They are categorized as dialects but really they are different languages related to each other that all stem from classical arabic and the native tongue of the region

Coming from a Qatari who went to an international private school with essentially every Arab speaking country ever. It is just like different accents in english, but stronger.

So “Yemeni [Arabic]”, “Jordanian [Arabic]”, etc. All of our official languages, at least in the Middle East/Al sham, is ‘Modern Standard Arabic’ we just refer to dialects in that way a lot. i.e. people will describe how I speak as “falastini khalili” (Hebron Palestinian) so thats what I meant. Coming from a Qatari who went to an international private school with essentially every Arab speaking country ever. It is just like different accents in english, but stronger.

All of our official languages, at least in the Middle East/Al sham, is ‘Modern Standard Arabic’ we just refer to dialects in that way a lot.
i.e. people will describe how I speak as “falastini khalili” (Hebron Palestinian) so thats what I meant.

The fact that surprises me is that even some Indian people think Odisha's language is 'Odissi' and not 'Odia' where the previous one is the classical dance form and the latter is the language. She definitely is keen about geography since she was able to tell the correct name.
