I’m very curious about the digital rear view mirror setup. I live in Canada and I remember once being in a Mazda dealer. They told me the CX90 doesn’t have digital rear view mirror. However I also saw pictures of the car with it so it got me super confused. Is it equipped on the top trim or optional for extra money? 🤔
I just took delivery of the top rim PHEV in Canada, unfortunately it only goes up to GT trim which doesn’t have the digital mirror and touch screen at all.
Great review, how does it compare to turbo 340 hp? In terms of power , drive, heard the highway mileage not as good compared to turbo. Which one do you recommend?
For me, the lack of practical space and the price make this a shaky proposition for a family needing to haul a lot of stuff or people. If those aren’t a concern this is a really nice vehicle.
I've always loved Mazdas, but no touch screen is a deal killer for me. They have become too cocky about their M Connect infotainment. I don't get the logic behind the no touch screen. You still allow touch with Android and Apple but will make people use the stupid knob for everything else. Logically, my hand would be closer to the steering wheel if I'm using a touch screen instead of the wheel... assuming that on both cases i would be looking at the screen. If rather use touch screen than fiddling around with the wheel...not sure what their safety issue is all about?
Too narrow, too expensive, slower and weaker than it's segmant competition. Great cit n finish, solid quality, excellent paint job. Not worth the cost.
@@robertdevoy3119 I also was planning on a CX-70 but changed my mind for the same reason. Just bought a 2023 CX-5 to keep my 2017 CX-5 company in the garage. The 2023s are disappearing and the 2024s are in transit and all have Istop standard, so I dodged that annoying feature
@@robertdevoy3119 Of the many options I looked at, It was what fit my budget. The engine pulls nicely, it’s just not as fuel efficient as the 2018 MDX AWD and feels cheap comparatively.
Special thanks to our Patrons for their support of the channel! CX90 or Palisade/Telluride?
Cx90 but telluride palisade are the safe bet
Thank you for this video, I saw here more interesting things about Mazda CX90

We just bought one and it has a digital mirror we have the premium trim

what is the max speed you can get in pure EV mode?
That depends on state of charge. 65 mph - no issue with EV mode. 75 mph+ - likely the gas engine will kick in.
Does the preferred plus version get lane centering?
It does not
Did the transmission feel jerky/slipping at any point? I've seen other reviews that mentioned that.
yes it did, lacked a little finesse and smoothness, but im sure will get sorted in next model year
Still way better that a CVT!!
Always wait a year or two so they can get the kinks worked out

Haven’t gotten to drive the turbo yet 🥲
You need to figure out where the battery is and what is the towing capacity for PHEV before making this video.
I believe the tow rating is 3500 lb.s. I would like to know what the gas mileage is on this model while towing.

Mazda have touch screen, but doesn't work in drive mode, only P mode.

I know that you are not a mechanic but if you really want to know the worst things watch the car care nut review of the lack of serviceability
Yes,,,, a real eye opener that video. I was interested in the upcoming CX-70 but not anymore. I'll hang on to my 2019 CX-5 Signature instead.

I just went from a base 2018 Acura MDX SH-AWD to a 2024 CX-90 Preferred Premium and it feels like a downgrade in many ways. Very disappointing.
You should haven't got the turbo S premium plus model
Do you miss the Piano Black dashboard parts from the MDX? IMHO MDX (with V6), and a PHEV with I-4 is not apples-to-apples comparison.
Does not make sense, so you bought CX-90 WITHOUT ANY Comp to your 2018???
Why did you buy it... for the straight 6?
