I really love those sort of one shot fly on the wall this is what I do when I’m in the studio type of videos, and this is like a live playing version of that. But it’s a mood piece like put it on and jus leave it on and tune back in when you feel like it, don’t worry I’ll always be there.
🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗
Thank you to all the humans playing wit me on the screen.

I quit my job today.
After 22 years.
I listened now this set.
Everything is alright
I hope you are fine. Hope
If you made that decision, it was the right one. Best of luck to you, man.
Work doesn't define who you are, most of the time it defines what you can tolerate to survive.
you will be alright. bro.
@@qaztrewqaz9960 ‘bro’ lol no
That mashup of Sabrina with Frank Ocean‘s Chanel and Moderats‘ New error was just..magical
+1
As a now 58 year old man, this is awkward but being born in Scotland, traveled the world, and now living in the states, music has always been a huge part of my experiences. I’ve seen Frankie Knuckles, Kraftwerk, KLF, Paul Oakenfold and many other early influencers in amazing places and with great memories but I have to say that Fred has evolved this space yet again and am so blown away by your work, I am archiving for my daughter (who is only two) and hoping we/she gets to experience much more of this and will keep hope that the world and humanity continues to find a singular connection thru the beauty of what you’re bringing, thank you Fred 👊
Fucking awesome. Coming from Ayrshire South West Scotland xx
In Edinburgh I grew to love Scotland, in Glen Etive I understood it. Love the place and its people and totally share your sentiment on Fred. Your daughter will love it.
Preach x
How high are you lol
I defo get KLF vibes here.
Is it just me, or does anyone else get emotional while listening to his sets?
Same here bro
its impossible not to be
💯
trust me I'm fighting my tears every time too hehe
27:10 I'm gonna explode, the tension in her voice with that melody in slow, calming tempo? It's marvelous how Fred know to work with emotions and send them to us soulfully and clearly.
Fred is what everyone thought that a DJ would do
An artist ❤True to form.
this is so true yet I dont remember much of it happening
No he isn't
And more
Nah not really. Hes a producer that enjoys all music, whether it be making or mashing it up.
im telling my kids this was mozart
Yes brother
This is not live performance, this is a emotional story 😍
Yessss......
💯% legit!
epic movement also
We may have lost dancing, but I found Fred again...
How the hell is a grown man of 37 tearing up at the talent on display here
Been into house music and underground for 25 years
And never in my life have I seen someone marry underground beats with such strong emotional vocals/ melodies
Protect fred at all costs ❤
Well said brother! This is special
I'm right there with you.
I’m in the same boat my friend
Couldn’t have put it better myself
Been into house since 1990, 33 fucking years....never heard an artist like Fred, he is an utterly unique talent who has an incredible ability to express his soul and emotion via music. A generational talent
I showed this set to my dad so he could understand my passion with music and my dream to pursue it as my career & while I explained it to him why music means so much to me; I started to cry and he was so in tuned with this set it finally clicked in his head. Thank you Fred. You’re such an amazing person
Awesome!
This is so beautiful! What kind if music do you pursue?
It's actually mad how genius this guy is...
True. 😊
Boiler Room set brought me here. Talent is unreal. Iv seen not many like it. Brilliant.
Same here.... watching all the fred again stuff at the moment!
Same! This video made me cry at the Covid bit ("we've lost dancing") and then leap out of my seat in joy when Fred thought it was time to dance again..
Fred again..
(1) A meteor shaping into one of the world's most prominent artists of the 2020's.
(2) A digitally-deft classically-trained emotionally-expansive genre-shifting people-loving dance-dynamo of art!
(3) One cool MFer
I'm glad it did.
sameee
I’m looking for all the Fred content now.

@@laurencollins1036 sending you strength. Keep going, things will ease. It will be up and down but hold on 🖤
Anyone have the lyrics for Angie (interlude)?
been listening to electronic music since '93. Fred has officially changed the game. He's a generational talent and I feel so fortunate to be alive on his way up.

