This game is chefs kiss. It takes inspiration from the first Spider-Man game I played when I was little. It’s called Spider-Man webs of shadows and you fight against an alien invasion in that one too.
At this point INSOMNIAC needs our support MORE THAN EVER so we can push for that M-rated VENOM spin-off game or DLC.

I absolutely loved seeing the joy on Miranda's face when she got to play as Venom. She'll never truly know how much joy she's brought to so many of us when we needed it the most so it's good to see her be happy. Glad Toby is all healthy and I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

The symbiote isn't just messing with harry's head. Harry's desire is to fulfil his mom's dream of healing the world so the symbiote is responding to it's host desire. It's doing it in a not good way, but wanting to heal the world comes from harry himself.

Yea its like it amplifies what ever the person is feeling in a negative way.
It’s basically manipulating its host telling them all their hopes and dreams telling them that you can accomplish them but only with me. Disguising its voice with his mother’s and basically manipulating him into doing what it wants until it becomes strong enough to have full control and turn harry into the host while the symbiot is the main personality.
@@jarvisfowlkes3200Peter convinced himself that he had to keep the symbiote because "it makes me a better Spider-Man". Just like it's convincing Harry that it will "heal the world" by turning everyone into symbiotes.
It should have been written to do it in a heroic way instead of becoming a villain.
Insomniac are also fans, they know what people wanted. They didn't disappoint, it's so crazy because this version of Venom is on another level

Too bad they didn't realize that some of us wanted to see Venom as a hero instead of a villain. Oh well, I guess Harry as a heroic version of Venom just wasn't wanted enough.

"You destroyed our work. Hurt our friends" Yeah, Harry knows what Kraven did to the foundation hurting Peter and Mary Jane, plus Harry's anger made the symbiote become a mix of Spider-Man and his emotional state.
Plus when having the main villains included, it was inevitable to include other Spidey villains that have a link to either Kraven or Venom with Venom's case it was a version of Carnage, (Cletus Kasady) a convicted serial killer in comics but here though, a radical cultist with similar serial killer behavior.

23:11 I was so expecting a little Fantastic Four appearance like Venom went inside the Baxter Building or something but the signal jumped to somewhere else. I feel like this was insomniac's way of showing people that Fisk Tower from the first game has been turned into the Baxter Building for people who don't explore much of the city or just missed this iconic Marvel building. For anyone wondering why I thought the F4 would play a part in the game is because in the comics Peter visits the F4, this being how he finds out that the Black Suit is a Alien with the help of Reed Richards.
But in the game they instead went with Curt Connors who is the person Peter went to in the Ultimate Universe and also the Spider-Man 3 film.
Yes, in the original comicbook story it's Reed Richards who tells Peter his suit is an alien symbiote. But in pretty much every other adaptation it's someone else who tells him this because Reed Richards isn't around/doesn't exist in that adaptation's universe.
Man, wish we can see the Fantastic Four in Spider-Man 3 game.
@@johnsantos507I prefer the references we get to other heroes in these games but not having them appear. I want Spider-Man to defeat the villains and save the day, not have other heroes show up and fix everything. I liked in the first game when you take a photo of Avengers Tower and Spidey says "They're always on the west coast", explaining why they weren't there for the Devil's Breath crisis, or what happens in this game.

Just like I wouldn't want Spider-Man to show up on the third act of a game starring one of them to help save the day.
Let Spider-Man be the hero who defeats the hero and save the day in a Spider-Man game - not any of the other New York marvel superheroes.

I absolutely love the glee you show when you get to start playing as VENOM. Tis very expressive.
When you were tracking Harry's ID badge, you follow a series of yellow circles on various buildings. The second (?) building in this series had a giant "4" painted on the roof - that's the Baxter Building, home of the Fantastic Four. You can tell that the "4" is newly painted and not yet finished, and there is a BAXTER sign in front of the building on the ground.
This is the same building that was Fisk Tower in the first game.
If you had fun with Venom, then you should try out Ultimate Spider-Man.
Also, Insomniac have disscussed the potential for a Venom spin off.

I'm also surprised to see Carnage. Playing as Venom was also surprising and Jameson continues to make me look at the sky and say by the God. I enjoyed this very very much

KRAVEN dies at the hands (and teeth) of something more than his equal just the way he wanted to.
So many more good moments to remember in this episode:
○ SM Pete and Miles back fighting alongside each other once again;
○ Rio and Ganke safely rescued (Ganke coming clean to Miles about past events in their youth was so funny!);
○ Combo count: 130 (typical that no sooner had you noticed it, it was gone AAARRRGGGHHH!!! 😂 Followed by a 67 - Oh no, what might have been!?);
○ The revelation that 'The Flame' leader also has the symbiote and has threatened "CARNAGE", but will we actually see him too?! I can't wait to find out!

I love how this game subverts your expectations whenHarry becomes Venom and you have Spidey and Venom situated in the exact poses for every other boss battle you've already done. You naturally think "Ok, we're going to fight Venom here." But no - Norman runs in between you and the fight doesn't happen. Genius!

Fun Fact: I think in the comics believe it or not Deadpool was the original host for Venom ( he bonded with 4 symbiotes at the same time as I read ) from what i remember Venom left Deadpool because bonding with him actually made Venom insane
and if your confused about the spiral logo on the symbiotes faces, thats the logo of Knull ( basically the god to symbiotes )
and the reveal of Carnage was epic when I first saw it, also another fact Carnage is the offspring of Venom and it's proven that the symbiote offsprings are stronger and more powerful then their parents.

This episode was fun playable venom crazy unexpected and epic plus seeing carnage amazing now I know what this games DLC could potentially be

R1 and circle are going to be your best friend going forward until the end of the game, you will be pressing the shit out of those two buttons every chance you get. When I played through this half of the game it reminded me of the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. When the Kraang invaded and had their fleshy tendrils, tentacles and growths all over the city, converting people into Cronenburg monsters etc. Also brought back memories of Web of Shadows, never thought we'd be getting a modern callback to that Spiderman game, anyone remember Spiderman Web of Shadows??!!

For a super hero game, this is surprisingly brutal. Vennom is like prototype level brutal only minus the gore, can`t have that here but you`d get the idea.
Besides Kraven, Harry/Venom definitely killed a bunch of Oscorp employees here - especially when you do the finisher and he breaks the back of the guard he's fighting.
Venom has anger issues :D
Pretty sure Carnage will be the big DLC for this game. The way Hammerhead was for the first.
