
Hi! I have watched the video dozens of times. Do you have the measurements anywhere I can find them?
awesome video and the work out at the end was great fun to watch too. if I ever own a home I'm definitely building these.
Wow . You got some skills. Great job .
Awesome concept and build! I have really enjoyed your new podcast as well.
dude that is so cool! i am so stealing the grommet/screw idea for the leather. nice vid.
These fitness projects are great. I have made a few for myself. Keep it up. Love the new podcast by the way.
I’m diggin these home gym plans
I would love to see Bed make a bed with storages/drawers. I need a plan for a nice , simple, moveable one!
This is something you'll see in Tiny House Hunters. Love that show.
I am from Brazil.
Loved it! I already liked the device and now the complement. Very good!
My man definitely listens to the Joe Rogan experience with all his onnit, kettle bell, and war of art talk. Cool idea keep up the great work
That is totaly awesome!!! You are almost my new hero, thanks

That's a cool idea, I might look at making one as I live in a small space and just want something to organise and hide my equipment
When you get big enough, you can just install some handles and lift the whole thing
Iv'e been wanting to make some bench seating for the dinning table, this will be ideal i might even use it as a gym but probably not!
would love to see your version of a power rack. love your builds.
Super inspiring project!!!
Dude good idea listening to audiobooks while you workout.
Very cool and practical for someone with limited space. I watched your Ted Talk so I understand your free design philosophy a lot better now, but I am curious what you do with all of your builds after you complete them? Do you keep them, give them away, store them somewhere in your condo? Cheers.
nice work! have you considered doing a bike rack storage project? it would be cool to see a space saving vertical indoor bike rack
This is genius. What a great design for the home gym. What's the max weight that the box can hold?
now that one is perfect. good job man
Thank you. I like this project. I plan to make a Gym in a Box for myself. I especially like that the equipment is hidden from view.
Nicely done Ben.
minimalistic - brilliant - PERFECT...
This is the most amazing gym I've ever seen, instant sub. this is a home makers freaking dream!!
That is a really neat DYI that anyone can do. Quite crafty good job. Subbed.
This guy is going places
You are so creative!
this is a legit video. 10/10 im so impressed and JEALOUS I DONT ALSO HAVE ONE!
Very nice! What the pull up contraption on the wall? DIY or store bought kit? Where can I get one?
Those were some cute stop-motion sequences haha! :P
Awesome DIY project man!
Really great project for clutter free life.
I love "The War of Art" really good book.
really good
Great job now time for some work out!!!
how do you usually begin with a project? you draw exactly what you want or as you go, you figure things out? before uploading these videos, do you do prototypes...?
What a great idea man!!
loved it! great weekend project! what's the pull up bar on the wall?
Your form looks good while driving in those screws.
very creative idea!! I'm not sure leather is the best choice for a bench, just may not be as easy to clean, if you sweat during your workout.
This is pretty awesome!
where did you get that pullup/dip/sit up setup?
earlier video
he made it a while back, it's on the channel
He made it in a previous video

He made it on his channel.
Cool! Nice gym!
Wow I like that a lot 💪🏼 great job
Did you also make that pull-up/dip/ feet buddy holder on the wall you were using at the end!?
Awesome job! Love the concept and the simplicity ! Where did you purchase the adjustable rack system?

Hi,
I can't seem to find the plans on your site, are they still coming out?
If not can you give me all the precise lengths?
Thx
I love this Ben! Do you have the instructions up on your website yet? I really want to make this. Thanks!
Good one Ben!
nice work i love what you do
Yes! This is so practical, love it.
Maybe you can build a rower with the same structure for your pull ups.
That or a pulley for weights like the cable machines 👌🏻
so where are the men's weights kept at? lol. Pretty cool design
Maaan, you should make that type of stopmotion intro in all your videos. Loved it👌👌
Great tutorial! Thanx for that ..i would like to know the projects/sketchs etc
That is awesome! I should make this for my fiance.
Your videos are amazing!! Wow! I practice Historical Fencing and I'm trying to build a rack for my swords, do you have any ideas/suggestions for something similar? It'd work well for gardening tools too, I suppose, since I need something for my 1m long blades too!
Keep up the amazing work (and the workout! ;D)!
It is really an amazing job
Where is the link to the page with all the measurements? I’ve looked elsewhere and you said it would be on it website on this video but could not find it anywhere.
Where is your deadlift platform or squat rack?
He's most likely a casual lifter so he probably doesn't want or need those.
Amazing. I need this in my life!
awesome work!
How often are the instructions uploaded to the site after the video is uploaded? I really want to be able to create this in the future and have the plans ready