You said what I wanted to
Word
Agree wholeheartedly.
I've been in a whirlwind listening to all of his stuff since I found him by chance from a RUclips short.
Would love to see a live set.
Nothing's changed. This type of music has been made before in the 2010s.
This is the most beautiful album I’ve listened to in the recent years
wow thank u
Same, such a good discovery :)
It is indeed
Same ♥️
Same. I guess this isn't even an "album" but it instantly cracked my all time top 10. This man is the Bo Burnham of DJing, elevating his art form and transcending it altogether.
Moderat - A New Error (Fred again . . Edit) - I'm like WOOOWWWWZAAA
Release this please!
Never could agree more to comment!
Ummmm Frank Ocean with Moderat?! this shit is bazingaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
24:25
Ufffffffffff
Can't stop coming back and I genuinely believe this might be one of the greatest works of art ever made.
me too. I'm always here to remember the lyrics, the sound. this set is amazing! 17:46
This was the video that got me into fred. The next vid I watched was his boiler room set. These two will always be a time portal for me back to a major transformative time of my life that forever altered my course. In so many ways he carried me through those times. His style is so natural and raw, it's soulful! Thank you Fred!! Forever grateful 🙏 😊
I can't tell if i'm tearing up because i'm feeling nostalgic, mushy, captivated, impressed or ecstatic..
It’s everything x
I want Fred Again to dominate the music world. Soulful music
❤️
We will all unite as one
This isn't music - this is therapy. Love you Fred.
Hearing the poem in "A Party" is the perfect way to describe anxiety and depression, at least for me. It keeps me trapped and scared and dangles hope in front of me only to snatch it away.
The fact that something this beautiful exists, capturing the raw moments of the world, sculpting them into an emotional and tangible song, makes me so excited to be alive.
It's describe it like reverse-nostalgia, it makes me excited for the future.
GREAT COMMENT! I feel the same way 🥲
Absolutely agreed
Favorite part is Fred dancing to Marea
I cried, I danced, I lived, thank you Fred.
Before fred, id never seen something capture the rollercoaster of emotions that is the modern world. I love the way he appreciates the samples he uses, and feels a deep connection with them. You can see it when he puts his hand to his chest, he flows between the state of the musical performer/composer to the state of a deeply feeling human being with an appreciation for those whose samples he’s used. I love this so much. I feel like I am a part of it with you all. Hang in there.x
It’s amazing- I’ve lots of DJ mates in Glasgow n Edinburgh underground techno/dnb/tek/house and the passion compared to these commercial button pushers. Fred is one of a kind talent n got me through rock bottom. Walking the streets playing on headphones - homeless n hopeless to starting my new life ❤
He’s unbelievable ❤❤
Agreed @MrCharlie066
A lot of these are written in hard parts of his life and the emotion shows when he performs them like this, like a time capsule. I feel like he’s almost a electro version of Adele
@@laurencollins1036I hope you are doing well in life and you are now happy ❤ if not keep trying it’s coming
The full version of A Party is so beautiful, Fred. The most emotionally effective piece you've made.
I definitely suggest watching the full video of her spoken word performance. Spectacular.
Got my voice shaking singing along…

Explaining depression to my mother by Sabrina Benaim
@@LuisMendoza-ny5fb the song he plays vocal samples over at the beginning of the track is A New Error by Moderat, then cuts into his own song Sabrina (i am at a party)

@1pufc and @krytolandros I've been looking for that mix this whole year... thanx!
Fred's made me feel my emotions again.
Fred (makes me feel emotions) again
Crazy how he does this no?
His body language at 27:00 and at 33:13 when his hand goes to his heart speaks volumes to me. Those two last tracks share very heartfelt messages; one about mental health struggles and the other about the effort we all make to keep moving forward. Those words come straight from his heart. His willingness to sing those words allow us to see the inner world of Fred and at the same time to connect with him through time and space. I feel like all of us can connect with what he sings about and that gives those songs a power to reach our hearts and really vibe with him. Peace and love!
Thanks for telling us this. Good job 👍
This is the difference between making music and feeling music. This is just an extension of him, its literally pouring out of him and its absolutely wonderous!
I saw Fred again.. last night in Berlin. Without being over dramatic it was probably one of the best live music experience I've had in my 30 years. This music has so much human life in it, and it's also a fxcking party x
I totally understand what you mean! I keep telling people like, not to sound crazy but his performance gravitated my soul and I felt the energy like never before. I saw him live for the first time ever last week at Electric Forest. This man is so talented.
This is the perfect comment
@@ThePrincessDyy I was there too... by myself because all of my homies went to Griz and they didn't know who Fred is... ABSOLUTELY not regretting it!!!!!! I wish they came with and experienced it too because it was just something out of this world!!!!
Saw him in Switzerland. Same man, you put it better than I could.
hope he really tours Europe properly in the future :o
25:32 is where the realest shit starts. DUDE the sampling, production, vocals all amazing... I'm crying in a good way.
Its… Marvelous!
Dont like this acapella on moderat - a new error but overall its a really great live set. Love it.
@@greedizgood I really love the combination of both. The moderat track suits the lyrics so well! And then the transition from a new error to the original beat of his album in 26:57 is amazing 🌞
very crafty with the sampling of the vocals and mixed unto the creeping (lol) arpeggiated build up ... well done... almost theatrical... or film like. crafty super
I am the party
This set is truly incredible, hits every emotion. Couldn't thank you enough for this beautiful 38 minutes of therapy. At work, at home or the gym this is playing for me. One of the greatest on the music scene.
The full speech behind im a party is so good. Would have never guessed just based off the released version on the album
38:15
Does anyone else loose it emotionally at the 25 min point? That young ladies poem about explaining anxiety and depression is so powerful and relatable.

Like fred has buckets of talent but there are tons of people who have talent but not the means to make it.....

