There's absolutely no need for hostility... people can want whatever watch and whatever size they want... there's nothing "girly" about a smaller watch ... Sometimes, it's nice to wear a slim/titanium watch you can't feel on your wrist, or a solid watch that's weighty, and sometimes a spaceship g-shock clunker...
Jim, congratulations on getting the right watch. Finally they got it right. I'm stoked for you sir ! I was just thinking, it was time for a new video from the K man. Looking forward to an in depth review. 🇺🇲😎👍🇺🇲
This is by far the most entertaining watch review of this model I have watched so far. It was worth a like just for John C14 V6 at the end. Big fan of playing with things before I read the instructions. Exactly what I would do.
Fake knurling around the push buttons is a bit stupid, and that inner rotating ''compass'' thingy is absolutely pointless...that's like some hommage to the Seiko Alpinist? (it's pointless in the Alpinist too) Casio could solve that positive - negative display change with an update (it still can be solved, with a bit of a willing) Suddenly I love my old school 150 USD black diving Promaster a lot more, even though I loved it before too. TuTu could look even smaller without a stupid stick out button design, with a normal buttons, without some overengineering. Those numbers and a letters at the screen are really microscopic, it's impossible to see anything at that screen at a glance. Good buy but it hurts, it's really too expensive for what it is. good video
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the AMZWATCH, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Congrats on finally getting what you ordered ! I’d like to know which Casios it competes with and what’re its positives/negatives compared to those Casios.
I'd get this asap if I didn't think they might do another release with some color, hoping for a radial gradient blue or color burst dial like a couple of their analog Promasters. That chalkboard gray dial makes it look tough as nails though.
I enjoyed, watching your video, very entertaining and fun!😄 This Promaster looks absolutely gorgeous! Did you already notice, that the stopwatch in this Citizen's MIP display actually shows the 100ths of a second, and do you remember the cheap excuses of some Casio fanboys, why Casio MIPs do not show the 100th of a second on their stopwatches ? ("MIP too slow, blah blah...")😂🤣 Maybe it is not as tough as a Gshock, but as tough as the Protreks for sure, while looking far better than any Protrek ever, including the five ProTrek models, I own in my watch collection. I´m really tempted to get me the limited Promaster version of your model in dark camo design, I just need to find a justification for my brain for buying another expensive watch once more 😚🤔🤗😍 Greetings from Blackforest, Germany
Just got mine. The only thing I don't like is that there's nothing to keep the buttons from getting pushed in accidentally. It'd be nice if the side buttons screwed in/out to keep the buttons from getting pushed accidentally. Gorgeous watch though... I have slightly small wrists and it doesn't look too big. The way you were throwing all those watches around made me nervous. But at least we know they're rugged. 🙂
But does it have hourly chime!!?? I was upset, my Citizen Navihawk JY8035-04E did not include this feature. If this does not, then my next purchase is a Seiko Arnie, which does.
In the southern hemisphere if you point you 12 o clock to the sun, north will be halfway between the 12 and the hour hand. I think in the northern hemisphere you point the hour hand at the sun. I'm not sure I never goto the northern hemisphere it's cursed up there
As soon as I saw you throw your G-Shock down to try this watch on I became a fan. I stopped at :55 to leave this comment. I don't even care if the rest of the review is crap, I've already decided that you're my kinda people. :D
Only Kimkade looks at a badly-scratched watch and says, "...several light scratches." 😅 Keeps in pouch to protect it from scratches, then pouring the watch out onto a metal case... Classic! 😆
I like the design of this watch, it's not available here yet, I like the green one. But I will wait, maybe next year the price is going down a little. I already bought the green mudmaster GWG-B1000-3AER for almost 600 usd and it has all the functions you want. It turned out that this citizen is actually a simple watch, there is no atomic time, no sensors, no compass, no sunrise/sunset data, no proper light . But yes the MIP display is great. My older citizen promaster skyhawk blue angels edition is still better than this, for 500 usd. But I like the design and I will buy it. 👍👍👍
The constant drum beat about too large watches from the pencil-wristed youtubers does get old. If Rolex released a 54mm Sub tomorrow, the same pencil wristed youtubers would be fawning, saying "But it wears like a 38mm"
All that pointless TAPPING on those expensive watches drives me FKN insane!! If you are going to spend that kind of money on all of those quite expensive watches,You should honestly take better care of them than that. 🤨🤔🧐
Citizen uses that type of watchstrap since many years for some promaster models. It´s not a copy of a Breitling strap. In fact, since Breitling got a lot of bad comments about the poor quality of their rubberlike/silicon straps, they don´t use it anymore this way!!!! Also Casio has major problems with their rubberlike straps, since a lot of those straps are breaking and falling apart or just getting stiff and break after some years. Not all of them, but quite a lot (by the way, an issue also very well known in the watch community about Swatch watches!) I own at the moment 84 watches, many of them are Casios and 8 of them have broken rubberstraps without being used, just by laying aroung in my collection, most of them are Edifice and Gshock models!! Maybe just UV light is damaging this"rubber", I don´t know and couldn´t care less. All I can say is, that Casio rubberlike straps are highly unreliable by my EXPERIENCE, not ranting, but just reporting real life facts over the years, my friend! I started collecting Casios in the 80s (that´s 40 years ago!) Let this sink in for a minute!) I know by own life experience, what I am talking about! Casio straps are cheap crap on the long run...you will find out yourself in 15, 20 or more years like me... no shortcut to find this out earlier...for once, trust an old fart like me.
Those who call it too big need to check out the Baby G line. Maybe in pink.
Agree it’s basically a 44mm w/ reasonable lug measures for that matter. That’s a big watch, but not large by any means for a common guy.

