Been doing some research about Death Stranding. Death Stranding Definition: Also known as a Cetacean Stranding is when a whale is discovered dead due to becoming beached. Limbo: The waiting room of the dead, often depicted as an infinite beach. In Christian mythology, it is where unbaptised babies and those who have lived a good life, but never converted to Christianity go after they die. Dying: In interviews, it has been said the dying in death stranding will instead of being a game over, will actually play a part in the game. Revelations King James 20:13: And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Daryl's Dog Tags: It has been discovered that on Norman Reedus' dog tags, as seen in the trailer shows equations related to quantum physics and blackholes.

I've buried 19 of hours into this game so far, occasionally seeing Mads Mikkelsen during cutscenes which seem to be flashbacks about him being a nice guy, but I'm still yet to see him in this agressive form. Still so curious about what's gonna happen. I should find more time to play this game further.
Keep going bro! I've put in about 45 hrs so far and it's getting insane! haha I wasn't sure in the first few hours, but now I know this game is for me : )
I finished playing the game in the 2021's Quarantine period. Trust me, its worth it. Keep playing it and enjoying it. Don't give up at any point, your future self will thank you for playing such an incredible game. Keep On Keeping On.
From what I am understanding from this video: Del Torro = Kojima The baby = Kojima's work The military = KONAMI Mads Mikkelsen = KONAMI CEO The doll = Metal Gear Series This makes me kinda sad knowing what Kojima has gone through
The way the compass at that guy's chest moves at 3:58, the way that baby's eye blinks at 4:13 and the way fish swim in the new trailer are hinting something weird is happening to gravity/magnetic poles
It's really inspiring to see Kojima apply his love for movies and his original plan to be a movie director in a different platform... it's like he forced it into existence from the very first Metal Gear game, I don't know the man but it's almost a proud moment having played the Polygon format of MGS 1 back in 98 as a kid.
I saw DeadMan and Heartman's theory of the beach and how every person can be placed to a unique world. They still dont explain why that tank has guts and tentacles coming out from inside!
I think it's because it was Clifford's beach and it has something to do with him going to hell and back to bring the best of the best soldiers he can ever recruit just to get his BB back.
He's a soldier and if there one thing we know is that war can be hell for soldiers like him. Who know maybe those tentacles are for the soldiers who drowned at sea died fighting.
Because it´s abstract symbolism. You can´t explain it precisely but it makes some kind of sense or at least awakens ideas and emotions when you see it. That´s the point of art - exploring the unknown in an aesthetic manner.
Anyone notice the hand signals are the same from the new trailer. New guy has that tracking device like the others so maybe Madds character isn’t a bad guy.
“The characters are very dualistic in (Kojima’s) games: There is no such thing as a bad guy or a good guy in his games,” Mikkelsen said. “It is all a challenge; you have to go through these characters to achieve certain things. And it’s also a learning curve, and they will be an obstacle for you sometimes, and sometimes they will be a help for you.” Mikkelsen went on to suggest that the roles of Death Stranding’s characters may shift as the plot unfolds. “(Kojima’s) games are not as black and white as Hollywood is sometimes,” he said. “So there are more nuances of gray in his world. You’ll have to encounter these characters in different ways throughout the game.”
While the game itself is a lot of fun and one of my favorites, it would have been just as fun if Death Stranding had just remained a bunch of highly conceptual, loosely connected trailers for a nonexistent game. Also, remember reading Kojima tweets that suggested dying was going to be a more involved game mechanic - I.e., dying (and perhaps destroying the world [this was before the concept of voidouts was announced]) at the right times and places being how you progress - but the delivery man sim with light stealth and gun combat that predicted Covid-era isolation and loneliness was just as novel. The perfect game to herald in the 2020s.
@@augiemdmorado i feel like they were bound because of the tech. Even though the ps4 was extremely capable, it was simply getting old. The next gen hardware may just be enough to support some of the wilder abandoned ideas which we might see in DS2.
I’m so happy this game exists and a sequel to come. People want to hate on it because it’s just so different than your average fighting and first person shooter typical game. It’s way more than what they claim, they just gave up on it too soon. Maybe the story is too complex too idk but it’s great to me.
This breaks the fourth wall in so many layers. I'm still stunned how the world on the other side of the screen seeps into our world and how our world seeps into the world behind the screen. To worlds, in one game. It is not even compareable to any kind of art that I know. I wish you success Mr Kojima. May this be the beginning of a new era. The era of Homo Ludens.
When I saw this 7 years ago, I thought it is half life related :)) I was so intrigued but in time i forgot about it until the new gameplay trailers and it hooked me back (also I love Mads Mikkelsen). I was very curious about what is going on. It was my first Kojima title I played, I didn't knew his stile. I loved the game, still play it from time to time. And the weirdest part, almost everyone, including me, finds this game SO interesting. I'll buy this even if it costs hundreds of dollars!