This is on the same level of genius as Pink Floyd or Bon Iver. Music that touches you on a level that can't be put into words.
There's no doubt that you will be an absolute Superstar one day Fred. Much Love.
Been trying to pin this down, but it’s the ability to take loads of inorganic sounds which on their own are cold and sharp but bleed them together into something serene and human.
That 8 minute build into Marea might be the greatest thing I've heard in my life
I just learned of you from your Tiny Desk Concert this week. I don't listen to music like this usually, but the marimbas caught my eye, and when I read the description, I was really curious what you are about. I'm sharing it with my music students. It's hauntingly beautiful, not something I think of when I think of electronic music. Thank you for opening my mind!
19:10 maaan that buildup in Marea is so good. Goosebumps all over. Such a magical track.
for those who dont know, my new album is out now
Got it the other day and been on repeat since. Listen to it riding my motorbike and honestly not smiled that much in ages. Your tunes are truly amazing. Cheers. G
AOTY! Please release on vinyl!
You’re a really good producer bro keep doing this

the best album I've heard this year!
That fact that the bro just chugs back a guiness at 20:48 and just jams out to his vibe with the most brilliant glide gets me wild.
Thanks Fred for brining back Nostalgia
You are literal divine intervention in such a beautiful form! Don’t stop sharing your gift Fred. Thank you so so so so much! You make us feel what it is to be alive. You bring the empathy and hope back to the hopeless.
The transition from Chanel to Sabrina is top notch, the feels. So real.
Best part
Sabrina is my tune of the the year. I play it on repeat it real hits hard on the feels.
So... I have a feeling that the Universe has put together a handful of artists that they share the same sounds, vibrations and they express the same feelings. For me those people are Jamie XX, Bicep, The Blaze, Rachel K Collier and now there's Fred Again.. welcome to my favs club, man. I've been waiting for you.
100% totally agree

There is no artist in the same galaxy as Fred, he is utterly unique in his ability connect with the human emotion

Yup. Soooooo good
I have an idea, it’s probably similar to mine 😎
4.1M viewers for this incredible set by Fred over 2 years & only 65k (as of me writing) likes & he only has 429k subs. You don't realise the work that goes into this & his talents are so unique, yet people consume, feel something, feel emotions, get something from this & still cannot show gratitude. Music is also an exchange, show some love. It's free, just as this performance was. Much love
Thank you, Fred Again! Your positive, creative, authentic, vulnerable, and loving voice and art - letting us into your world has opened the door for so many to live again. I don’t expect anybody will ever read this but this man is going to change the whole industry. Generational Talent. You’re so much into the field, you really embody what music is all about. From your skills on the mk3, to the finesse of your pads, or the pure sound of your voice. Doesn’t matter if I listen to your released tracks on a daily basis or watch this kind of videos in my bed. The emotions your listeners experience, no other artist has been able to convey that to me yet. Hands down one of the most down to earth geniuses we will ever witness. Love you for what you do Brother ❤️❤️❤️.

This could be my words! And I'm 40 too
"we've lost dancing" is more than just the snivelling howl of an effeminate generation.
It is the expression of a deep-seated social and global depression.
And "i'm so tired of being strong" sums it up beautifully.
This album will probably remain for me the image of this epoch.
Great piece of art.
"The snivelling howl of an effeminate generation" Lmao!! Spot on

I just love this guy. And I read all the comments below and they are so beautiful, and is so great that everyone here feel the same listening to his music. So emotional, nostalgic, motivated. I FOUND YOU BEAUTIFUL @FredAgain ❤🔥❤🖤
I'm in disbelief at what I've stumbled upon here. I'm 43 and other than going to a Sasha Refracted gig in London a couple of years ago, my clubbing days are a cherished but distant memory. I do, however retain my love for electronic music from my era and most car journeys will involve an old sentimental mix from Sasha/ Digweed/ Oakenfold etc. I've come across a couple of current acts/producers but nothing that's stopped me dead in my tracks like this. Funnily enough I stumbled upon Fred in the comments of the really poor M.I.A Boiler room. I will say, she's extremely talented and had great track selection. Just really shocking mixing. I then checked out Freds boiler room and went on to spend most of the weekend down a wormhole. I am moved by his music more than anything I can remember. I myself have been lost for a while but feel I'm able to find a way back after hearing his music.
You nailed it my friend. My thoughts exactly. I am also 43 and grew up in NYC clubs. I feel old but still love the music. Fred brings me back with the vibe. Food for the soul. Keep the vibe going till we're Senior citizens listening to Carl Cox! The music unites us! I can't make it to the club anymore but I never stop dancing. Even if it's by myself...
the mental health themes, the production/visuals, the whole uplifting vibe... man i love alotta artists but you the only one rn putting out stuff that makes me want to make music again. love bro!
Fred, thank You. I'm crying. Years ago I had to watch my father going thru major depression and anxiety. He died. Then bad didn't stop happening, and finally, I had to fight depression and anxiety. It's a sinkhole, and not every time u see the exit. And then, I find You and Your music. The moment at 25:30... it's huge, i see now that maybe "I have lost dancing" but thanks to You, I found it again. Love.
Listened to this on repeat coming out of covid fog years ago, listening back to it now and realizing just how much of an impact it had over me getting through that time. Love all your stuff Fred ❤️
