I have to agree with the rest of the commenters, this house is odd and overall unappealing. The first thing that caught my attention is that you built a house in rual setting in TN without a front porch. Talk about a southern no no. Then you walk into that big house and suddenly have a bathroom on one side and the kitchen on the other. The flooring is beautiful , but everything else is cold and uninviting. The 1970s called and they want thier pannelling back. Half the point of a garage in this part of the country is being able to get groceries and such from car to house WITHOUT stepping out into the unpleasant weather. In this part of the country that could be sweltering heat and humidity in July or August. It could be blowing rain that would blow right through that walkway on occasion. It could be serious wind and hail. The layout is odd like it's for several house holds in one building. Add all that to the fact that a gated community ususally has a mandatory HOA with all the fees and headaches that come with one. It's mostly stark white, sterile and cold. It's completely unwelcoming.

The entrance left a lot to be desired. With such beautiful surroundings, I would have expected the architect to take it into account before designing. Instead, this home looks like it was just dropped on the lot. In addition, the entry way is tight and you basically are greeted by a bathroom. The brass touches are lovely however, and it’s great to see a non stainless steel fridge. :)

This house is all over the place. I can’t tell where you are in the home. It would REALLY help (since a lot of these homes are not staged), it would help if the rooms were labeled. The layout is “kinda funky.”

I think this one is going to be a challenge to sell. Weird layout, and some other major cons for $4.7M.

I know it’s up to the seller, but at this price point, I expect to see some staging. I think it was a bad call to leave the entire home empty. It would show much better furnished. There were some nice features though.

The house facade is beautiful. The kitchen left me utterly disappointed. I tried to get copper gutters put on my house and the company refused to do it saying they get stolen so much. They told me a story of a sports star who got copper gutters on an expensive house and thought his remote location would keep them from being lifted. It didn’t. 😂

Why they didn’t integrate that fridge to match the rest of cupboards?? Why make a feature of it? Makes no sense and just looks ugly…..sigh…. The primary bath just looks cheap…the grout is too dark and tiles choices are not good. I would expect a lot more for the price…

    - No overhang on the eaves?
-No wall cabinets in the kitchen?
-No work triangle in the kitchen?
Find yourself a new architect. This would never make it in Raleigh Durham.

Very boxy and chopped up, unimpressive front door/entrance. Lots of wasted, unusable space. Good luck placing furniture. ONE sink in kitchen?!? Second floor needs a laundry room too. In summary, Nope.

I'm going to say it again, at this price point why is there not a shower wand and every shower and none of the showers had benches either what a mistake. At this price point I would want a bidet in every bathroom Yes you heard me right. The door was tight I expect much more of a front door than that I don't like the kitchen right at the front of the house either. The lot is sloping if you wanted to put a pool in which I think it should come with one already but if you wanted to put one in your going to have to do a lot of landscape grading. And the layout is quirky.

$4,700,000 with a 5% return annually or $235,000 makes you filthy rich in Thailand and you can live like a king. I’ll pass on this house.

He proudly tells the name of the designer who wants someone to pay nearly $5M for a front door that looks like you are going into an old 50s mental institution? Seriously? All of that house and you welcome people with such a terrible entrance to your home? $199K homes have better front porches and front doors that this. Every day that this home was being built, someone was saying.... we need to fix the entrance. But, someone else higher up was saying, this is the "medieval" look that some people like. LOL

Meh. Large, common-looking house. American plastic-Tudor style? Cold, sterile and lacks uniqueness, originality. Nothing much to recommend itself. Two pet peeves: garage out front is the first thing one sees - why put it there? - you have six acres to work with, move it to a less prominent spot; secondly, get rid of the island in the kitchen! Overall, imho, a boring design for common nouveau riche.