So happy that Ludvig Forssell is working with Kojima again, the OST in Phantom pain and in Ground zeroes were superb, especially the intro in Ground zeroes. Can't wait for the release for Death Stranding.
That's more true than you know. There's more to the story than what you have when the game ends. Remember when Amelie says: "But, to connect the dots, to make sense of everything, you need perspective. You need time."? That's not Amelie talking to Sam. That's Kojima talking to the player. There are so many clues hidden in the cutscenes to a mystery the player is not even presented with.
If you told me when this trailer came out that this is happening because a ghost time tornado sent del toro back in time I would have told you “interesting, how did you get in my house?”
It'll most probably explain the fact that Deadman is, in fact, dead by the time he interacts with Sam and the holographic projection we see is an AI crafted around the man's personality and knowledge. He was probably killed by Cliff in the "hell" dimension.

Daryl's Dog Tags: It has been discovered that on Norman Reedus' dog tags, as seen in the trailer shows equations related to quantum physics and blackholes.
TheZombiesReanimated awesome work man.
yep.. sounds like a Kojima game alright
I just finished this part of the game.
And it's 10/10.
This is... one of the best modern video games I've ever play. Thank you for put this video game on my hands.
Mads' character controls skeletons using black wires.
Skeletons... *death*...
Wires... *stranding*...
PuppetMaster9 dude....
goddammit
PuppetMaster9 Umbilical cords.
One of my favorite directors and one of my favorite actors in one of my favorite game designers' creation ♥
Incredibly atmospheric, especially with this wonderful music
I love this moment. Mads (Cliff)is so cool
Why am I watching this 10 times every day?
DiegoTube85 because even though you have no idea what this is about, it looks and sounds amazing! =D
Whew ..I thought I was the only one..Been like two years and still I watch it 10 times everyday ..
This is the trailer that makes me want to play this game so bad
1:27 god i love the ominous music that starts playing here, wish i could hear the full track
ruclips.net/video/EXzJjhTiwq0/видео.html well it`s closest you can get.
@@LPrussia07 Nice find :O Thanks
Enjoy, friend. Also there`s rumor that at The Game Awards 2018 the release date will be announced. Can`t wait for what Kojima got in store for us.
Started this game a few days ago! Got 45hrs now and more are comming. I love this game so much ♥️
Game’s been getting mixed reviews but that hasn’t killed my hyped. He did say it wouldn’t be a game for everyone.
The way that guys helmet and visor disappeared is awesome.
Tooooooo awesome.
I've put in about 45 hrs so far and it's getting insane! haha
I wasn't sure in the first few hours, but now I know this game is for me : )
I finished playing the game in the 2021's Quarantine period. Trust me, its worth it. Keep playing it and enjoying it. Don't give up at any point, your future self will thank you for playing such an incredible game. Keep On Keeping On.
And here we are... In 2022. Kojima Predictions.
From what I am understanding from this video:
Del Torro = Kojima
The baby = Kojima's work
The military = KONAMI
Mads Mikkelsen = KONAMI CEO
The doll = Metal Gear Series
This makes me kinda sad knowing what Kojima has gone through
Samath Lokuge lul
I hope the trailer isnt just a representation of Kojima's situation but that this is actually gonna be in the game
+Boost4Life Aww. Aren't you adorable.
The way the compass at that guy's chest moves at 3:58, the way that baby's eye blinks at 4:13 and the way fish swim in the new trailer are hinting something weird is happening to gravity/magnetic poles
feels like something weird is happening to everything possible
And the upside-down rainbow in the sky!
Something weird is happening to Kojima's brain
Watching this after playing the game so fun and reading comments lol
It's really inspiring to see Kojima apply his love for movies and his original plan to be a movie director in a different platform... it's like he forced it into existence from the very first Metal Gear game, I don't know the man but it's almost a proud moment having played the Polygon format of MGS 1 back in 98 as a kid.
I think this game actually lived up to the hype
Kojima is a master. He makes the best trailers.
Superlosia and the best games
I saw DeadMan and Heartman's theory of the beach and how every person can be placed to a unique world. They still dont explain why that tank has guts and tentacles coming out from inside!
I think it's because it was Clifford's beach and it has something to do with him going to hell and back to bring the best of the best soldiers he can ever recruit just to get his BB back.
That place is Hades it represents the global conflicts from the past like World War 1, World War 2 and Vietnam
4:25 - Look at that smirk! It fills you with chills!
Anyone notice the hand signals are the same from the new trailer. New guy has that tracking device like the others so maybe Madds character isn’t a bad guy.
I wish it were so, but I think he might have been infected and turned bad hence the 'goo' on his face? I hope you're right though.
Madds is obviously a bad guy, he always plays evil characters.
