Funny how they deem the game as historically accurate and yet due to the hate, they overlooked the fact that the sole reason why BBs were cancelled is because CVs proved to be more effective and powerful over Big gun ships...
except in this game non of those reasons exist. the reason cvs were considered to be more powerful is because they could literally destroy any ship with one or two bombs or torpedoes. if you look at irl cv kills most ships (besides the yamato) go down with just 1 or 2 torpedoes and bombs, even most CVs go down when hit by a single torpedo. planes are also damn near possible to shoot down in real life, in yamato's last battle it shot down less than 30 planes in a span of two hours. this game is completely different. there are world borders so CVs cant run infinitely. planes, bombs, and rockets do almost no damage compared to real life. planes are two or three times slower than they are in real life, and probably hundreds of times easier to shoot down. the game is not meant to be historically accurate. almost none of the tier 10 ships in this game or even tier 9 ships ever existed in real life. the only tier 10 battleship that actually existed was the yamato, every other ship is completely fake paper designs.
The planes are simply not up to snuff at all for Tier VIII it seems like. You have to absolutely work your ass off to get any significant amount of damage done. The bombs don't pen many battleships very well at all(although they are good for starting fires) and the torpedoes seem to start floods only about 25% of the time. They also go down really quickly because in Tier VIII games, everything starts to have really good AA.
Bad things about implacable: -Sluggish squadrons speed and acceleration. -Completely RNG based. -2-2-2 on DB squadron setup hardly allow you to make a second drop in an already alpha damage lacking CV. -Bad planes recovery. Good things: -Gorgeous, arguably the best looking CV in the game. -Armored deck. -Hood captain. .... Thank god i reached Audacious.
16:14 free giveaway T8 permacamo from a gimme collection cancels out a lot of sins, you know. It may be garbage-difficult T8 CV play, but this makes it more affordable T8 CV play.
Was playing with Implacable against t9 and two Frieslands. First game with this Carrier where I ran out of planes completely. Not even full attack wing in each of my attack squadron. Not even t10 battle. The funny thing that I tried to conserve planes as much as possible, dropping into water, picking targets and taking safe approach. This CV is helpless against blob. Of course, you can do one attack, but your entire squadron (including attacking wing) will go down. And UK CVs are known for their tiny deck space. But what am I talking about? Better nerf Carriers again!
Forgetting to mention an important factor...aircraft HP! IJN planes would have been ripped to shreds against those 4 ships in A before able to make any attack. The aircraft HP of the British CV allowed for third strike ability from most squadrons you launched. And nearly150k with a T-8 CV is pretty impressive...even if there's dislike for the ship.
Wg buffed the fk out of Smolensk even though it doesn't really need a buff while implacable still never gets buffed even though it really needs to get buffed
Bombing run at 6:48, 2 pen 3,102dmg, so 1 pen is around 1606dmg. At this time the maximum dmg of 1 Implacable's bomb is 4900dmg. I'll save my comment here for future research once I have the Implacable. Currently, the maximum dmg of 1 bomb is 5600dmg.

lol, im actually using hood on my implacable as well. Terrible ship tho, had her for over a year now and still havent gotten to audacious, really tells how little I want to play her
Implacable is the only good-looking CV can only assist. It'll get her chance to get some kills with skill and a slight amount of luck to play with its flaws. I like the way it is.
I hate playing with the British cv because your enemies just have to angle 90 degrees towards your bombers and boom 2 bombs at best hit. Unfortunately I picked British cv's cuz all said they would be the best. Looking into that I would say the US and Japanese CV's are the better choice. Cause the Japanese habe pretty accurate ap bombers who deal a lot of damage and can attack from the side and us Bombers also a lot of damage with one hit. The Us have more torpedoes on their planes and the Japanese have ap bombs. With booth it doesn't matter that much if you don't attack from an angle and not from bowl to stern.
RN CV DB is too easy to dudge, but if you want to land at least half of it you can try aim on the side not on the middle, it works for me specialy against cruiser
VS T6 it works really fine for me and makes fun, 100k dmg a game. But Mid-Tier is in general only strugling, but vs. T10 its a complete waste of time with around 20 k dmg a game.

Yes, that is the worst CV. Apart from Hermes, this is the worst CV inn the game. Looks like wargaming was thinking more about not damaging other ships than making its player have a decent ship. You where lucky with several players not using DCP correctly, so DOT damage actually was decent. You are a good player, but even this does not make this CV shine. You get the most out of it, but this dead horse of a CV needs to be put down or properly buffed.

agreed, it is best when focusing down a specific target over multiple attacks due to the higher flooding and fire chance it gets over other carriers