“Pressing stuff…let’s press stuff.” Love the commentary. Great looking watch.
Seems like a very Jim thing to do haha! Take care Bro! 👌👌
Looks good Jim! Looking forward to your testing!
The fact that it changes from negative display to positive is a seller for me! 🎉
@@BishanMash it only stays positive when you’re going through the function menu.
Congrats! Glad to see someone actually checked the contents before shipping the box this time around.
First impression: that's a sharp looking watch
Have you considered a silk purse for the metal watches you have to prevent scratches?
What? Did you watch the video? This man already scratch the watch with right after the unboxing.. He is Jimrigeverything.
12:07 oh the humanity
lol, I almost lost my supper watching that 😂. Jim is the JerryRigEverything of watches!
No safe queen watches for Jimmy.

"Is that scratched?"...I bet a thousand bucks they are all scratched. 🤣
When are you planning on getting the G-Shock GW9500MEC-1?
Jim your videos are awesome, keep'em up!
So happy for you sir. No chick's watches anymore. Hope your wife is enjoying the Gold chick's watch 🤣 🤣
Citizen It's a nice brand of watches, I really appreciate them, especially the eco drive radio controlled ones

I'm hoping this particular model goes on sale for Christmas.
I've got it on my list for Black Friday.
Does anyone know whats the reference for the metal bracelet of the limited edition... i want to buy it and use it with this watch here

I don’t think it has an hourly chime. I haven’t seen that feature.
Automatics don't have an hourly chime, either. I installed an hourly chime app on my phone. Problem solved.
Looking forward to seeing it properly tested as only JK can 😅😅
I passed on this one, I love the looks but I only do atomic or bluetooth, why they left atomic out of the chipset is beyond frustrating.
It's infuriating that they left out atomic time.

Great video! It has less features but I would still take my Seiko Arnie SNJ 029 over this citizen.
Super sexy looking watch & super legible negative display too (Casio, pls take note of this pls).
I have the green version and it's great. 💥💥

Should have just put a donut in the box this time to fool us
Can’t imagine how his watches are scratched 😂
This watch is begging to come in titanium version...
Reminds me of a ProTrek copycat. Still a nice looking watch.
cool
Earlier Gshock was the poor brand to get the JimKinkade Abuse.
Now it's also the poor Citizen 😅
Really nice looking watch, and such a fun presenting style! I think I’d rather die than wear a watch that says P R O M A S T E R on the strap though.
The watch need wave Cepter it will be perfect
You’re right!
For the price it should have been made from titanium, i don't buy steel watches, there too heavy.