It's a shame, because in his native Denmark he has mainly played the good guy - would have been nice that's all.
I mean, Madds said himself he didn't think Kojima's characters were "good" or "evil" as a matter of course.
“The characters are very dualistic in (Kojima’s) games: There is no such thing as a bad guy or a good guy in his games,” Mikkelsen said. “It is all a challenge; you have to go through these characters to achieve certain things. And it’s also a learning curve, and they will be an obstacle for you sometimes, and sometimes they will be a help for you.”
Mikkelsen went on to suggest that the roles of Death Stranding’s characters may shift as the plot unfolds. “(Kojima’s) games are not as black and white as Hollywood is sometimes,” he said. “So there are more nuances of gray in his world. You’ll have to encounter these characters in different ways throughout the game.”
The speculation about this game was fucking insane. These trailers were perfect.
This was the only game i pre-ordered
was it worth it
When I saw this 7 years ago, I thought it is half life related :)) I was so intrigued but in time i forgot about it until the new gameplay trailers and it hooked me back (also I love Mads Mikkelsen).
I was very curious about what is going on. It was my first Kojima title I played, I didn't knew his stile.
I loved the game, still play it from time to time.
It is a very complex story, full of symbolism, very hard to digest for the casual gamers. Like a graffiti wall doodle punk at a Salvador Dalí exhibition :))
@@tee9828 absolutely was worth it. The game came out pretty polished and didn't need 200 patches to fix. It was priced fairly. The game was good. Again it's one of those "hit or miss" games for some but personally it's great
Why is Kojima such a genius? Two amazing trailers with military, dead sea creatures and three great stars from the film industry and still we don't have the faintest idea what this game is about!!!!!!! And the weirdest part, almost everyone, including me, finds this game SO interesting. I'll buy this even if it costs hundreds of dollars!
hehe yeah ... its just a hyperbole sir Kojima sir.....hehe ...dont listen to this guy pls...some of us live with budgets...
Dude don't ruin this. I'm trying to convince him that people badly want this game to come out soon!!!!!! :-P
Those are some amazing graphics and facial animations there, Koji pushing boundaries again!
Rushnerd the photorealism here is strong.
It's a CGI
So happy that Ludvig Forssell is working with Kojima again, the OST in Phantom pain and in Ground zeroes were superb, especially the intro in Ground zeroes.
Can't wait for the release for Death Stranding.
Death Stranding is a game that doesn't grow on you.
You grow on it.
That's more true than you know. There's more to the story than what you have when the game ends. Remember when Amelie says:
"But, to connect the dots, to make sense of everything, you need perspective. You need time."? That's not Amelie talking to Sam.
That's Kojima talking to the player. There are so many clues hidden in the cutscenes to a mystery the player is not even presented with.
I'll stop watching this video one day, but only when we have a new trailer
remember when we were saying that this was related to metal gear? What times..
I still think it's related to p.t😂 maybe kojima ended what he started in that game
who else watches this trailer religiously?
religiously!
I watch it confusingly.
Every time I watch this trailer it gets better and better.
Lonely Jew Gaming Ikr, me too.
Mads Mikkelsen is always so insanely terrific.
The first time I play Mr.Kojima ‘s game. I love this game so much ❤️❤️🤩🤩and Mads(Cliff) is my favorite actor. He’s so 😎 cool
Thank you for saying that about Mads, we are very proud of him ❤ 💙 ♥
this asks more questions than it answers and I'm already nerdin' out
Amazing ass soundtrack paired with the always flawless cinematography that only Kojima could pull off. I'm fucking ready.
Guillermo del Toro hides newborn Silent Hill game from the hideous Konami's army of lawyers
Kojima games never fails to keep you thinking about it even when you have completed it huh?
3:59 Hannibal season 2 finale throwback as Mads looks up in to the sky, Kojima couldn't make this trailer any better
Mads Mikkelsen is there. That's reasons enough for me 😍
If you told me when this trailer came out that this is happening because a ghost time tornado sent del toro back in time I would have told you “interesting, how did you get in my house?”
Beach, not house my friend
I love the subtle church organ/synthesizer sound that plays when the soldiers are first shown. Very creepy.
bbvproductions reminds me of stranger things, and the first e3 trailer of mgsv
Happy that Kojima confirmed this scene is actually in the game 👌
Bryguy 5+ yeah but I’m sure it’ll be downgraded compared to this lol
It'll most probably explain the fact that Deadman is, in fact, dead by the time he interacts with Sam and the holographic projection we see is an AI crafted around the man's personality and knowledge.
He was probably killed by Cliff in the "hell" dimension.
@@Ghostofenzo Nope every single cutscene and trailer kojima has shown is at the same quality as this one and this ain't ubisoft we are talking about here, none of kojima and any playstation exclusive has ever been downgraded
